USER MANUAL SAUNA HARVIA

The customer receives the Harvia sauna in rigid cardboard packages. The wooden parts are usually in one package. The packages are easy to handle and provide good protection for the delivery. The shipment includes clear installation instructions and a list of the contents.

All sauna components are manufactured from tested materials using quality craftmanship. Dimensional accuracy and quality finishes are the result of long experience and high technology.

The sauna parts are prefabricated to the highest possible degree. They are subject to careful inspection before shipment, and the elements are coded to facilitate installation.

Installation is easy and quick. Depending on the size of the sauna and the number of people, it should take 2 to 4 hours. Electrical installations must be left to a professional, but other installation work can also be performed by amateurs. Normal, simple DIY tools are sufficient.

NOTE! Allow a minimum of 50~mm clearance on all sides of the sauna for installation.

The height of all Variant saunas is 2030mm ( + adjustable legs 20 - 40mm ). The minimum room height required for sauna installation is 2150mm .

The frame (A) in the walls and ceiling of Variant saunas is wood, while mineral wool (B) is used as insulation. On the inside between panels and mineral wool aluminium paper (C) is used as vapour barrier. The walls are lined with wooden panel (D) specifically intended for sauna use. The panel has a thickness of 15mm . The inner surface of the ceiling is wood panel (E), and the upper surface is hardboard (F). Corner pieces on the corners of the fascia board are of steel. The adjustable legs (G) under the base frame separate the wood parts from floor. They also make it easier to assemble the sauna horizontally if the floor is not even.

Standard panel material is spruce. Standard interior is Formula. The benches, bench surrounds and backrests are of abachi as standard.

The Variant saunas may be supplemented with one or more windows, if there is enough space

on the outer wall. Any restrictions for windows due to interior elements must also be taken into account.

Walls, ceiling, benches, backrests, bench surrounds, headrests and floor boards are prefabricated. The door is preinstalled in the element at the factory. Assembly instructions and fasteners are included in the delivery.

Wall panel alternatives

Doors

The door frame is an integral part of the element frame.

Frame wood: spruce.
If the sauna exterior is aspen or alder, the frame is also aspen or alder.

The door handle is made of hardwood. The door is delivered with a magnetic lock and the threshold is covered with sheet metal. The hinges are adjustable.

Glass door

Safety glass 8 mm.
Available in bronze, clear and satin. Two figures available for the surface of satin doors.

Double door

Straight or 45^ angle. Safety glass 8mm . Available in bronze and clear. No figures available.

Windows

Windows can be added to all Variant models. The windows must be located at least 110~mm away from the internal corner and approx. 150~mm apart from each other and the door opening. In connection with corner modules and colour lights used in special interiors, the distance between the window and the internal corner must be 400~mm . Windows with a height of 815 and 850~mm can be located near the benches. All windows can be located near the heater (excluding the models S1010, S1212, S1215R/L). The window orientation is always vertical. If adding more than two windows, please consult your salesperson to verify the sufficiency of heater power.

The visible wooden parts are of spruce. If the exterior wall of the sauna is aspen or alder, the wooden parts are also aspen or alder.

EXCLUSIVE/SOLAR

Colour light system

Light fitting part of colour light: to be placed in a corner above the bench. The light fitting part is normally installed in a vertical position. The colour light is controlled by Fenix or Griffin Colour Light control unit.

Soft ventilation

Used in Variant saunas if a Combi heater is selected. The additional valve is preinstalled at the factory but may also be installed later.

Rubic and Variant saunas share the same basic structure. See page 6.

The outer surface of back and side walls is black painted plywood with rectangular panel sheets on it. Alder, aspen or heat-treated wood can be selected as the material for the panel sheets. The outer corners, the base frame and the fascia boards have a stainless steel surface. The control panel of the Griffin control unit is embedded in the steel surface on the corner. The front wall has windows on both sides of the glass door with wooden grates in front of them.

