Frequently Asked Questions - EFC39K ELECTROLUX
How to install the EFC39K range hood?
Before installation, check that the location is suitable and that the exhaust duct diameter is correct. Fix the hood to the wall using the provided plugs, respecting the minimum safety distances. For recirculation mode installation, also install the activated carbon filter. Refer to the included installation manual.
How to clean the grease filters?
Unclip the aluminium grease filters and wash them by hand with hot water and detergent, or in the dishwasher at a low temperature. Reinstall them once dry. Regular monthly cleaning maintains the hood's performance and prevents fire hazards.
How to replace the lighting bulb?
Turn off the hood and cut off the power supply. Remove the diffuser or the defective bulb by turning it. Replace with an identical bulb of LED 2 W type. Put the diffuser back and restore power.
The hood is making noise, what should I do?
Abnormal noise may be due to dirty filters, an obstructed duct, or an unstable installation. Clean the filters, check that the exhaust duct is clear, and tighten the wall mountings. If the noise persists, contact after-sales service.
How to activate recirculation mode?
For recirculation operation, the air is filtered by an activated carbon filter before being returned to the room. Install the carbon filter (not supplied) on the motor, then check that the outlet flap is closed. Extraction mode does not require any carbon filter.
What is the maximum room size for this model?
The EFC39K hood is suitable for rooms of up to approximately 20 m², with an airflow of 600 m³/h. For optimal efficiency, maintain a distance of 65 to 75 cm between the cooking surface and the hood.
How to adjust the motor speed?
Use the push buttons on the front. The first button activates minimum speed, the second medium speed, the third maximum speed. Press the stop button to turn off the motor. Maximum speed is recommended for heavy steam emissions.
The remote control does not work, what should I do?
Check that the batteries are correctly inserted and not discharged. Point the remote control at the hood's receiver without any obstacles. If the problem persists, reset the hood by turning off the power for 10 minutes. Contact support if nothing works.
How to maintain the exterior of the hood?
Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water. Avoid abrasive products that scratch stainless steel. Dry with a clean cloth. For stubborn stains, use a special stainless steel cleaner.
Where to find spare parts for this hood?
Spare parts (filters, bulbs, motor) are available from Electrolux customer service or on the official website. Indicate the model EFC39K to order the appropriate part. The legal warranty also covers certain breakdowns.
