• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with flammable propellant in this appliance.

• Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the supplier, or qualified personnel to avoid hazards.
• WARNING! It is dangerous for anyone other than authorised personnel to carry out maintenance or repairs involving the removal of covers. To prevent the electric shock risk do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
• Do not place carbonated beverages in the freezer compartment. Ice cream can cause “freezer burns”. This can happen if they are ingested after removal from the freezer.
• Do not remove items from the freezer with wet/moist hands, as this may cause skin abrasions or "freeze burns". Bottles and cans should not be placed in the freezer, as they may burst when their contents freeze.
• See the storage times recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not allow children to play with the controls or the freezer. The freezer is a heavy appliance. Caution must be taken when moving the appliance. It is dangerous to alter specifications or attempt to modify this appliance in any way.
• WARNING: doors or covers fitted with locks and keys must

be kept out of the reach of children and not in the vicinity of the freezing appliance to prevent children from being locked inside.

- The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. Indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance.

Notes:

- Considering the limiting values of the ambient temperature range for the climates for which the freezer is designed and that internal temperatures may be affected by factors such as freezer location, ambient temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature control device according to these factors.

- If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specified climate type (i.e., beyond the rated ambient temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired compartment temperatures.

Free of Freon

- This freezer uses freon-free refrigerant (R600a) and foaming insulation material (cyclopentane), which are environmentally friendly, do not cause damage to the ozone layer, and have a very low impact on global warming. R600a is flammable and does not leak during normal use when sealed in a refrigeration system. In the event of refrigerant leakage due to damage to the refrigerant circuit, be sure to keep the appliance away from open flames and open the windows to ventilate as soon as possible.

This symbol means: warning, risk of fire/flammable materials.

To make the most out of the freezer in terms of energy, place all the shelves and drawers in their original position, that is, as shown in Figure 1.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. INSTALLATION

1. Conditions for proper ventilation

The location you choose for the installation of the freezer must be properly ventilated and away from heat sources. Do not place the freezer near heat sources, like a hob or pot, and avoid direct sunlight to ensure the cooling effect and save on energy consumption. Do not place the freezer in a damp place to avoid rust or loss of cooling performance, and do not expose it to rain.

Note:

The amount of refrigerant used by the freezer is specified on the appliance marking.

2. Installation instructions

• Before installation, please read the instructions carefully to avoid any problems.
• Figure 2 shows the dimensions of the mounting space.
• Place the freezer on a solid, flat surface to keep it stable, otherwise vibrations and noises will occur. When the freezer is placed on a carpet, straw mat, or polyvinyl chloride, solid support plates should be placed under the freezer to avoid colour change due to heat dissipation.
• It is necessary to maintain unobstructed ventilation around the appliance or in the structure where it is installed.
• It is advisable to allow 50-70 mm of space from the back of the freezer to the wall, at least 100 mm from its upper part, at least 100 mm from its side to the wall and a clearance at the front to allow the doors to open 135°.

3. Levelling of the device

• For sufficient levelling and air circulation at the lower rear part of the appliance, it may be necessary to adjust the lower legs.
• You can adjust them manually or by using a suitable spanner (not included).
• To allow doors to close automatically, tilt the upper part back by about 10-15 mm.

4. Installing the door handle.

Remove the handle and screws from the bag (depending on the model); then, remove the handle cover. Place the handle cover on the right side of the door and secure it with the screws.

5. Reversing the freezer door

The opening side of the door can be changed from the right side to the left side if the location of the appliance requires it.

Warning! Be careful when reversing the door.

• The appliance must not be connected to a mains socket. Make sure it is unplugged from the power supply.
• Necessary tools (not included).
• 8-mm tube wrench
• Fine-tipped screwdriver
• Spatula
• Crosshead screwdriver
• Spanner
• 8-mm wrench
• Additional parts in plastic bag (optional - depending on model): left hinge cover.

NOTE: When necessary, tilt the freezer backwards to gain access to the base, the appliance should be placed on soft foam packaging or similar material to avoid damaging the back of the freezer. To reverse the door, the following steps are generally recommended.

