Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.
• It is important to make sure all users are familiar with the device operation and safety features to prevent faults and accidents.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. • Do not keep the door open for too long, as doing so may cause a significant temperature increase in the appliance compartment.
• Regularly clean the surfaces that come into contact with wine and the accessible draining systems.
• If the appliance is left empty for long periods of time, unplug it from the mains, defrost it, clean it, dry it, and leave the door open to prevent internal mould growth.

• This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for the preservation of wine.

• This appliance is not suitable for freezing food.

• Use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual. Misuse or improper use can endanger both the appliance and the user.
• WARNING: if the interior light is damaged, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try to repair it on your own.
• WARNING: when positioning the appliance, make sure the power cable does not get trapped or damaged. A crushed or damaged connector may heat up and cause a fire.
• WARNING: do not attach multi-socket adaptors or multiple power supplies to the rear part of the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance with an extension lead or a multi-socket adaptor. Make sure the appliance is plugged in directly to a power supply.
• Air must flow around the appliance. Lack of air leads to overheating.
• Do not expose the electrical connections to water or humidity.
• Make sure your hands are dry before touching or switching on the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable, plug, or frame is damaged or if it is malfunctioning, has been dropped, or damaged.
• Place the appliance on a dry, stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• If the cord or any other part of the appliance is damaged, contact Cecotec's Technical Support Service to replace it.
• Do not try to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself.
• Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
• Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance operates properly.

Temperature range

The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. It indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance.

Note:

• Bearing in mind the limiting values of the room temperature range for the climates for which the cooling appliance is designed and that internal temperatures may be affected by factors such as the location of the cooling appliance, room temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature-control device according to these factors.
• If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specified climate type (i.e. beyond the rated room temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired compartment temperatures.

Refrigerant

- Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however, it is flammable.

• Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance.
• WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are flammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to flames.
• WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly.

- This symbol means: WARNING: risk of fire.

- If the refrigeration circuit is damaged:

A. Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
B. Completely air the room where the appliance is located.

INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ

• The graphics in this manual are schematic representations and may not exactly match the device.
• To make the most out of the appliance in terms of energy, place all the shelves in their original position, that is, as shown in Figure 1.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. INSTALLATION

• The location you choose for the appliance must be properly ventilated and far from heat sources. Do not place the appliance near heat sources, like a hob, and avoid direct sunlight to ensure proper cooling and save energy. It is not recommended to place the appliance in a wet place, as it may rust and cause electrical leakage.
• During operation, the appliance releases heat into the environment. Follow the instructions below to ensure proper heat dissipation:
  A. Leave at least 200 cm3 of free space around the appliance.

B. Leave at least 20 mm of free space between the wine cooler and the rear wall.
C. Leave at least 50 mm of free space between the sides of the appliance and other walls of devices.
D. Ensure constant air circulation around the wine cooler.

• Place the appliance on a solid, flat surface to keep it stable, or vibrations and noises will occur. Make sure that the appliance is level by adjusting the feet. If possible, do not place the appliance directly on the ground.
• Wait at least 2-3 hours before plugging the appliance into a power outlet and storing bottles inside. Clean the inside with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. Check that the shelves are correctly positioned.
• Installation is recommended in a location with a room temperature between 16 and 32 °C. A lower or higher temperature than indicated may affect optimal operation of the appliance.
• It is not advisable to use the wine cooler if room temperature is below 10 °C.
• A water container can be placed inside the appliance to maintain humidity.

4. OPERATION

This appliance has a temperature control on the front. You can adjust the temperature between 5 and 8 °C (41-64 °F).

The internal temperature could be affected by factors such as the location of the appliance, the room temperature and the frequency with which the door is opened, etc.

Temperature range displayed on the control panel: 0-37 °C (32-99 °F)

Temperature tolerance

• °C: if the temperature measured by the probe is within the range +/- 1 °C of the set temperature, the control panel display will show the value of the set temperature.
• °F: if the temperature measured by the probe is within the range +/- 2 °F of the set temperature, the control panel display will show the value of the set temperature.

Switch on

Plug in the appliance. Set the desired temperature using the temperature increase or decrease icons.

Please note:

After setting the temperature, the temperature indicator will show the internal temperature of the appliance, which will gradually change until the set temperature is reached.

Temperature unit selection

Press the Temperature unit selection/Light icon for 2 seconds (approx.) to switch between degrees Fahrenheit (°F) and degrees Celsius (°C).

Light on/off

Press the Temperature unit selection/Light icon to switch the interior light on. Press the icon again to turn it off. The light will automatically switch off after 10 minutes.

Locking the control panel

• The control panel has an automatic locking system that activates after 20 seconds of inactivity (without pressing any icons).
• Press the Unlock icon for 2 seconds (approx.) to unlock the control panel.
• If the control panel is locked, you will not be able to use the temperature increase and decrease icons.
• The Unlock icon and the Temperature/Light control icon operate normally.

