How to install the A-PRO driver on Windows 7?

Insert the included CD-ROM, open the Driver/Win7 folder, then double-click Setup. Follow the instructions. When prompted, connect the A-PRO and set the POWER switch to USB. Restart if necessary.

How to connect the A-PRO to the computer?

Use the included USB cable. Connect it to the A-PRO and to a USB port on the computer. Set the POWER switch to USB. Power is supplied via USB bus or an AC adapter (sold separately).

Can I use the A-PRO without a computer?

Yes, via the MIDI IN/OUT connectors. You can connect it directly to a MIDI sound module. Power is then supplied via the AC adapter.

What to do if the computer does not recognize the A-PRO?

Check that the driver is installed. If necessary, uninstall it then reinstall following the procedure on page 79. Make sure the USB cable is properly connected and the POWER switch is set to USB.

How to select a sound using the A-PRO?

Use the [VALUE] button to scroll through program changes (PGM CHANGE) or select a bank via BANK. You can also use controllers to send Program Change and Bank Select messages.

How to use the DUAL function (layer sounds)?

Press the [DUAL] button to layer two sounds. Adjust the UPPER and LOWER parts with the corresponding buttons. You can also set a split point with SPLIT.

How to assign a MIDI message to a controller?

Enter EDIT mode by pressing [ACT] and [<] simultaneously. Select the controller, then choose the MIDI message type (Note, CC, etc.) in the assignment window. Confirm with [ENTER].

What are control maps?

Control maps are sets of MIDI assignments for all controllers on the A-PRO. The device contains 19 presets. You can select them using the [VALUE] knob or create them with the A-PRO Editor software.

How to reset the A-PRO to factory settings?

In EDIT mode, navigate to SYSTEM SETTING > FACTORY RESET. Confirm with [ENTER]. All user data will be erased.

What are the recommended optional accessories?
