What to do if the screen does not turn on?
Check that the power cord is plugged in and the main switch is on. Press the power button. If the indicator light is orange, the monitor is in power saving mode: use the mouse or keyboard. If the indicator light flashes orange, the DisplayPort device may be faulty: turn the monitor off and on again.
How to adjust brightness and color?
Use the Mode button to select a FineContrast mode (Custom, sRGB, EMU or CAL). In Custom mode, press Enter to access the menu and adjust Brightness, Temperature, Gamma, Saturation, Hue and Gain. Allow the screen to warm up for at least 30 minutes before making any adjustments.
Why is the displayed image too small or too large?
This is due to a resolution mismatch. Use the Resolution function in the Screen menu to adjust the displayed resolution to the input resolution. Make sure your PC resolution is set to 1920×1200 (recommended).
How to clean the screen without damaging it?
Use a soft cloth (gauze, cotton or optical paper). For stains, lightly dampen the cloth with water or use the supplied ScreenCleaner. Never use thinner, benzene, alcohol or abrasive products. Do not spray directly on the screen.
Can I use the monitor in portrait mode?
Yes, the monitor can be rotated 90° to the right. To do this, set the menu orientation in Other Functions > Orientation to Portrait. Note: your video card must support portrait mode.
How to save energy with this monitor?
Enable PowerManager mode in the PowerManager menu (set to On). The monitor will go into standby (orange light) after computer inactivity. You can also use the Off timer function for a programmed automatic standby (1 to 23 hours).
What to do if vertical bars appear on the screen?
This indicates a clock setting problem (analog input). Use the Clock function in the Screen menu to eliminate the bars. First perform an automatic adjustment with the Auto button (analog input only).
How to calibrate the monitor for color accuracy?
Use the ColorNavigator software provided on the CD-ROM. Connect a USB cable between the PC and the monitor (upstream port). The software can generate ICC profiles (Windows) or ColorSync profiles (Mac). The EMU and CAL modes are dedicated to calibration.
Can I connect two computers at the same time?
Yes, thanks to the DVI-I connector and the DisplayPort connector. Use the Input signal selection button to switch between signals. In the Other Functions > Input Signal menu, choose Auto for automatic switching or Manual for manual selection.
What to do in case of image retention (ghost image)?
Image retention is normal on LCDs after prolonged static display. Use a screen saver or put the monitor to sleep. If marks persist, display a white or black screen for a few minutes to clear them.
