d) Before the first use

  • When unpacking your unit, make sure that you carefully remove all of the packaging materials.
  • Clean the appliance and its pans with a damp cloth. Then, dry them thoroughly.

The first time you use the appliance it may give off smoke and a smell caused by the protective grease burning.

Tip: To avoid this, you should heat up the appliance for around 10 minutes before using it to cook food, and ventilate the room.

3) USING YOUR APPLIANCE

a) Functioning

  • To use the raclette grill in 8 people version, connect first the two raclettes grill with the red cord supplied with the appliance.
  • Plug in the unit.
  • Turn on the switch. The indicator will light up.
  • Preheat your units for ten minutes before inserting pans.
  • Put the cheese or other food like onion and bacon in the pans.

Note: Make sure the cheese is not too thick to prevent it from coming into contact with the heating elements.

Put the pans in the unit.
- Remove when the cheese has melted and is lightly browned.

b) After cooking

  • When cooking is over, press the On/Off button. The indicator light turns off.
    Unplug the power cord
  • Wait for the complete cooling of the unit before cleaning or storing.

4) CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
  • Clean the grill plate and the pans with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive detergents, as these could damage the surface of the grill plate and mini pans.
