How to install the OMRON A22S rotary switch?

Drill a 22 mm hole (or 25 mm with adapter ring) in the panel. Insert the selector, fasten it with the supplied nut, then connect the lugs to the switch terminals.

What supply voltages are available for illuminated models?

LED models without reducer accept 6, 12 or 24 VAC/VDC. Models with reducer accept 110 VAC (code T1) or 220 VAC (code T2). Incandescent lamps operate at 5, 12 or 24 VAC/VDC.

What types of contacts are offered?

The available contacts are: SPST-NO (single-pole normally open), SPST-NC (single-pole normally closed), SPST-NO+SPST-NC, DPST-NO (double-pole normally open) and DPST-NC (double-pole normally closed).

What is the difference between 2 and 3 detent models?

The 2 detent models have two positions (e.g., Stop/Run). The 3 detent models have three positions (e.g., Stop/Speed 1/Speed 2). The number of detents affects the number of switched contacts.

How to choose the selector color?

For non-illuminated versions, the selector is black. For illuminated versions, you can choose from red, yellow, green or blue by inserting the corresponding letter (R, Y, G, A) into the model number.

Is the switch compatible with fork terminals?

Yes, it accepts both open (fork) and closed (ring) terminals for wiring.

What is the protection rating of the switch?

Non-illuminated models offer IP65 protection against dust and water jets, with oil resistance. Illuminated models are also IP65.

Can I order parts separately?

Yes, the selector, lamp, and switch (contact block) are available individually for maintenance or specific combinations.

How does automatic reset work?

On automatic models, the selector returns to its initial position (e.g., center position) when released. This is useful for momentary functions.
