- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years old and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep this appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or appropriate instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

- This symbol means "Caution: hot surface". The accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself.
- WARNING: do not remove the cover while the water is boiling.

- Avoid touching the hot surfaces of the kettle and let it cool
down for a few minutes after use. Grab it by the handle. The kettle surfaces are likely to be hot during use.
- To prevent possible injury caused by steam, do not face the spout when operating the kettle.
- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is earthed.
- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
- Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not touch the water!
- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be repaired by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any type of danger.
- Do not carry or pull the appliance from the power cable. Do not use the power cable as handle. Do not push the cable against corners or sharp edges. Do not crush the power cable with the full weight of the appliance. Keep the cable away from hot surfaces.
- Do not operate the appliance if its cable, plug, or body show visible damage, do not operate properly, or have been dropped.
- Do not use the appliance in confined spaces with explosive or flammable vapours.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Unplug it from the power supply when you finish using it and before leaving the room.

Always turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use, before moving it to a new location, and before assembling or disassembling it. To avoid tripping hazards, wind the cable safely.

- Take extreme precaution when moving the kettle containing hot water. Never lift the kettle by its cover. Always use the handle.
- Never switch on your kettle when empty.
- Do not use the base unit for other purposes.
- To avoid scalding, do not open the cover during the boiling process or immediately after.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION
Basic instructions for using the kettle
- The refilled water level must be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
- Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
- Close the cover and make sure it is securely closed.
- The base and exterior of the kettle must not get wet.
- The body of the appliance must fit the base.
- Do not open the cover when pouring.
- Be careful when opening the cover to avoid splashing condensed water on the it.
Using the kettle for the first time
NOTE: before using the kettle for the first time, fill it with water and boil it twice. Do not add any other product.
- Fill the kettle with water, but do not exceed the MAX mark. Please consider the water level indicator.
- Place the kettle on the base.
- Electrical connections
- Check if the voltage you are going to use is the same as that of the kettle. Further information can be found on the label on the base of the kettle.
- Only connect the appliance to a correctly installed 220-240 V\~ 50-60 Hz power socket.
- Start the kettle by pressing the switch on top of the handle. The indicator light will light up indicating that the water is heating up.
- After the water has boiled, the appliance will automatically switch off.
- If you want to keep the water hot, press the button on the body. An indicator light will light up indicating that the function is active.
NOTE: disconnect it from the mains.
NOTE: do not touch or pick up the appliance after use by any part other than the handle, since the kettle reaches high temperatures and can be dangerous.
Keep Warm function
- The appliance has a function to keep the water warm. This function is activated by pressing the button on the body of the kettle. When this function is activated, the appliance uses approximately 5% of the total electrical power of the appliance to keep the water hot. When this function is active, the button will light up.
- The temperature achieved with this function is around 96 °C. Please note that if you start from room temperature the appliance will take a long time to reach 96 °C. Use the normal heating function to reach boiling temperature in less time. Then, you can keep the water warm by pressing the button.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning the kettle, unplug it and allow it to cool down.
- Clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp sponge or cloth.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal brushes or any other object that may scratch the surface.
- When you notice limescale deposits on the base of the kettle, descale the kettle using a recommended descaler according to the manufacturer's instructions.
