Frequently Asked Questions - HT-WEDGE-100AP Hillvert

How to install the HT-WEDGE-100AP grow light?
To install the lamp, securely fix the housing to a support using cable ties or mounting elements, respecting a minimum distance of 10 cm from each wall. Then connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet (class I). Remove the protective film before first use. The device is then ready to operate.
What is the ideal distance between the lamp and the plants?
The optimal distance depends on the growth stage and the type of plant. The manual indicates a PPFD value of 903 µmol/m²/s at 30 cm. To avoid light stress, suspend the lamp about 30 to 50 cm above the foliage, then adjust according to the plants' reactions.
Can I use this lamp in a humid room such as a greenhouse?
The lamp has an IP20 protection rating, which means it is not protected against water. The maximum recommended ambient humidity is 95% RH, but there must be no direct condensation or water splashes. It is forbidden to use sprinklers or watering systems nearby during operation. For a very humid greenhouse, provide ventilation or a shelter.
How to clean the lamp safely?
Before any cleaning, unplug the lamp and let it cool down. Use a soft cloth or a slightly damp sponge without caustic products or solvents. Never immerse the lamp in water and avoid metallic or abrasive objects that could scratch the surface.
What is the lifespan of this lamp?
The integrated LEDs have an advertised lifespan of 50,000 hours. This performance is valid under the recommended temperature (-20 °C to +40 °C) and humidity conditions. Prolonged lighting and poor ventilation can reduce this lifespan.
What to do if the lamp does not turn on?
First, check that the plug is properly connected and that the power cable is not damaged. Make sure the switch is in the on position. If the problem persists, do not attempt any repair yourself: contact the manufacturer's after-sales service for diagnosis and repair by a qualified technician.
Can this lamp be used to light a living room?
No, this lamp is designed only as a light source to stimulate plant growth. It emits a blue-pink spectrum that is not suitable for domestic lighting and can be unpleasant for the eyes. It must not be used to illuminate living spaces.
Is the lamp compatible with a standard outlet?
Yes, it operates at a voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz, compatible with standard electrical outlets in Europe. It requires an earth connection because it is protection class I. Use only a grounded outlet.
How to replace the LEDs if they fail?
The LEDs are not user-replaceable parts. The manual states that the product can only be repaired by the manufacturer's after-sales service, with original spare parts. Never disassemble the lamp yourself, as this would void the warranty and pose an electrical risk.
Should I wear protective glasses when using it?
Yes, it is strongly recommended to wear appropriate protective glasses when the lamp is on. The warning symbol in the instructions indicates the obligation of eye protection. Never look directly at the emitted light, even briefly.