The inside panel material is aspen, alder or heat-treated wood. The sauna features the Futura interior. Abachi, alder, aspen or heat-treated aspen can be selected as the material for the benches, bench surrounds and backrests.

The frame design of the walls and ceiling of Sirius bathroom saunas utilises a water, humidity and thermal insulated panel. The interior walls and ceiling use 15mm thick panelling. The panelling in standard models is made of alder, but aspen or heat-treated wood can also be specified. The front is of clear glass and the frame of the glass is of anodised aluminium.

The saunas feature the Formula interior. The standard models feature alder for the benches, bench surrounds and backrests. However, aspen can also be specified. Futura can also be selected as the interior type. The interior material options will then include aspen, alder, heat-treated aspen or otie.

Adjustable legs under the sauna make it easier to assemble the sauna horizontally if the floor is not even. The ceiling has an exhaust air vent.

The frame design of the walls and ceiling of Capella and Capella Dual bathroom saunas utilises a water, humidity and thermal insulated panel. The interior walls and ceiling use 15mm thick panelling. The front is made of four-part, glass sliding doors; centre sections slide to the sides. The frame of the glass is made of anodised aluminium. The doors have draught-excluding seals and a magnetic edge. The frame of the glass is made of anodised aluminium.

Alder is used for benches, bench surrounds, and backrests of Capella models (SC1409, SC1410). Panelling is made of alder.

Heat-treated aspen is used for benches, bench surrounds, and backrests of CapellaDual models (SC1409D, SC1410D). Panelling is made of heat-treated wood. Wood surfaces have been treated using paraffin oil. Paraffin oil reduces the absorption of moisture and dirt into wood.

CapellaDual models feature a foldable bench equipped with hinges. The bottom of the bench is equipped with a hook for hanging the footstool.

Adjustable legs under the sauna make it easier to assemble the sauna horizontally if the floor is not even. The ceiling has an exhaust air vent.

No electrician needed for electrical connections (voltage 230V1N ). If needed (or required), use a professional plumber for making the water connections to CapellaDual models.

The frame in the walls and ceiling of Rondium infrared cabins is wood. The walls are lined with wooden panel. The panel has a thickness of 15mm . The inner surface of the ceiling is wood panel, and the upper surface is hardboard. The adjustable legs under the base frame separate the wood parts from floor. They also make it easier to assemble the infrared cabin on an uneven floor.

The benches are of aspen and they have decorations made of heat-treated aspen. Backrests are of heat-treated aspen. Lamp is placed under the bench. Radiator elements are integrated into walls.

The inside wall panel material is aspen. Alder, aspen or heat-treated wood can be selected as the outside wall panel material. Decorative stainless steel elements in the outside walls. External soffit with a stainless steel surface and three LED lights on the edge of the roof. Stainless steel surface on the base frame.

The height of all Radiant infrared cabins is 1910mm . The minimum room height required for infrared cabin installation is 2010mm .

The wood material in Radiant infrared cabins is hemlock. The outer surface is dark walnut veneer. Walls, ceiling, floor, benches and backrests are prefabricated. Radiator elements are integrated into walls and benches. The floor is an integral part of the cabin.

The wood material in benches and backrests is hemlock. Bench parts are detachable. A halogen lamp and loudspeakers are integrated into ceiling. Model SGC0909BR has a control panel both on the inside and outside of the cabin, model SGC1210BR on the inside only. The control panel is integrated into wall. A radio/CD player is encased inside the cabin. No electrician needed for electrical connections (voltage 230V1N ).

Assembly instructions and fasteners are included in the delivery.

OUTDOOR SAUNA

The wood material for an outdoor sauna is delivered in one rigid, weather-sealed package. The heater and other supplies are delivered in separate packages. The delivery includes everything from the foundation up.

Spruce wall logs (135 x 45 mm).
Impregnated floor beams.
- Impregnated sauna room and terrace floor boards. Board spacing ca. 8 mm.

Dressing room's floor in model Keitele is made of tongue-and-groove boards.