1. Use a spatula or a fine-tipped screwdriver to remove the screw hole cover in the top left corner and the top right hinge cover of the freezer. Fig. 4

1. Unscrew the special self-tapping flange screws used to secure the right-hand top hinge assembly with an 8 mm socket spanner or spanner (hold the top of the door by hand when doing so). Fig. 5

1. Remove the shaft from the upper hinge, twist and tighten it firmly, then store it in a safe place. Fig. 6

Note

When removing the door, look for washers between the hinge and the bottom of the door that may stick to the door itself. Do not lose them.

1. Place the door on a smooth surface with the panel facing upwards. Loosen the self-tapping screws and door stop, then install them on the left side and tighten them securely. Fig. 8

1. Place the freezer on soft foam packaging or similar material. Remove the two adjustable lower legs and the lower hinge by unscrewing the self-tapping screws. Fig. 9

1. Replace the lower hinge on the left-hand side and secure it with the self-tapping screws. Replace the adjustable feet on the other side and fix them. Fig. 10

2. Shift the door to the desired position, adjust the bottom hinge until its axis fits into the bottom hole of the door. Fig. 11

3. Move the upper hinge and make the shaft enter the upper hole of the door, then adjust the position of the door (hold the door with your hands), fixing the upper hinge with the self-tapping screws. Fig. 12

1. Install the screw hole cover on the top right corner of the freezer.

Install the top hinge cover (located in the plastic bag, depending on model) in the left corner.

Place the other top hinge cover in the plastic bag. Fig. 13

1. Change the handle on the left side of the door to the right side. Fig. 14

Warning!

When changing the opening side of the door, the freezer must not be connected to the mains. Remove the plug from the socket before starting.

4. OPERATION

Control panel

The control panel that regulates the freezer compartment temperature is located inside the freezer compartment. When the freezer is switched on for the first time, the icons on the display light up. Fig. 15

Temperature control for optimal food preservation

We suggest that, when you first start the freezer, set the temperature to -18°C . If you wish to change the temperature, follow the instructions below.

NOTE: high temperature settings can accelerate food wastage.

Warning:

• When a temperature is set, it is the average temperature for the entire freezer.
• Temperatures inside each freezer drawer may vary from the temperatures displayed on the panel, depending on the amount of food you store, where you place it, the installation conditions, etc. A high or low ambient temperature may also affect the temperature inside the freezer.

Fast Freezing mode

• The Fast Freezing mode will quickly lower the freezer temperature to allow food to freeze faster. In this way, vitamins and nutrients of fresh food are preserved for a longer period of time.
• Press the TEMP°C/Fast Freezing button for approximately 3 seconds to select the super freeze function. The display will show “-24” (°C) and the indicator will light up.
• Several hours before putting fresh food in the freezer, activate the Fast-Freezing function to prevent an unwanted temperature rise.

ENGLISH

• For fast freezing, you can activate the Fast-Freezing function 24 hours before placing fresh products in the freezer.
• This function switches off automatically after 52h.
• To turn off the Fast-Freezing function, press the TEMP°C/Fast Freezing button.
• If the Fast-Freezing function is deactivated, the freezer will automatically switch to the temperature set before this mode.

Temperature control TEMP (°C)

You can press the TEMP°C/Fast Freezing button to activate the freezer temperature control mode. If you press the button continuously, the temperature will be adjusted according to the following sequence.

• If the freezer door remains open for more than 1 minute, an alarm will sound, and the display indicator will start flashing.
• The buzzer will stop sounding when the ALARM button is pressed, and the indicator will remain lit but will stop flashing.
• To save energy, avoid leaving the door open for a long time when using the freezer. The door alarm can also be silenced by closing the door.

5. USE OF THE FREEZER MODE

This section explains how to use the freezer efficiently. It is recommended to read them carefully before using the appliance.

WARNING! Make sure that the bottles are not left in the freezer, as freezing can cause the bottles to break.

Waiting time

Once the freezer is correctly installed and clean, do not turn it on immediately, wait at least 4 hours before connecting it to the power supply to ensure normal operation.

Switch-on

Before putting food into the freezer, check that the temperature drops noticeably, this indicates that the refrigeration system is working normally.

Using the freezer compartments

It can be used for freezing fresh food and storing deep-frozen frozen food for long periods of time.

Shelves (depending on the model)

• Shelves are suitable for storing food.
• To remove shelves: lift the front part and pull out.

