Frequently Asked Questions - HD600X-LV OPTOMA

How to turn on the projector?
Remove the lens cap, plug in the power cord, then press the button on the control panel or remote. The LED indicator changes from orange to green.
How to connect a computer to the projector?
Use a VGA (or HDMI) cable to connect the computer to the VGA1 or HDMI1/2 connector on the projector. Turn on the projector, then select the corresponding source using the SOURCE button.
How to activate 3D?
Make sure the 3D source is connected (HDMI 1.4a). Turn on the 3D glasses, then in the OSD menu go to Display > 3D and choose the appropriate 3D mode (DLP Link or VESA 3D). For SBS signals, enable the corresponding 3D Format.
What to do if the image is distorted?
Use the vertical keystone correction (V. Keystone in the OSD menu or the +/- buttons on the remote) to straighten the image. You can also reposition the projector so that it is centered relative to the screen.
How to replace the lamp?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes. Open the lamp cover, unscrew the module screws, remove the old lamp by the handle and insert the new one. Close the cover, then reset the counter in OPTIONS > Lamp Settings > Lamp Reset.
How to clean the projector?
Turn off and unplug the projector. Use a soft, dry cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent to clean the casing. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Do not clean the lens with a dry cloth; use a suitable product if necessary.
The projector does not turn on, what to do?
Check that the power cord is properly plugged in and that the outlet works. Make sure the LED is orange (standby). If the LED blinks, refer to the LED indicator table in the manual. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to adjust the sharpness of the image?
Turn the focus ring on the lens until the image is sharp. You can also fine-tune in the OSD menu under Image > Sharpness (values from 1 to 15).
Can I use a universal remote?
The projector uses a standard IR remote. A universal remote compatible with Optoma codes may work. Consult the RS232 protocol for advanced wired control.
How to lock the projector?
In the OSD menu go to SETTINGS > Security and enable the Security function. Set a 4-digit password (default 1234). The projector will request this password at each power on.
