Safety information

- Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package.

- To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or moisture.

- Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.

- If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.

- Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your dealer immediately.

- Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.

- The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.

- Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard.

- Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can result in fire or electric shock.

- Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a stable surface.

- Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power surges.

- Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the monitor cabinet.

- To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between 100 \~ 240V AC.

- The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible

- If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a qualified servicer.

- Provide an earthing connection before the mains plug is connected to the mains. And, when disconnecting the earthing connection, be sure to disconnect after pulling out the mains plug from the mains.

• Please confirm the distribution system in building installation shall provide the circuit breaker rated 120/240V, 20A (maximum).
• If provided with a 3-pin attachment plug on the power cord, plug the cord into a grounded (earthed) 3-pin outlet. Do not disable the power cord grounding pin, for example, by attaching a 2-pin adapter. The grounding pin is an important safety feature.

WARNING

Usage of other than specified head- or earphones can result in hearing loss due to excessive sound pressures.

Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. Adjustment of the equalizer to maximum increases the earphones and headphones output voltage and therefore the sound pressure level.

Prevent Tipping

When using the display, fasten the OLED panel to a wall using a cord or chain that can support the weight of the monitor in order to prevent the monitor from falling.

- Display design may differ from those illustrated.

- Installing must be done by a qualified technician, and please contact your supplier for more information.

- For the Models with net weight >=7kg. Please select the suitable way to Prevent Tipping.

- Please use the method above to tie the cord or chain to the stand and then fix it to the wall.

Care & Cleaning

• Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
• Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
• Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.

This symbol of the crossed out wheeled bin indicates that the product (electrical, electronic equipment, and mercury-containing button cell battery) should not be placed in municipal waste. Please check local regulations for disposal of electronic products.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:

• The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the flicker disappears.
• You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
• When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
• When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor

To assemble the monitor:

- While assembling the monitor arm/base, we recommend that you keep the monitor inside its EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) packaging.

1. Take out all accessories from the EPS.
2. Align and install the stand to its compartment on the rear of the monitor.

3. Align and install the base to the stand. Then fix the base to the stand by fastening the bundled screw.

4. Remove the monitor from the bottom EPS.

• Please do not hold the panel. We recommend hold the monitor stand to pick up monitor.
• Base screw size: M6 x 15 mm

2.1 Adjusting the monitor

• Peel off the protective film from the screen using the tear tab.
• For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
• Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle.
• Adjust the monitor follow the pictures for the most comfortable viewing for you.

It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing angle.

To detach the arm/stand

2. Then remove the stand.
3. Install VESA wall mount kit if you need to use VESA wall mount.

Why doesn't the extended screen restore after turning off the device with the remote control's power key?

- A short press of the power key puts the device into standby mode, while pressing and holding the power key turns the device off.

The remote control is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries To install or replace batteries:

1. Press and then slide the cover to open it.

2. Align the batteries according to the (+) and (−) indications inside the battery compartment.

3. Replace the cover.

The incorrect use of batteries can result in leaks or bursting. Be sure to follow these instructions:

• Place "AAA" batteries matching the (+) and (−) signs on each battery to the (+) and (−) signs of the battery compartment.
• Do not mix battery types.
• Do not combine new batteries with used ones. It causes shorter life or leakage of batteries.

When the input icon becomes dark, it means that the input source is not connected; conversely, when the signal becomes brighter, it means that there is an input signal source. Users can also click on icons to switch signal sources.

3.4 Miracast

Wireless screen mirroring from a mobile phone:

• Please log into your Google account before using Miracast.
• Miracast can be found in Google launcher.

3.5 MultiView

1. Spec

The Main and Sub cannot select the same signal source at the same time.

2. Operation steps

Step 1. Open the Shortcut Menu and select the Multi-View icon to enable Multi-View.

3.7 Letterbox Wallpaper

1. Feature Description

The Letterbox Wallpaper function allows users to set a custom letterbox wallpaper as the default background for the Home Launcher.

2. Operating Steps

2.1 Enable Letterbox Wallpaper

Go to Settings → Monitor → Letterbox Wallpaper and turn it on.

2.2 Wallpaper Display

After enabling, the Home Launcher will display the default Letterbox Wallpaper.

2.3 Change Wallpaper Image

2.3.1 Set a Custom Wallpaper

a. Copy your desired image file to a USB drive.
b. Navigate to Settings → Apps → See all apps → Letterbox Wallpapers → Open.
c. The Letterbox Wallpapers app will automatically detect images stored on the USB drive.
d. Browse and preview available images, select the desired image and tap "Set as wallpaper".

e. The Home Launcher will then display the newly selected wallpaper.

2.3.3 Image Scaling Rules

a. The image is scaled proportionally based on the screen height (smaller images are enlarged, larger ones are reduced).
b. The left portion of the image fills the left black area of the screen.
c. The right portion of the image fills the right black area of the screen.

