Can the fan be mounted on a wall?
Yes, for models from the HT-800, HT-900, HFT-114B/HFT-114BC and HFT-311B/HFT-311BC series. Attach two screws (not included) into a wall stud, leaving about 10 mm protruding, then hang the fan. Avoid oscillation in wall mode for the HFT-114B/HFT-114BC series.
How to activate oscillation?
On models with oscillation (HFT-114B and HFT-314 series), press the oscillation button located under the fan head to activate or deactivate it.
Can I adjust the fan speed?
Yes, turn the speed control knob to one of three positions: High (III), Medium (II) or Low (I). On some models, a child safety switch is present: press and turn.
What to do if the plug does not insert fully into the outlet?
The plug is polarized. Try reversing it. If it still does not insert, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to bypass this safety feature.
How to disassemble the front grille for thorough cleaning?
Turn off and unplug the fan. Place it face down on a table. Unscrew the screws located at the back of the head with a Phillips screwdriver. The screws remain attached to the housing to prevent loss. Lift the rear housing to separate the front grille.
What to do in case of malfunction?
First contact KAZ customer service at 1-800-477-0457 or visit www.kaz.com. Do not return the appliance to the store. Do not open the motor housing yourself; this will void the warranty.
Can this fan be used outdoors?
No, this fan is designed for household use only and should not be used outdoors, or in a commercial or industrial environment.
What is the warranty for the HT-8002 fan?
Kaz offers a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage due to misuse or unauthorized repairs. For repair, return the product with proof of purchase and a fee of $10 US or $15.50 CAN.
How can I reduce my electricity bill with this fan?
Use the fan to circulate air: in summer, create a breeze from the window or air conditioner; in winter, place it on the floor at low speed to push warm air from the ceiling down into the room. This allows you to set heating or cooling systems to a more economical temperature.
