Frequently Asked Questions - FMOG23BX SABA

What is the power of the SABA FMOG23BX and how many levels are available?
The SABA FMOG23BX offers a microwave output power of 800 W (1,250 W input) and a grill power of 1,000 W. You have 5 adjustable power levels to adapt the cooking to each food.
How to use the grill function of the FMOG23BX?
Press the Grill button to activate this mode. Place your food on the turntable and set the desired time. The grill function is ideal for browning, crisping, or toasting the surface. You can also combine grill and microwave for quick and golden cooking.
How to defrost food with this microwave?
The SABA FMOG23BX offers two defrost modes: by weight (enter the weight of the food and the device automatically calculates the time) and by duration (you set the time yourself). Prefer weight defrosting for optimal results on meats and fish.
How to activate quick start?
The quick start function immediately begins cooking at maximum power (800 W) for 30 seconds per press. Each additional press adds 30 seconds. It's convenient for quickly reheating a drink or dish without navigating through the menus.
How to use the 17 automatic programs?
Select the automatic program corresponding to your food (e.g., popcorn, pizza, vegetables, fish). Enter the weight if the program requires it, then confirm. The device automatically sets the optimal power and duration. Refer to the program table in the manual for the complete list.
How to activate and deactivate the child lock?
The child lock secures the control panel to prevent any accidental use. To activate it, hold the dedicated button for about 3 seconds until the beep sounds. To deactivate it, repeat the same procedure. The lock icon appears on the screen when the function is active.
The turntable has stopped spinning, what should I do?
Check that the turntable support (roller ring) is properly positioned and that the 27 cm turntable is well-centered on its axis. Remove the turntable, clean the axis and the circular rail of any food residue, then replace everything. If the problem persists, the ring or the drive motor may be defective: consult an authorized service or order the part from a specialized site like electromenager-express.com.
The device won't start, what should I check first?
Ensure that the door is properly closed (the microwave will never start with the door open). Then check that the child lock is not activated (lock icon on the screen). Also, check that the power outlet is working and that the timer is not set to zero.
What containers are compatible with this microwave?
In microwave-only mode, use glass, ceramic, or microwave-safe plastic dishes. In grill mode, prefer heat-resistant dishes (glass or ceramic). Never use metal or aluminum in microwave mode: it would cause electrical arcs. Only the grill mode can tolerate certain metal accessories designed for this purpose.
How to clean the inside of the SABA FMOG23BX?
Unplug the device before cleaning. Wipe the interior cavity (painted, easy to maintain) with a damp cloth and a little mild dish soap. Remove and wash the turntable and its support separately. Never use abrasive products or spray cleaner directly inside the device.

How do I set the SABA FMOG23BX microwave screen to turn off automatically and have the device powered down after a few seconds?
Frequently Asked Questions - 05/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The SABA FMOG23BX microwave has an ECO function that automatically turns off the screen after 1 minute of inactivity, reducing energy consumption in standby mode.

To activate the ECO function: Place the microwave in standby mode (screen displaying the time), then press quickly twice on the Stop/Clear button (less than 1 second between the two presses). The screen will display "ECO" for 3 seconds, then the microwave will enter ECO mode. Without any action from you, the screen will automatically turn off after 1 minute. The interior light of the oven also turns off after 1 minute if the door remains open. Any action on the controls (turning a knob, pressing a button) will immediately turn the screen back on.

To deactivate the ECO function: Press the Stop/Clear button quickly twice again (less than 1 second between the two presses) while in standby mode. The screen will display "OFF" for 3 seconds. In normal mode, the screen remains constantly on, even without use.

Important: The ECO function only turns off the screen; it does not completely power down the device. The microwave remains connected to the mains and still consumes a small amount of energy. To completely power down the FMOG23BX, it must be unplugged from the electrical outlet. This action also cancels the ECO mode setting.

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be

collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