Special Cases:

If an image is too tall and too narrow, scaling it proportionally to fit the screen height may cause insufficient width to cover the letterbox areas.

In this case, the image will be stretched horizontally (non-proportional scaling) to fill the black side areas.

Since this feature is designed specifically to fill the left and right sides of the screen, it is recommended to use images with an aspect ratio close to 21:9 (e.g., 3440×1440) for the best visual result.

3.8 Shop Mode

Shop mode can be found in "Settings -> System -> About -> Environment->Shop"

The Shop mode in a retail environment is a specific setting designed to optimize the display's performance in stores or exhibition spaces. This function helps attract customers' attention and enhance sales performance.

3.9 SET-UP THE Monitor (Using the Remote Control)

Initial Setup

1. Press the Power Button at the Top of the Remote.

Note: Monitor Controls on the Monitor are located on the bottom or on the side of the Monitor.

1. You will need to Pair the Remote with the Monitor firstly. After the code is successful, you can use the Bluetooth remote control to operate the Monitor.

1. Press ▲ / ▼ to select the system language and press OK to confirm the language.

1. Press ▲ / ▼ to set up Google Monitor which need to sign in google account for Google service, or basic Monitor which not need to sign in google account.

1. Scan setup code to download Google home app on your phone to set up or press ▲ / ▼ to set up on Monitor

1. Press ▲ / ▼ to select the wifi to connect, press OK and enter the password to confirm the connection is successful.

1. By accepting the Google Terms of Service to improve the product experience, select "Accept" to accept this condition.

1. Once the Set-up is finished, to exit Google Monitor and access another component such as a notebook, press the Input button.

3.10 SET-UP THE Monitor (Using the Remote Control)

Press the "Setting" button (the button with a gear icon) on the remote control --> Picture --> Backlight --> OK --> Use the left and right buttons on the remote control to adjust.

Note:

• Brightness - changes the colours of the pixels on the OLED screen. For example if you turn the Brightness up high, black pixels will change into light grey pixels (adjust the grayscale brightness).
• If you want to adjust the brightness of the screen, it is recommended to adjust the setting of the backlight setting directly.

4.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) menu

4.1.1 How to reconfigure

1. Press the ROG button on the Remote control to activate the OSD menu.
2. Press the ▼ and ▲ buttons to toggle between options in the menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted.
3. To select the highlighted item on the menu press the center key.
4. Press the ▼ and ▲ buttons to select the desired parameter.
5. Press the center key to enter the slide bar and then use the ▼ or ▲ buttons, according to the indicators on the menu, to make your changes.
6. Press the ◀/▶ to move left / right menu.

4.1.2 OSD Function Introduction

1. Gaming

Configure your gaming preferences.

- Variable Refresh Rate: Allow an Adaptive-Sync supported graphics source to dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame rates for power efficient, virtually stutter free and low-latency display update.

• Variable Refresh Rate can only be activated within 48Hz\~240Hz for both HDMI and DisplayPort sources.
• The following functions will be disabled when Variable Refresh Rate is turned on:
• ELMB

- ELMB: Check to decrease motion blur and minimize ghosting part when on-screen objects are fast moving. ELMB is enabled if input V frequency is 120Hz.

• To activate ELMB, turn off Variable Refresh Rate function first.
• ELMB works on vertical frequency 120Hz.
• The following functions will be disabled when ELMB is turned on:
- Variable Refresh Rate
- Sniper
- Aspect Control
- Blue Light Filter
- PBP Mode
- HDR Setting

- GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games. Particularly, Crosshair function is specially designed for new gamers or beginners interested in First Person Shooter (FPS) games.

To active GamePlus:

• Press the ROG key on the remote control or the middle key of the 5-way button to open the ROG Menu, then go to Gaming → GamePlus.
• Activate FPS Counter, Crosshair, Sniper, Timer, Stopwatch or Display Alignment function.

- Move the () button up/down to select and press () to confirm the function needed. Press ✗ to go off, and exit.

- Crosshair/Timer/Stopwatch/FPS Counter is movable by pressing 5-way key.

- GameVisual: This function contains nine sub-functions that you can select for your preference.

- Shadow Boost : Dark color enhancement adjust monitor gamma curve to enrich the dark tones in an image making dark scenes and objects much easier be found.

2. Image

Configure the image settings.

- Brightness: Adjust the brightness level.

- Contrast: Adjust the contrast level.

- HDR Setting: Set the HDR mode to Gaming HDR, Cinema HDR, Console HDR, DisplayHDR 400 True Black, Adjustable HDR, DolbyVision Bright, DolbyVision Dark or DolbyVision Gaming. The HDR brightness can be adjusted when the Brightness Adjustable function is enabled.

- When displaying HDR content, the following functions are not available: GameVisual, Shadow Boost, Brightness, Contrast, Aspect Control, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., Gamma, Saturation.

