Frequently Asked Questions - 4J27 ANALOG QUARTZ SEIKO

How to set the time on my SEIKO 4J27 watch?
Pull the crown to position 2 (click). Turn it in the desired direction to advance or reverse the hands. Push the crown back to the initial position (pushed) to start the watch.
My watch stops, what should I do?
The battery is probably dead. Replace the battery (type SR920SW) by a professional watchmaker. Do not open the case yourself.
Can I wear my watch in the shower?
The 3 bar (30 m) water resistance allows splash resistance, but it is not recommended to wear it in the shower or while swimming.
How to change the strap on my SEIKO watch?
Use a strap changing tool or a fine screwdriver to remove the spring bars. Insert the new spring bars into the case holes. If necessary, consult a watchmaker.
The watch is losing or gaining time, is this normal?
A variation of a few seconds per day is normal for a quartz movement. If the difference is significant, the watch may require adjustment by a watchmaker.
How to clean my SEIKO watch?
Use a soft dry cloth. For leather straps, avoid water. For metal straps, gentle cleaning with a damp cloth is possible, then dry thoroughly.
What to do if the second hand does not move?
Check that the crown is fully pushed in. If it is in the pulled position, the second hand may be stopped. If the problem persists, the battery may be drained or the movement damaged.
Is the watch antimagnetic?
Standard quartz watches are not specially antimagnetic. Avoid exposure to strong magnetic fields (magnets, speakers) as they can affect accuracy.
Where to find the full manual for the 4J27 watch?
You can download the manual in PDF format on our site notice-facile.com, or request a printed version from your dealer.
How to maintain my SEIKO watch in the long term?
Have the water resistance checked and the battery replaced every 2-3 years. Regularly clean the case and strap. Avoid shocks and extreme temperatures.
