Safety information

- Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package.

- To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or moisture.

- Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.

- If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.

- Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your dealer immediately.

- Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.

- The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.

- Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard.

- Provide an earthing connection before the mains plug is connected to the mains. And, when disconnecting the earthing connection, be sure to disconnect after pulling out the mains plug from the mains.

• Please confirm the distribution system in building installation shall provide the circuit breaker rated 120/240V, 20A (maximum).
• If provided with a 3-pin attachment plug on the power cord, plug the cord into a grounded (earthed) 3-pin outlet. Do not disable the power cord grounding pin, for example, by attaching a 2-pin adapter. The grounding pin is an important safety feature.

WARNING

Usage of other than specified head- or earphones can result in hearing loss due to excessive sound pressures.

Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. Adjustment of the equalizer to maximum increases the earphones and headphones output voltage and therefore the sound pressure level.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.

Prevent Tipping

When using the display, fasten the LCD to a wall using a cord or chain that can support the weight of the monitor in order to prevent the monitor from falling.

- Display design may differ from those illustrated.

- Installing must be done by a qualified technician, and please contact your supplier for more information.

- For the Models with net weight >=7kg. Please select the suitable way to Prevent Tipping.

- Please use the method above to tie the cord or chain to the stand and then fix it to the wall.

Care & Cleaning

• Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
• Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.

This symbol of the crossed out wheeled bin indicates that the product (electrical, electronic equipment, and mercury-containing button cell battery) should not be placed in municipal waste. Please check local regulations for disposal of electronic products.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:

• The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the flicker disappears.
• You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
• When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
• When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor

To assemble the monitor:

- While assembling the monitor arm/base, we recommend that you keep the monitor inside its EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) packaging.

1. Take out all accessories from the EPS.
2. Align and install the stand to its compartment on the rear of the monitor.

3. Align and install the base to the stand. Then fix the base to the stand by fastening the bundled screw.

4. Remove the monitor from the bottom EPS.

- Please do not hold the panel. We recommend to hold the monitor stand to pick up monitor.

- Base screw size: M6 x 15 mm

*Adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.

1.5.1 Using the Controls button

Use the control button on the back of the monitor to adjust the monitor settings.

- Neo proximity sensor: Measure the distance between the user and monitor.

- When the OSD menu is ON, press to exit the OSD menu.

1. Power Button:

- Press this button to turn the monitor off. Press any key to turn on the monitor.

- To change the hotkey function, go to the MyFavorite >Shortcut menu.

1.5.2 GameVisual Function

The GameVisual function helps you select among different picture modes in a convenient way.

To activate GameVisual:

1. Press the GameVisual hotkey. By default, the button up is set as GameVisual hotkey.

To change the hotkey function, go to the MyFavorite > Shortcut menu.

1. Move the button up/down to select among different modes.

2. Scenery Mode: This is the best choice for scenery photo or movie displaying with GameVisual™ Video intelligence Technology.

3. Racing Mode: This is the best choice for racing game playing with GameVisual™ Video intelligence Technology and for document editing. In this mode is applied reduced input lag (by pass FRC).
4. Cinema Mode: This is the best choice for generic movie watching and movie watching with GameVisual™ Video intelligence Technology.
5. RTS/RPG Mode: This is the best choice for generic game playing and Real-Time Strategy (RTS)/ Role-Playing Game (RPG) playing with GameVisual™ Video intelligence Technology.
6. FPS Mode: This is the best choice for dark scenery game playing, movie watching, and First Person Shooter game playing with GameVisual™ Video intelligence Technology.
7. sRGB Cal Mode: This is the best choice for viewing photos and graphics from PCs.
8. MOBA Mode: This is the best choice for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games playing with GameVisual™ Video intelligence Technology.
9. Night Vision: This is the best choice for dark scenery playing with GameVisuall™ Video intelligence Technology.
10. User Mode: More items are adjustable in the Color menu.

• In the sRGB Cal Mode, the Contrast and Color functions are not user-configurable.
• In the MOBA Mode, the Saturation, VividPixel and Six-axis Saturation functions are not user-configurable.

2.1 Adjusting the monitor

• Peel off the protective film from the screen using the tear tab.
• For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
• Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle.
• Adjust the monitor follow the pictures for the most comfortable viewing for you.

It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing angle.

2.3 Detaching the arm/stand (for VESA wall mount)

• We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent damage to the monitor.

The detachable stand of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall mount.