- The following functions will be disabled when HDR is turned on:

- ELMB

- Sniper

- GameVisual

- Shadow Boost

- Brightness

- Contrast

- Blue Light Filter

- Display Color Space

- Color Temp.

- Saturation

- Gamma

- HDR PQ curve will be affected when the brightness adjustment is ON under HDR mode.

- Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to 16:9, Square or 21:9 to enjoy different gaming scenario.

- Select Square to display the picture according to the original aspect ratio of the input source.

- The following functions will be disabled when Aspect Control is turned on:

- ELMB

- Blue Light Filter: Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight.

- OFF: No change.

- Level 1\~4: The higher the level, the less blue light is scattered. When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Racing Mode will be automatically imported. Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is userconfigurable. Level 4 is optimized setting. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.

- When the user adjusts blue light filter bar to maximum level.

Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strains:

- Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break.

• To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.

- Eye exercises can help to reduce eye strain. Repeat these exercises often. If eye strain continues please consult a physician. Eye exercises: (1) Repeating look up and down (2) Slowly roll your eyes (3) Move your eyes diagonal.

- High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoiding CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

- VividPixel: Enhance the outline of the displayed picture and generates high-quality images on screen.

3. Color

Select the image color you like from this function.

• Display Color Space: Contains three preset color modes sRGB, DCI-P3, and Wide Gamut Mode.
  • Color Temp.: Contains seven preset color modes (4000K, 5000K, 6500K, 7500K, 8200K, 9300K, 10000K) and User Mode.
• Saturation: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
• Gamma: Contains five gamma modes including 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6.

- In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 \~ 100.

4. OLED Care

Configure the screen protection related settings.

• Screen Saver: Enable/Disable the screen saver function. The screen brightness will automatically decrease when there is no change on the screen.
• Pixel Cleaning: It calibrates any issues that may arise on the screen when your monitor has been turned on for a long time. The process will take approximately 6 minutes. This function will automatically activate when the monitor is turn off. Do not unplug the power cord while it is in progress. If you power on the monitor, the Pixel Cleaning will stop operating.
• Pixel Cleaning Reminder: Set a reminder for user to perform the Pixel Cleaning.

The screen may have mura and image sticking due to OLED characteristic during the initial use or re-used after a long time. It is advised to perform Pixel Cleaning while turning on monitor to make sure situation disappear.

- Screen Move: Select the screen movement level to prevent image sticking on the display panel.

- Auto Logo Brightness: Enable this function to allow the system to automatically adjust the logo brightness to correct the potential picture quality issues.

With "Global Dimming Control" enabled, Logo Detection is automatically activated and unavailable for manual deactivation.

- Neo Proximity Sensor: If the function is enabled and the system does not detect the presence of object within 60 cm – 120 cm (depending on your selection) over the present time, the monitor will apply Screen-off.

Screen off time can be set as 5 minute, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes.

- Tailored mode: Allows users to customize the Neo Proximity Sensor detection distance. It is recommended to set the distance within 120cm. After a set period of time, the monitor will apply Screen-off.

• The angle and placement of the monitor sensor might affect the signal detection results.
• Before using the sensor, make sure the sensor window is clean and free of dirt, and ensure that no objects are covering the sensor window.

- OLED Usage Info: Record the number of times the Pixel Cleaning has been performed and displays the Pixel Cleaning interval information.

5. Input Select

Select your desired input source and toggle the Auto Input Detection function between on and off. The monitor input source will not automatically switch when the Auto Input Detection function is disabled.

6. Lighting Effect

Configure the lighting effect for the rear cover and base cover.

- Aura RGB: In this function you can select an Aura RGB light effect for the monitor and change settings for the light effect. Select "OFF" if you want to turn the Aura RGB light effect off.

7. MyFavorite

Assign a function to the shortcut button, save the current system configurations, or restore the system configuration.

- Customized Setting: Load/Save all settings on the monitor.

8. System Setup

Adjusts the system configuration.

• Sound: Configure the sound related settings.

• Volume (Earphone Out): Adjust the volume level.

- Mute: Enable/Disable the mute function.

- Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.

- Power Setting: Use to select Performance Mode or Power Saving Mode.

- Please turn off HDR function before activating the Power saving mode.

- In order to comply with regulatory power consumption standards, the power saving mode is designed to be the most energy-efficient setting. However, this may cause some inconvenience during use. It is recommended to adjust the settings under the Performance mode to better suit your personal preferences.

- OSD Setup: Configure the OSD menu related settings.

- OSD Position: Set the OSD menu position.

- OSD Timeout: Adjust the OSD timeout.

- Transparency: Adjust the OSD background from opaque to transparent.

- ASUS Power Sync: Enables or disables the ASUS Power Sync function. To activate this function, please enable this function of the monitor via HDMI port.
