Frequently Asked Questions - AHG560BK AIRLUX
How to install the AIRLUX AHG560BK hood?
To install the hood, measure the height between the cooktop and the bottom of the hood. The duct diameter must be 150 mm in extraction mode. Securely mount the hood to the wall using the provided dowels. Connect the air exhaust to the outside or install a charcoal filter for recirculation.
What is the recommended installation height?
The distance between the cooking surface and the hood should be between 65 and 75 cm for an electric cooktop, and between 70 and 80 cm for a gas cooktop. This ensures optimal extraction and avoids overheating risks.
How to change the charcoal filter?
First remove the grease filters. Clip the charcoal filter onto each side of the motor. The filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on usage. Then put the grease filters back.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminium grease filters can be cleaned by hand with hot water and detergent, or in the dishwasher at a low temperature. Let them dry before reinstalling. Regular cleaning extends the motor's lifespan.
Why is the hood noisy?
The noise can come from a dirty grease filter, an obstructed exhaust duct, or an unstable installation. Clean the filters and check that the duct is not blocked. A maximum noise level of 65 dB(A) is normal for a high-power hood.
How to turn on the lighting and adjust the speed?
Use the push buttons located on the front. The light button activates the LED lighting. The other buttons select the 3 speeds. Turn off the hood after use.
Can the hood operate in recirculation mode?
Yes, the hood can be used in recirculation mode with an active charcoal kit (not supplied). In this case, the filtered air is returned to the room. The exhaust duct is not required.
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
First check that the hood is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Make sure the filters are correctly positioned, as some models have a safety switch. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
What maintenance is required regularly?
Clean the grease filters every month and replace the charcoal filter every 3 to 6 months. Wipe the external surfaces with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive detergent. Check the condition of the exhaust duct.
Where to find spare parts?
The spare parts such as filters, LED lighting, motor and control buttons are available from AIRLUX after-sales service or on specialised websites. Use the model number AHG560BK to identify the exact part.
