How to use the juicer with the glass jug?

Place the prepared juicer on the glass jug so that it seals the opening tightly. Plug in the appliance, place half a citrus fruit on the cone and press to start. The juice is collected in the jug. To stop, reduce pressure on the cone.

Can I use the juicer without the glass jug?

Yes, for small quantities. The bowl collects the juice (capacity about 100 ml). Use the spout to serve directly or pour the juice into a container.

How to clean the parts?

Unplug the appliance. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Other parts (jug, bowl, cones, etc.) are dishwasher safe or can be washed in soapy water. Never immerse the motor unit.

Why does the fruit press cone change rotation direction quickly?

This happens if the pressure on the cone is too strong. Reduce pressure until the cone rotates normally.

What to do if juice leaks from the appliance without the jug?

Stop immediately. Remove the cone, strainer insert and bowl. Clean the juice flow valve to remove any foreign objects. Reassemble and continue.

Can the glass jug hold hot liquids?

No, the glass jug is not heat-resistant. Never pour hot liquids into it, as it could break.

How many fruits can I juice continuously?

Maximum 10 fruits (about 2 kg). After that, stop juicing until the motor unit cools to room temperature.

Is the appliance suitable for children?

Children aged 8 and above can use it under supervision. Children under 8 should be kept away. Do not let children play with the appliance.

Can I use the appliance for something other than citrus fruits?

No, the appliance is designed only for juicing citrus fruits (lemons, oranges, grapefruits). Do not use it for other substances.

How to store the appliance?

After cleaning and drying, fully assemble the juicer, place it on the glass jug and put the lid on.

This appliance is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. This appliance is suitable for pressing citrus fruits, such as lemons, oranges and grapefruits. It must not be used for processing other substances/objects.

Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. Do not place the appliance on or near hot surfaces, e.g. hobs.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance and connecting cable and do not allow them to use the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Children shall not play with the appliance.

Never manually move the pressing cone/drive shaft.

The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with alternating current via a correctly installed socket with earthing. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic supply has been correctly installed.

Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate specifications. Use only if power cord and appliance show no signs of damage. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cable must only be carried out by our customer service personnel. Do not connect the appliance to or operate it by means of a time

switch or remote control socket.

The mains cable must not come into contact with hot parts or be pulled across sharp edges. Never immerse the appliance or mains cable in water or place it in the dishwasher!

After each use, whenever the appliance is unsupervised, prior to assembly, prior to disassembly, prior to cleaning and in the event of an error, the appliance must always be disconnected from the mains. Before using for the first time

Before the new appliance can be used, it must be fully unpacked, cleaned, and assembled. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. Remove the motor unit, glass carafe, and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove any packaging material that is present.
3. Check all parts for completeness. (See Fig. A / B)
4. Inspect all parts for visible damage.

Caution!

Never operate a damaged appliance!

1. Thoroughly clean and dry all parts before using for the first time.

Inspect the discharge valve before inserting the collecting tray. It must not be blocked by a foreign object.

1. Place the filter insert into the collecting tray and rotate until it clicks into place.
2. Position the pressing cone on the drive shaft.

The citrus press is prepared.

1. Place the glass carafe on the saucer. Note: Always use the saucer. This provides anti-slip protection and noise reduction.
2. Place the prepared citrus press onto the glass carafe until the opening is sealed tight.

Use the citrus press with the glass carafe in order to press larger quantities of juice, such as freshly squeezed orange juice.

Caution!

The juice is collected in the glass carafe. The volume capacity of the glass carafe is 1.0 l. End the pressing procedure before the juice reaches the bottom edge of the motor unit.

1. Position the prepared citrus press with glass carafe on a stable and level work surface.
2. Connect the mains cable to the socket.
3. Position the halved citrus fruits with the cut surface on the pressing cone and press down.

The citrus press starts running once the pressed product is pressed onto the pressing cone. The pressing cone rotates either clockwise or anticlockwise. Once the pressed product is released and pressed once again, the pressing cone changes its rotation direction. If excess pressure is applied, the pressing cone changes the rotation direction in rapid succession. Reduce the pressure until the pressing cone rotates normally once more.

Caution!

Press a maximum of 10 fruits (approx. 2 kg) one after the other. Then halt the pressing procedure until the motor unit has once again reached room temperature. Only then should the pressing procedure be resumed.

Notes:

To obtain the largest amount of juice, the pressing procedure should be repeated a few times. The filter insert with the rough peel and the seeds should be emptied if required. 4. To switch off the appliance, reduce the pressure on the pressing cone. The citrus press switches off automatically. 5. Disconnect the mains cable from the socket. 6. Remove the citrus press from the glass carafe.

The discharge valve closes automatically once the citrus press is removed from the glass carafe.

1. For the purpose of storage, for example in the refrigerator, seal the glass carafe with the lid.
2. To pour out the juice, remove the lid.

Using the citrus press without the glass carafe

Use the citrus press without the glass carafe in order to press smaller quantities of juice, such as lemon juice for use in baking or for seasoning fish.

Caution!

The juice is collected in the collecting tray. The volume capacity of the collecting tray is approx. 100 ml. This corresponds approximately to the juice from 2 medium-sized lemons. End the pressing procedure before the juice reaches the top edge of the collecting tray.