Freezer drawers

• For storing frozen food. To open a drawer, pull it to its full extension and lift it up and out.
• According to the opposite sequence, you can place the drawer correctly.

WARNING!

• This freezer appliance is not designed to be used as a built-in appliance.
• To save energy, do not remove the bottom drawer of the freezer.

IMPORTANT!

To make the most of the volume of the freezer compartment, you can remove one or more drawers from the appliance, depending on your daily use.

Warning: never close the door while the drawer is extended. It could damage the appliance.

6. TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS

• The following energy saving tips are recommended:
• Try to avoid keeping the door open for a long period of time to save energy. Keep the appliance away from heat sources (direct sunlight, electric ovens, or cookers, etc.).
• Do not set the temperature colder than necessary.
• Do not store hot food or steaming liquids in the appliance.
• Place the device in a well-ventilated and humidity-free place. See section "Installation of the appliance".
• If the table shows the correct configuration for drawers and shelves, do not modify it, as it is designed to be the most energy efficient configuration.

Fresh food refrigeration tips

• Do not place hot food directly in the freezer, as the interior temperature will increase, straining the compressor and spending more energy.
• Cover or wrap food, especially if it has a strong odour.
• Place food correctly so air can flow freely around it.
• Do not put too much or too heavy food in the freezer. Leave enough space between the food; if they are too close together, they will block the flow of cold air, which will affect the cooling effect.
• Do not store too much or too heavy food to prevent the shelves from bending. When storing food, keep it at some distance from the inside wall; do not place water-rich food too close to the rear wall of the appliance to prevent it from freezing.

Food refrigeration tips

• Meat (all types): wrap in suitable packaging and place on the glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable drawer. Always respect the shelf life of foodstuffs and the expiry dates suggested by manufacturers.
• Pre-cooked food, cold dishes, etc.: must be covered and can be placed on any shelf.
• Fruits and vegetables: they must be kept in the special drawer provided for this purpose.
• Butter and cheese: they should be wrapped in airtight aluminium foil or plastic film.
• Bottles: they should have lids and be stored on the door shelves.
• Effervescent or carbonated drinks should not be stored in the freezer.
• The internal temperature may be affected by factors such as the location of the appliance, room temperature, door opening frequency, etc., and you should take these factors into account if you decide to use any temperature-control devices.

Tips for freezing food

• When operating for the first time or after a period of disuse, allow the appliance to run for at least 2 hours on the highest setting before placing food in the compartment.
• If the freezing capacity is to be used according to the rating plate, switch on the Fast-Freezing function 24 hours before putting in fresh food.
• Prepare food in small portions so that it can be frozen quickly and completely and only as much as necessary can be thawed later.
• Wrap food in aluminium foil or suitable airtight wrapping.
• Do not allow defrosted fresh food to come in contact with already frozen food to avoid the temperature of the latter to increase.
• Frozen products (ice cubes, popsicles): if consumed immediately after removal from the

freezer, they can cause frostbite on the skin.

- It is recommended to label and place a date in each frozen food to keep track of the storage time.

Tips for frozen food storage

• Follow food labelling instructions.
• Once defrosted, food will deteriorate quickly and should not be frozen again. Do not exceed the storage time indicated in food packages.

Power failure or cooling system fault

• Try to open the freezer door as little as possible, so that you can keep food in good condition for hours.
• If you receive an early power failure warning:
• Set the temperature to the lowest possible level (cold) (Do not store new food during this time!). Set the temperature back to the original setting when the power supply returns to normal.

Note:

Once you start using the freezer, it is best to use it continuously to lengthen its service life.

Switching off the appliance

• If it is necessary to switch off the appliance for a prolonged period of time, the following measures should be taken to prevent mould growth.
• Remove the food.
• Remove the plug from the outlet.
• Clean and dry the interior completely.
• Make sure the door is slightly open to allow air flow.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

For hygienic reasons, the freezer (as well as the exterior and interior accessories) should be cleaned regularly at least every two months.

Warning!

To avoid electric shocks, the appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it from the wall socket.

