How to install the Energysilence Aero 5200 fan?

How to use the remote control?

The remote control allows you to adjust the speed (3 levels), activate reversible rotation (summer/winter), and set a timer. Insert the provided batteries and point it at the fan.

How to reverse the rotation direction for winter?

Why is the fan making noise?

How to clean the wooden blades?

Use a soft, slightly damp or dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or excess water to avoid damaging the wood. Unplug the device before cleaning.

What is the minimum ceiling height required?

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• Keep a minimum distance of 2.3 cm between the fan blades and the floor.
• Keep a minimum distance of 76 cm between the fan blades and the wall or any other object.

• Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the power supply before cleaning or user maintenance.

• This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the appliance marking and that the wall outlet is earthed.

Instructions on batteries

• Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft-tissue perforation, and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.

• Both batteries and cells can leak under extreme conditions. In the event of a battery leak, keep your skin and eyes away from the liquid. If the liquid gets into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. 3. ASSEMBLY

Assembly preparation

• To prevent personal injury and damage, make sure that the location where the appliance is going to be installed allows a 2.3-metre clearance from the blades to the floor and a 76-cm clearance from the blades to any wall or object. Fig. 2
• Make sure that the building structure can hold the full weight of the fan.
• This fan can be installed on a normal or vaulted ceiling with a downrod. The hanging length of the fan can be extended with a longer rod. Fig. 3
• Ensure that the junction box is securely fastened to the building structure and can support the full weight of the fan.
• Installation requires the following tools: screwdriver, flat screwdriver, adjustable pliers or spanner, ladder, wire cutters and electrical tape.

1. Drill a 8 mm hole in the ceiling and insert the bolt. Align the bracket with the hole and tighten it with the nut.

8. If you want the fan to hang lower, you must remove the hanging ball from the supplied 6-inch downrod for use with a longer rod (included). (If you wish to use the 6-inch downrod, follow the steps below).

9. To remove the hanging ball, loosen the suspension ball locking screw and remove the pin and clip. Lower the hanging ball and remove the clevis pin. Slide the hanging ball off the downrod, and slide it onto the longer rod (note that the top of the rod has a hole for the

locking screw). Insert the clevis pin into the top of the extended downrod and raise the hanging ball. Make sure the clevis pin is aligned with the holes on the inside of the hanging ball and tighten the fixing screw securely.

Tip: to prepare for passing the electrical wires through the rod, attach a small piece of electrical tape to the ends of the electrical wires to hold them together when passing them through the rod.

1. Loosen the main-body attachment fixing bolts and nut at the top of the motor housing. Remove the clevis pin and downrod clip (if you have not already done so). Slide the rod down through the canopy.
2. Pass the electrical wires through the rod and pull the wires protruding from the top of the rod end.
3. Place the main-body attachment downrod into the main body anchorage of the motor housing and insert the clevis pin and clip previously removed. Tighten the fixing bolts and the main-body attachment nut securely. Lower the canopy onto the motor housing

1. Lift the canopy up to the mounting bracket, aligning the loosened screws in the bracket with the holes in the canopy. Turn the canopy to lock it. Re-insert the screws and secure them all with a screwdriver.
2. Once you have secured the mounting bracket to the connection cover, you can hang the fan. Hold the fan firmly with both hands. Slide the downrod through the opening in the mounting bracket and allow the ball to rest on the bracket. Rotate the hole in the hanging ball until it aligns with the tab on the mounting bracket.

Tip: have someone else hold the ladder securely and bring the fan closer to you once it is on the ladder.

1. Place the blades brackets on the blades and screw them on.
2. Once the brackets are secured, attach the blades to the motor.
   Note: do not tighten them completely until they are all in place.
3. When all three blades are correctly installed, tighten the screws completely.

4. OPERATION

This ceiling fan can only be operated with the remote control provided in the box.

12. To switch on the fan function, press button 2.

13. The operation indicator light indicates that the fan is operating correctly.
14. The fan has 6 speeds, 1 is the lowest and 6 is the most powerful.
15. To switch off the fan, press button 3.
16. The timer buttons will allow you to select between 2, 4 and 8 hours of operation.
17. Once the selected time has elapsed, the fan will switch off automatically.
18. To deactivate the timer before it has completed its operation press button 8.
19. Natural Breeze mode simulates the natural variations of the wind, providing a feeling similar to that of a gentle breeze. The ceiling fan automatically alternates between different speeds to mimic the feeling of a cool, natural breeze.
20. Programmed auto mode button. Programme the fan to turn on and off automatically at specific times; in this case, the fan will run at speed 1 and turn on for 5 minutes every 2 hours.
21. To mute the sound of the buttons when pressed, press button 4 on the remote control.
22. The winter/summer mode allows you to adjust the direction in which the fan blades rotate to suit seasonal needs. To activate winter mode, press button 6. To activate summer mode, press button 7.

Remote control pairing

1. Turn on the fan and within 5 seconds, press the Off button on the remote control for 3 seconds. You will then hear a long beep; this means that the pairing has been successful. Now you can operate the fan normally.
2. If you notice that the transmitter does not control the receiver, check that the batteries are inserted correctly and that they are not dead.
3. This may also be due to the proximity of similar products that also operate with a remote control, which, if they use the same frequency, could cause interference.

4. If the batteries in the remote control are dead, replace them so that you can continue to use it normally.

5. Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.

6. Make sure that the earth wire is properly connected.
7. When positioning the fan, make sure that no wires are pinched. If this happens, a short-circuit may occur.

Changing the remote-control batteries

The remote control requires 2 x 1.5 V-3 AAA batteries.

1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment observing the polarity.
3. Close the compartment.

Reminder

• The receiver must be correctly installed in the fan mounting bracket.
• Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
• The isolation switch must be switched on.
• If the power is cut off (e.g. due to a blackout) the light will go out. When the power is restored, the light will switch on again.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Make sure to disconnect the fan before cleaning it.
• Do not immerse any of the parts of the appliance in water or splash them with any other liquid.
• Do not use solvents or any other chemical products for cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the device.
