How to set up the LaCie Big Disk Network?

Connect the power supply and Ethernet cable to your router. Turn on the device. Use the LaCie Network Assistant (provided on the CD) to detect the drive on the network and configure settings via the web interface.

The NAS is compatible with Windows (2000, XP, Vista), Mac OS (10.2 or higher), and Linux (2.4 or higher). SMB and AFP protocols ensure cross-platform compatibility.

How to perform automatic backup?

Connect an external hard drive to the USB port of the NAS. Use the 1-click button on the front to launch an immediate backup. To automate, schedule a backup via the web interface.

Can I stream videos to my TV?

Yes, the Big Disk Network is compatible with UPnP A/V and DLNA. You can stream your media to a TV, PS3, or Xbox without turning on your PC.

How to access my files remotely?

The NAS supports FTP, HTTP, and HTTPS protocols. Enable remote access in the web interface and use an FTP client or browser to connect.

What to do in case of hard drive failure?

Since the NAS is not RAID, back up your data regularly. In case of failure, contact LaCie customer service. Make sure you have an external backup.