NOTE:

When the wine cooler is switched on for the first time or after a period of time without use, there may be a considerable difference between the selected temperature and the temperature indicated on the control panel. This is normal, the appliance will reach the selected temperature after a few hours of operation.

Error codes

• LL: if the temperature measured by the probe is below 0 °C, "LL" will be displayed flashing on the control panel display and the wine cooler will stop cooling.
• If the temperature probe disconnects or short-circuits, the set temperature value will be shown on the display, and the compressor will run for 15 minutes and stop for 18 minutes.
• If the temperature measured by the probe is higher than 37\ °C , the set temperature value will be shown on the display, and the compressor will run for 15 minutes and stop for 18 minutes.

Anti-frost function

If the compressor runs for 12 hours straight, it will stop for 40 minutes to prevent frost formation.

Memory function

In the event of a power failure, the control board saves all previously set parameters (temperature unit and value).

5. STORAGE TIPS

• This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for wine preservation.
• Wine coolers are designed to store a maximum of 12 standard size bottles (Bordeaux type 750 ml capacity), store 2 bottles per shelf.
• You can store larger bottles as long as they don't prevent the door from closing properly.
• Capacity can vary depending on storage method or bottle size.

Please note:

• These temperatures are approximate as it depends on many factors, always take into account the manufacturer's indications.
• The recommended temperature for the wine cooler is 12 °C. Energy consumption is 0.373k Wh/24 h. If the set temperature is higher than 12 °C, the energy consumption will be lower. If the set temperature is below than 12 °C, the energy consumption will be higher.
• When the room temperature is 25 °C and the wine cooler has no bottles inside, it will take about 30 minutes to raise the temperature of the wine cooler from 5 °C to 12 °C. Similarly, it will take about one hour to reduce the temperature of the wine cooler from 12 °C to 5 °C. The smaller the temperature range, the less time it will take.
• Exposure to light, vibrations, or fluctuations in temperature and humidity can cause the wine to spoil. When properly stored, wines not only maintain their quality, but many improve in aroma, flavour, and complexity as they mature.
• Wines kept at higher temperatures age faster. Wines exposed to temperatures above 18 °C (64 °F) will lose flavour and aroma.
• If the wine is kept at too low a temperature, it can lead to the appearance of damaging deposits. A humidity of 60\~70% is ideal to prevent corks from shrinking.
• After opening a bottle of wine, the wine comes into contact with air. Therefore, it is best to store the rest of the bottle in an upright position to minimise the surface area of the wine that comes into contact with air.

• Once opened, the wine will be drinkable for two days in the case of whites or three days in the case of reds, provided that the bottle was resealed. Make sure the seal is tight by checking the stopper.

• In most wine shops you can buy special stoppers that keep sparkling wine and champagne bubbly for a day or two after opening.

• If stored correctly, white wines can last up to two years. Full-bodied reds age well for ten years, and dessert wines last for up to twenty years.
• When you buy a bottle of wine, you should immediately store it in the wine cooler.
• Cheaper bottles of wine do not age as well as more expensive ones.
• To make the most of the aroma and flavour of the wine, never fill more than half a glass at a time. The shape of the glass helps in that regard as well. The size and shape of the wine glass will determine the intensity and complexity of the aroma. The stem should be long enough to avoid hand contact with the bowl of the glass and should be tulip-shaped or tapered at the top.
• The shelf arrangement shown in Figure 3 is recommended to ensure energy efficiency.

Note

If none of these situations match your problem, do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself. Repairs carried out by unqualified people may result in injury or serious malfunctions. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The repair must be carried out by an authorised technician, and you must use only original spare parts.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance from the mains and let it cool down before cleaning it.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the device.

If you don't intend to use the appliance for a long period of time

• Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet. Empty the appliance.
• Clean and dry the interior completely. To avoid mould or unpleasant odours, leave the door slightly open.
• Store the appliance in a ventilated and dry place, away from heat sources; place the appliance carefully and do not place heavy objects on it.
• The appliance must be kept out of the reach of children to prevent them from playing with it.

Cleaning the interior and exterior

• Empty the interior and clean it with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with lukewarm water or neutral detergent. After using detergent, make sure you rinse it with clean water, and then dry it with a cloth.
• Do not use strong cleaners, scouring pads, or dissolvents to clean any of the appliance parts.
• Often clean dust that may accumulate. The condenser grille on the rear of the appliance and all adjacent components can be cleaned with a soft-brush vacuum cleaner.

Replacing the light bulb

• The appliance uses a LED light characterised by its low energy consumption and long lifespan.
• In case of malfunction, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
• Only the manufacturer or authorised personnel may replace the bulb.