To detach the arm/stand

1. Press the release button to detach the stand from the monitor.
2. Then remove the stand.
3. Install VESA wall mount kit if you need to use VESA wall mount.
4. Then install the monitor to the wall mount.

• The VESA wall mount kit (100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately.
• Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 12 kg (Screw size: M4 x 10 mm).

3.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) menu

3.1.1 How to reconfigure

1. Press the MENU button to activate the OSD menu.
2. Press the and buttons to toggle between options in the menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted.
3. To select the highlighted item on the menu press the center key.
4. Press the and buttons to select the desired parameter.
5. Press the center key to enter the slide bar and then use the or buttons, according to the indicators on the menu, to make your changes.
6. Press the ◀/▶ to move left / right menu.

3.1.2 OSD Function Introduction

1. Gaming

Configure your gaming preferences.

- Variable Refresh Rate: Allow an Adaptive-Sync supported graphics source to dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame rates for power efficient, virtually stutter free and low-latency display update.

- Variable Refresh Rate can only be activated within 48Hz\~240Hz for both HDMI and DisplayPort sources.

- The following functions will be disabled when Variable Refresh Rate is turned on:

- ELMB

- ELMB: Check to decrease motion blur and minimize ghosting part when on-screen objects are fast moving. ELMB is enabled if input V frequency is 120Hz.

• To activate ELMB, turn off Variable Refresh Rate function first.

• ELMB works on vertical frequency 120Hz only.

• The following functions will be disabled when ELMB is turned on:

• Variable Refresh Rate
• Uniform brightness
• Aspect Control
• Blue Light Filter
• HDR Setting
• Sniper

- GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games. Particularly, Crosshair function is specially designed for new gamers or beginners interested in First Person Shooter (FPS) games.

To active GamePlus:

• Press GamePlus Button to enter the GamePlus main menu.
• Activate FPS Counter, Crosshair, Sniper, Timer, Stopwatch or Display Alignment function.
• Move the ( ) button up/down to select and press ( ) to confirm the function needed. Press ✗ to go off, and exit.
• Crosshair/Timer/Stopwatch/FPS Counter is movable by pressing 📄-way key.

ASUS DisplayWidget Center is an app that allows you to tweak monitor settings with a mouse instead of using the buttons on the monitor. The app saves monitor settings and also provides system notifications and facilitates automatic updates.

2. Image

Configure the image settings.

• Brightness: Adjust the brightness level.
• Uniform Brightness: With the feature enabled, the system will not adjust the maximum brightness of the screen when the screen is displayed in a different screen size.
• Contrast: Adjust the contrast level.
• OLED Anti-Flicker: Designed to enhance your viewing experience by stabilizing the refresh rate within a specified range.

• OLED Anti-Flicker only supports in the limited refresh rate.
- This function is only available when the input source is DisplayPort.

- HDR Setting: Set the HDR mode to Gaming HDR, Cinema HDR, Console HDR, Adjustable HDR. The HDR brightness can be adjusted when the Brightness Adjustable function is enabled.

• When displaying HDR content, the following functions are not available: GameVisual, Shadow Boost, Brightness, Contrast, Aspect Control, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., Gamma, Saturation.

• The following functions will be disabled when HDR is turned on:

• ELMB

• Sniper
• GameVisual
• Shadow Boost
• Brightness
• Uniform Brightness
• Contrast
• Blue Light Filter
• Color Temp.
• Saturation
• Six-Saturation
• Gamma
• Power Saving

- HDR PQ curve will be affected when the brightness adjustment is ON under HDR mode.

- Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to 16:9 or Square to enjoy different gaming scenario.

• Select Square to display the picture according to the original aspect ratio of the input source.
• The following functions will be disabled when Aspect Control is turned on:

- ELMB

- Blue Light Filter: Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from OLED.

• OFF: No change.
• Level 1\~4: The higher the level, the less blue light is scattered. When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Racing Mode will be automatically imported. Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is userconfigurable. Level 4 is optimized setting. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.

- When the user adjusts blue light filter bar to maximum level.

Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strain:

- Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break.

- To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.

- Eye exercises can help to reduce eye strain. Repeat these exercises often. If eye strain continues please consult a physician. Eye exercises: (1) Repeating look up and down (2) Slowly roll your eyes (3) Move your eyes diagonal.

- High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoiding CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

- VividPixel: Enhance the outline of the displayed picture and generates high-quality images on screen.

3. Color

Select the image color you like from this function.