Cleaning the exterior

• To keep your freezer looking good, you should clean it regularly.
• Dampen a cloth instead of spraying water on the freezer. This helps to ensure an even distribution of moisture on the surface.
• Clean doors, handles and external surfaces with a neutral cleaning agent and dry them with a soft cloth.
• Do not use sharp objects for cleaning as they may scratch the surface.
• Do not use thinner, car detergent, bleach, ethereal oil, abrasive cleaners, or organic solvents such as benzene for cleaning. They may damage the surface of the appliance and cause a fire.

Inside cleaning

• The inside of the appliance must be cleaned frequently. It will be easier to clean when there is little food inside. To clean the interior, you can use a diluted solution of baking soda and water and then rinse with a damp sponge or cloth, or you can use a specific non-abrasive cleaning product.
• Dry thoroughly before refitting shelves and drawers. Dry all surfaces and removable parts thoroughly before replacing them.
• This appliance is defrosted manually. A layer of frost may form on the inside walls of the freezer compartment if the door is opened frequently or kept open for too long. If the frost is too thick, choose a time when the freezer is almost empty and proceed as follows:
• Remove food and accessories from inside the freezer, unplug the appliance from the mains and leave the doors open. Ventilate the room well to speed up the process.
• When defrosting is complete, clean the freezer as described above.

Warning!

Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the freezer. Do not reconnect the appliance to the mains until the interior is completely dry.

Door seals cleaning

• Keep the door seals clean. Sticky food and drinks can cause the seals to stick to the freezer and break when the door is opened. Clean the seal with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.
• Do not switch on the appliance until the door seal is completely dry.

Warning!

Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the freezer. Do not reconnect the appliance to the mains until the interior is completely dry.

8. TROUBLESHOOTING

If you have a problem with your appliance, you can carry out some simple checks before calling for technical service.

Warning!

Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself. If the problem persists after the checks, contact authorised personnel, the store where you purchased the product, or the official Cecotec Customer Service.

Danger

Risk of child trapping.

• Before disposing of the freezer remove the doors.
• Leave the shelves in place so that children cannot easily climb inside.
• For the following minor malfunctions, please try to solve the problem yourself before contacting the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

Problem	Possible cause and solution
The device is not working properly.	Check that the power cord is properly connected to a power outlet.
	Check the fuse or circuit in your power supply, replace if necessary.
	The room temperature is too hot. Try adjusting the compartment temperature to a cooler setting.
	It is normal for the freezer not to operate during the defrost cycle or for a short time after switching on the appliance to protect the compressor.
Smells inside the compartments.	The interior may need to be cleaned.
	Some foods, packaging, or wrappings cause odours.
Appliance noise.	These sounds are normal:- Compressor operating noises.- Air movement noise from freezer fan motor or other compartments.- Noise similar to boiling water.- "Popping" noise during automatic defrosting (depending on model).- Clicking noise before the compressor is switched on.- Engine noise in icy conditions.
	Other causes of unusual noise are listed below and may require review and action:- The freezer is not levelled.- The rear part of the freezer is in contact with the wall.Containers have fallen over or are rolling.
The engine runs constantly.	It is normal to hear the sound of the engine frequently. It will need to function further in the following circumstances:

	The temperature is set colder than necessary.A large quantity of hot food has been stored in the appliance.The temperature outside the appliance is high.Doors are kept open too long or too often.After installing the appliance or if it has been switched off for a long time.
A layer offrost is produced in the compartment.	Check that the air vents are not blocked by food and make sure that the food is correctly placed inside the appliance for sufficient ventilation. Make sure the door is completely closed.To remove frost, read the ‘Cleaning and maintenance’ section.
The interior temperature is too warm.	The door may have been left open too long or too often, the door may be held open by an object, or the appliance may be positioned with insufficient clearance at the sides, rear and top.
The interior temperature is too cold.	Increase the temperature following the ‘Control panel’ section.
Doors do not close easily.	Check if there is anything inside that prevents the doors from closing.
Water bubbling inside.	It is normal. The bubbling comes from the coolant circulating in the freezer.

Please note

If none of these situations match your problem, do not attempt to disassemble, or repair the appliance by yourself. Repairs carried out by unqualified persons may result in injury or serious malfunctions. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The repair must be carried out by an authorised technician, and you must use only original spare parts.

Please note

- Food should be packed in suitable bags or containers before being placed in the freezer, and liquids should be packed in bottles or containers with lids to facilitate cleaning of the appliance.
