How to load paper in the 250-sheet tray?

Pull the tray out completely, adjust the width and length guides to the paper size, fan and stack the paper, load it with the printable side up, then insert the tray. Set the paper size and type in the Paper menu on the control panel.

How to clear a paper jam in the duplex printing area?

Open the front door of the printer. Gently remove the jammed paper following the error message instructions. Close the door and the printer will automatically resume printing if reprint is enabled.

How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open the front door, remove the old cartridge by pulling it towards you, take the new cartridge out of its packaging, remove the protective film, insert it until it clicks, then close the door. The printer will perform an initialization.

How to set up the printer on an Ethernet network?

Connect an Ethernet cable between the printer and your router. From the control panel, print a network configuration page to get the IP address. Install the Lexmark software on your computer and follow the instructions for Ethernet connection.

How to set a custom paper size?

From the control panel, go to Paper Menu > General Settings. Choose the measurement units, then set the portrait height and width for your custom size (between 76x127 mm and 215.9x359.9 mm). Save the settings.

Why does the printer display 'Close door' when the door is already closed?

Check that all trays and covers are properly latched. If the message persists, restart the printer by turning it off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it on. If the problem continues, contact Lexmark support.

How to save toner?

Enable Eco mode in the Settings > General Settings > Eco Mode. You can also select 'Black and White Printing' for non-color documents and reduce print density.

How to clean the outside of the printer?

Unplug the power cord and all cables. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth (no solvents) to wipe the exterior surfaces. Never clean the inside with a damp cloth. Consult the manual for internal cleaning.

What types of paper are not recommended?

Avoid carbonless paper, coated paper (unless for laser), envelopes with windows or staples, paper that is too rough, labels not designed for laser, and paper with weight below 60 g/m² or above 176 g/m².

What to do if the Embedded Web Server does not open?

Check that the printer is connected to the network and that you are using the correct IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.100). Temporarily disable the proxy server in your browser settings. If the problem persists, restart the printer and router.