• Display Color Space: Contains three preset color modes sRGB, DCI-P3, and Wide Gamut Mode.
  • Color Temp.: Contains seven preset color modes (4000K, 5000K, 6500K, 7500K, 8200K, 9300K, 10000K) and User Mode.
  • Saturation: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
• Six-axis Saturation: Set R/G/B/C/M/Y saturation. The range is from 0 to 100.
• Gamma: Contains five gamma modes including 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6.

- In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 \~ 100.

4. OLED Care

Configure the screen protection related settings.

- Screen Saver: Enable/Disable the screen saver function. The screen brightness will automatically decrease when there is no change on the screen.

- Pixel Cleaning: It calibrates any issues that may arise on the screen when your monitor has been turned on for a long time. The process will take approximately 6 minutes. This function will automatically activate when the monitor is turn off. Do not unplug the power cord while it is in progress. If you power on the monitor, the Pixel Cleaning will stop operating.

- Pixel Cleaning Reminder: Set a reminder for user to perform the Pixel Cleaning.

The screen may have mura and image sticking due to OLED characteristic during the initial use or re-used after a long time. It is advised to perform Pixel Cleaning while turning on monitor to make sure situation disappear.

- Screen Move: Select the screen movement level to prevent image sticking on the display panel.

- Auto Logo Brightness: Enable this function to allow the system to automatically adjust the logo brightness to correct the potential picture quality issues.

- Neo Proximity Sensor: If the function is enabled and the system does not detect the presence of object within 60 cm – 120 cm (depending on your selection) over the present time, the monitor will apply Screen-off.

Screen off time can be set as 5 minute, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes.

- Tailored mode: Allows users to customize the Neo Proximity Sensor detection distance. It is recommended to set the distance within 120cm. After a set period of time, the monitor will apply Screen-off.

• The angle and placement of the monitor sensor might affect the signal detection results.
• Before using the sensor, make sure the sensor window is clean and free of dirt, and ensure that no objects are covering the sensor window.

- OLED Usage Info: Record the number of times the Pixel Cleaning has been performed and displays the Pixel Cleaning interval information.

5. Input Select

Select your desired input source and toggle the Auto Input Detection function between on and off. The monitor input source will not automatically switch when the Auto Input Detection function is disabled.

6. MyFavorite

Assign a function to the shortcut button, save the current system configurations, or restore the system configuration.

• Shortcut: User can select from "GamePlus, GameVisual, Brightness, Mute, Shadow Boost, Contrast, Input Select, HDR Setting, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., Volume (Earphone Out), Pixel Cleaning, Customized Setting-1, Customized Setting-2 and set as shortcut key.
• Customized Setting: Load/Save all settings on the monitor.

7. System Setup

Adjusts the system configuration.

• Language: Select OSD language. The selections are: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Poland, Czech, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Turkey, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Indonesian, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

- Sound: Configure the sound related settings.

• Volume (Earphone Out): Adjust the volume level.
- Mute: Enable/Disable the mute function.

• Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.
  • Power Key Lock: To disable / enable power key
  • Key Lock: Disable all key functions. Pressing the down button for more than five seconds to disable key lock function.
• Power Setting: Use to select Performance Mode or Power Saving Mode.

• Please turn off HDR function before activating the Power saving mode.
• In order to comply with regulatory power consumption standards, the Power saving mode is designed to be the most energy-efficient setting. However, this may cause some inconvenience during use. It is recommended to adjust the settings under the Performance mode to better suit your personal preferences.

- OSD Setup: Configure the OSD menu related settings.

• OSD Position: Set the OSD menu position.
• OSD Timeout: Adjust the OSD timeout.
• Transparency: Adjust the OSD background from opaque to transparent.
• DDC/CI: Enable/Disable the DDC/CI function.

- DisplayPort Stream: Select DisplayPort 1.2 if your graphics card is not compatible with DisplayPort 1.4.

- DSC Support: Enable/Disable the DSC (Display Stream Compression) function.

- To ensure proper display, the color depth, resolution, or color format may be automatically adjusted when the DSC (Display Stream Compression) function is turned off.

- ASUS Power Sync: Enables or disables the ASUS Power Sync function. To activate this function, please enable this function of the monitor via HDMI port.

- When Auto Input Detection is enabled, the monitor won't switch to DC OFF once the source device is turned off.

3.3 Troubleshooting (FAQ)

Power LED is not ON	Press the button to check if the monitor is in the ON mode.Check if the power cord is properly connected to the monitor and the power outlet.Check Power Indicator function in main menu OSD. Select “ON” to turn on power LED.
