Frequently Asked Questions - Cecofry Fantastik 6500 CECOTEC

How to turn on and off the Cecofry Fantastik 6500 air fryer?
Plug in the appliance, place the food in the basket, then press the power button. Use the touch controls to set the temperature and timer. The appliance shuts off automatically at the end of the programmed time or when you press and hold the power button.
How much oil should I use?
No oil is needed for hot air cooking. You can apply a thin layer of oil to the food with a brush or spray for a crispier result, but this remains optional.
How do I clean the basket and the bowl?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Remove the basket and the bowl, wash them in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. Dry thoroughly before putting them back. Do not use abrasive scouring pads that could damage the non-stick coating.
Can I put frozen fries directly into the fryer?
Yes, frozen fries can be cooked without pre-thawing. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even cooking and adjust the time according to the quantity and thickness of the fries.
What is the recommended cooking time for fresh fries?
For fresh fries cut into sticks, allow about 25 to 30 minutes at 180 °C. Stir halfway through. For frozen fries, allow 15 to 20 minutes depending on the brand and thickness.
How do I set the temperature and timer?
Use the + and - buttons or the touch screen to select the desired temperature (between 80 °C and 200 °C). Then set the cooking time up to 60 minutes. The digital display shows the active settings.
Are there any important safety instructions?
Never immerse the appliance in water. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not leave it unattended while in use. Use the cool-touch handle and the protective glove if provided. Unplug it after use and while it is hot.
How to prevent food from sticking to the basket?
Use an oil spray or lightly brush the basket before cooking. Turn or shake the food halfway through using the provided plastic spatula or silicone utensils to avoid scratching the coating.
Can I use aluminum or silicone containers in the air fryer?
Yes, you can use silicone molds or small trays that fit the size of the bowl. Aluminum containers are also acceptable, but avoid any contact with the heating elements and ensure they are well stabilized.
What to do if the appliance does not turn on?
Check that the plug is properly inserted and that the outlet works. Make sure the basket is fully inserted (usually with a click). If the screen still does not light up, contact Cecotec after-sales service. Never disassemble the appliance yourself.
