How to connect my phone via Bluetooth on the AVH-270BT?
Enable Bluetooth on your phone. On the unit, go to the Bluetooth menu via 0 then 8. Touch Connection then Add. Select your phone from the list. If a PIN is requested, the default code is 0000. Automatic connection can be activated in the Bluetooth settings.
Why does the screen display a video warning message?
For safety reasons, video is disabled while driving. Park in a safe place, engage the handbrake, and the message will disappear. Make sure the handbrake wire is properly connected.
How to adjust the equalizer?
Press 0 then Audio. Touch Graphic EQ. Choose a preset curve (S.Bass, Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Flat) or customize by touching the frequencies: 100 Hz, 315 Hz, 1.25 kHz, 3.15 kHz, 8 kHz. Settings are stored in Custom1 and Custom2.
How to watch a video from a USB flash drive?
Connect the USB flash drive to the USB cable connected to the unit. Press SRC and select USB. Compatible video files (MPEG4, DivX) will be displayed. Note that video is only visible when parked with the handbrake engaged.
What to do if the CD does not play?
Check that the disc is inserted with the label facing up. Clean the disc with a soft cloth. Ensure the format is compatible (CD-DA, CD-R/RW). If the problem persists, the disc may be scratched or damaged.
How to make a hands-free call?
Connect your phone via Bluetooth. Press TEL to display the phone menu. Use the keypad to dial a number, or access the phonebook and history. Touch the answer icon to answer and Hang up to end.
How to adjust the screen brightness?
Go to System (button 0 then 1), then Picture Adjustment. Use the sliders for Brightness, Contrast, Color, Tint and Dimmer. Settings differ between daytime and night driving.
How to reset the unit to factory settings?
Park the vehicle, engage the handbrake. Go to System > Restore Settings. Confirm by touching Restore. The sound will be muted and the Bluetooth connection disconnected during the process.
How to listen to the radio and memorize stations?
Select the Radio source. Use keys 1 to 6 for presets. To automatically memorize the 6 strongest stations, touch BSM in the radio settings. You can also adjust the search sensitivity with Local.
My iPod does not connect, what to do?
Use a compatible USB interface cable (CD-IU201V for 30-pin connector, CD-IU52 for Lightning). Connect the iPod via the USB cable. If the iPod is frozen, restart it and reconnect. Update the iPod's software version if necessary.
