The XS Series represents so much more than evolution. Behind their brushed and anodised aluminium fascias, XS Series products embody radical and innovative audio engineering that builds on Naim’s previous slimline X Series to take performance to yet greater heights. The XS Series comprises a CD player, FM tuner, integrated amplifier, preamplifier, power amplifier and power supply, each one refined and polished to offer flawless system matching and matchless performance.

CD5 XS CD Player

The CD5 XS CD player has probably seen the most changes on the journey from its CD5x predecessor. Almost every element, with the exception of the mains transformer and the disc mechanism, is new or significantly revised. Fundamental elements including critical analogue circuitry have been updated to extract yet more music from every CD. Also new in the CD5 XS is the inclusion, for the first time on a Naim CD player, of a transformer-coupled digital output that provides the choice of digital or analogue signal output.

Improving on the award winning CD5x was a tough ask, but through scrutiny and refinement of every last engineering detail, the class-leading Naim CDS XS delivers newly dramatic and vibrant music.

NAT05 XS FM Tuner

Apart from the benchmark and matchless ALPS high performance tuner head, the NAT05 XS tuner is a completely new design. The tuner head is compliantly mounted within the aluminium casework and feeds analogue circuitry that benefits enormously from Naim analogue know-how. FM remains the medium for the highest quality radio transmissions and the NAT05 XS is optimised to exploit FM like no other tuner. And if you want more, the NAT05 XS can be enhanced further through the simple addition of an external FlatCap XS power supply.

NAIT XS Integrated Amplifier

The NAIT XS takes the DNA of our best ever integrated amplifier, the SUPERNAIT, and, like a sports car stripped back to essentials for the track, delivers musical performance that truly inspires. The 60 watts per channel power amplifier section is a dynamic, fast acting musical muscle with an uncanny talent for bringing speakers to life. And the preamplifier section provides all the musical clarity and detail you could wish for. The NAIT XS is versatile thanks to six analogue line inputs on a mix of DIN and phono sockets, a phono preamplifier power supply output, and a front panel mounted auto-switching mini-jack. Like the rest of the XS Series, the NAIT XS is genuine high-end hi-fi brought within reach.

NAC 152 XS Preamplifier

When a separate preamplifier/power amplifier approach is preferred, the NAC 152 XS provides the perfect option. It was conceived around a completely new motherboard design that incorporates advances of both analogue electronics and mechanical decoupling, and its performance is detailed, refined and utterly musical. Versatility is a NAC 152 XS forfe too. Its six analogue inputs all offer DIN or phono connection options and it incorporates a front-mounted, auto-switching input socket for convenient MP3 player use. Power output for a Naim phono preamplifier is also included and a two-stage power supply upgrade regime brings true high-end preamplifier performance easily within reach.

NAP 155 XS Power Amplifier

The NAP 155 XS is the perfect companion to the NAC 152 XS preamplifier in an XS system. It features a very large main transformer – both physically and in terms of its power rating – and at the heart of its power supply uses the same reservoir capacitors as the award-winning SUPERNAIT integrated amplifier. The NAP 155 XS employs similar construction techniques to the NAIT XS integrated amplifier with a castellated heatsink and reduced earth reference routing to deliver enhanced performance and more music. The NAP 155 XS is a power amplifier straight out of the classic Naim mould: fast, detailed, dynamic and single-mindedly musical.

FlatCap XS Power Supply

The FlatCap XS is a dual-rail power supply that, either alone or in pairs, provides the most effective means to extract the ultimate performance from an XS system. One FlatCap XS can be used to enhance the performance of a CD5 XS and a NAT05 XS, while a second could be deployed to supercharge the performance of the NAC 152 XS preamplifier. The vital role played by the power supply in any hi-fi system is a long-held Naim conviction and it has no better demonstration than the increased musical fluency that the FlatCap XS brings to a system.

Integrated System

The CD5 XS, NAT05 XS and NAIT XS deliver the finest CD and radio sound you will experience from a compact system, albeit or that effectively represents the first rung on the ladder towards super-performance separation. The capabilities of this potent trio can easily be enhanced with the addition of a FlatCap X power supply, and extended further by movi-. ing into the separates systems featured below, with the NAP 155 XS power amplifier and NAC 152 XS preamplifier combination.

CD Separates System

Bring together a NAC 152 XS preamplifier, a NAP 155 XS power amplifier and a CD5 XS CD player for a stunning CD replay system. Make it ever better with a FlatCap XS powering the CD player and the preamplifier.

Tuner Separates System

A NAT05 XS with a NAC 152 XS and NAP 155 XS is the ultimate FM radio. Add a FlatCap XS for the preamplifier and the tuner, and radio has never sounded better.

Complete Separates System

The complete XS system of CD5 XS and NAT05 XS, NAC 152 XS and NAP 155 XS defines brilliant music making. Adding a single FlatCap XS, which can power one or two components, upgrades the internal power supplies of the CD player, the tuner or the preamplifier, making your system shine even brighter. The system's performance can be further enhanced with the addition of a second or even a third FlatCap XS, each powering one component.