1. Position the prepared citrus press on a stable and level work surface.
2. Connect the mains cable to the socket.
3. Press the citrus fruits as described. → "Using the citrus press with the glass carafe" see page 13
4. Disconnect the mains cable from the socket.
5. Use the juice directly via the spout or pour into a container.

Before cleaning:

Wipe down the motor unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry off.

Accessories

Clean the individual parts with a detergent solution and a soft cloth or sponge.

Note: The glass carafe, lid, saucer, collecting tray, filter insert, both pressing cones and the cover can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Simple troubleshooting

Problem	Cause	Remedy
Juice runs out of the citrus press even though this is being used without the glass carafe.	The discharge valve is blocked by a foreign object.	Stop the pressing procedure immediately. Remove the pressing cone, the filter insert and the collecting tray from the motor unit. Remove the foreign objects from the discharge valve of the collecting tray. Reassemble the citrus press. Resume the pressing procedure.
	The filter insert is full.	Stop the pressing procedure immediately. Remove the pressing cone and the filter insert from the motor unit and clean them. Reassemble the citrus press. Resume the pressing procedure.
The glass carafe overflows during the pressing procedure.	Too many fruits have been pressed.	Stop the pressing procedure immediately. For larger volumes of juice, for example, for fresh orange juice, use the juice extractor with the carafe.

Warning!

The juice collects in the carafe. The volume of the carafe is approximately 1.0 L.

Stop the juice extraction process before the juice level reaches the upper edge of the spout.

1. Place the prepared juice extractor with the carafe on a stable, horizontal work surface.
2. Connect the power cord to the outlet.
3. Press the fruit halves against the cone of the juicer and press down. The fruit halves are pressed onto the cone of the juicer, from which the juice comes out. The cone of the juicer rotates either clockwise or counterclockwise. After pressing and pressing the fruit again on the cone of the juicer, the direction of rotation changes. When pressing hard, the cone of the juicer often changes direction of rotation at short intervals. Reduce the pressing force until the cone of the juicer no longer changes direction, as usual.

Warning!

Do not press more than 10 fruits at a time (approx. 2 kg). After two presses, stop the juice extraction process to allow the motor to cool down. After two presses, continue the juice extraction process.

To ensure optimal juice extraction, the juice extraction process must be repeated several times. If necessary, empty the strainer from the pulp and seeds. 4. Press the lever to lower the cone. The juicer for citrus fruits is activated automatically. 5. Unplug the power cord from the outlet. 6. Remove the citrus juicer from the glass jug.

The valve closes automatically when the citrus juicer is removed from the glass jug.

7. For storage, e.g., cover the glass jug with the lid. 8. Press the lever to lower the cone.

Using the juicer for citrus fruits without the glass jug

To squeeze juice from citrus fruits, e.g., lemons, place the fruit on the cone and press down. Use the juicer without the glass jug.

Attention!

The juice flows into the cup. The volume of the cup is approx. 100 ml. This corresponds to the juice of approx. 3 medium lemons. Stop the extraction process when the juice level reaches the top edge of the cup.

3. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.

Before using the new device, it is necessary to completely unpack, clean, and assemble it. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the motor unit, glass jug, and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material.
3. Check the completeness of all parts. → Figure A/B
4. Check all parts of the device for external damage.

Attention!

It is strictly forbidden to operate a damaged device! 5. Before first use, thoroughly clean and dry all parts. → "Care and cleaning" see page 106

Preparing the juicer with glass jug

1. Insert the collection cup into the motor unit.

Attention!

Before inserting the collection cup, check the outlet valve. It must not be clogged with foreign objects.

1. Insert the strainer filter into the collection cup and turn it until it locks.
2. Install the citrus juicer cone onto the drive shaft.

Warning

Danger of electric shock!

Never turn the citrus juicer cone on the drive shaft by hand. The citrus juicer cone is ready for operation. 4. Place the glass on the supply.

Note: Always use the supply. It prevents slipping and reduces noise.

For extracting large quantities of juice, for example, to obtain fresh orange juice, use the citrus juicer cone with the glass.

Attention!

The juice collects in the glass. The capacity of the glass is approximately 1.0 L. Stop extracting before the juice reaches the lower edge of the motor block.

1. Place the prepared citrus juicer cone with the glass on a stable horizontal surface.
2. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
3. Place the juicer with the cut surface down on the juicer cone. Press down.

As soon as the fruit used for juicing is placed on the juicer cone, the juicer starts to work. The juicer cone rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. After lowering and pressing again, the fruit used for juicing changes the direction of rotation of the juicer cone. By pressing hard, the juicer cone quickly changes direction. Reduce the pressure

so that the juicer cone rotates normally again.

Attention!

Juice sequentially from a maximum of 10 fruits (approximately 2 kg). After this, pause juicing so that the motor block cools down again to room temperature. Only after this continue juicing.

Tips:

To ensure optimal juice yield, repeat juicing several times. If necessary, clean the sieve filter from coarse fruit pulp and seeds. 4. To switch off, reduce the pressure on the juicer cone. The juicer cone stops automatically. 5. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. 6. Remove the juicer cone from the glass jug.

The outlet valve closes automatically after the juicer has been removed from the glass jug.

7. For storage, for example, in the refrigerator, close the glass jug with the lid. 8. For pouring juice, remove the lid.

1. Place the prepared juicer on a stable, horizontal surface.
2. Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet.

4. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. 5. Drink the juice directly from the spout or pour it into any container.
