How to install the Energysilence Aero 5200 Blackwood ceiling fan?

How to use the winter/summer function?

- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.

• Keep a minimum distance of 2.3 cm between the fan blades and the floor.
• Keep a minimum distance of 76 cm between the fan blades and the wall or any other object.
• Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the power supply before cleaning or user maintenance.
• This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the appliance marking and that the wall outlet is earthed.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any type of danger.
• Do not use the appliance if its cord or housing are damaged, nor after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.

Instructions on batteries

• Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft-tissue perforation, and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE

1. Drill a 8 mm hole in the ceiling and insert the bolt. Align the fixing bracket with the hole and tighten it with the nut.

2. Remove the clevis pin and clevis from the downrod. Pass the downrod through the canopy and the decorative cover Fig. 3
3. Pass the electrical wires and the earth wire through the downrod. Fig. 4
4. Loosen the two fixing screws of the downrod bracket. Next, place the downrod in the bracket. Align the holes in the downrod clevis pin with the holes in the downrod bracket.

NOTE: be sure to insert the straight end of the clevis through the hole near the end of the clevis pin until the curved part of the clevis fits into the clevis pin.
5. Finally, retighten the two fixing screws. Once the downrod is installed, cover the joint properly with the decorative cover. Fig. 6.

WARNING

It is essential that the downrod bracket clevis screw is correctly installed and that the fixing screws are tightened securely. Failure to check that the clevis screw, clevis clip and fixing screws are correctly installed may cause the fan to fall.

Installing the blades

1. Unscrew the fixed screws and store them in a safe place. Fig. 7
2. Attach the blades to the fan body using the screws provided, making sure to tighten them correctly. Fig. 8
3. Place the decorative cover in the installation hole to give a finishing touch to the appearance of the ceiling fan. Fig. 9

With these simple steps, the installation of the fan blades will be effectively completed.

Hanging the fan

1. Lift the fan carefully and place the downrod and hanging ball assembly in the mounting bracket attached to the ceiling. Fig. 10

NOTE: make sure that the groove (a) of the hanging ball is correctly aligned with the tab (b) of the mounting bracket (c). Fig. 11

WARNING: the fan must be hung with at least 230 cm clearance from the floor to the blades.

Connecting the remote-control receiver cables

WARNING

To avoid possible electric shock, make sure that the power is disconnected at the main fuse box before wiring.

Insert the receiver into the mounting bracket as shown in figure 12 so that the remote control can pair with the remote control and operate correctly.

Receiver wiring

The receiver wiring method shall follow the following scheme in Figure 13.

Installing the decorative cover

To mount the cover, tighten the two screws provided in the assembly kit as shown in Figure 14.

8. The operation indicator light on the receiver is used to indicate whether the fan is on or off. When you switch on the fan from the remote control, the receiver will receive the signal and activate the fan motor. At the same time, the indicator light will light up, indicating that the fan is in operation. When you switch off the fan, the indicator light will go out.

9. The speed buttons allow you to switch on the fan and choose the desired speed. It has 6 speeds to regulate the intensity of the air flow.

10. The off button will allow you to switch off the fan completely.

11. Reverse rotation button. A motor reversing system is available to perform the summer/winter function. Rotating in one direction, you can enjoy a pleasant breeze in summer, and, in the opposite direction, the fan will blow warm air to the floor and complement your heating system in winter.
12. Natural Breeze button. It allows for the 6 speeds to be randomly interchanged.
13. Timer buttons. Up to 8 hours of operation can be selected, after which the fan will switch off.

NOTE: once you press the timer button, do not press any other button. Otherwise, the function will be cancelled.

WARNING: to synchronise the receiver with the remote control, switch on the receiver and press the pairing button on the remote control at the same time. Synchronisation is successful when a double beep is heard.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING:

• Before cleaning or repairing the fan, disconnect it from the mains.

• To avoid risk of fire and electric shock, only use the switch provided with this fan.

• It is recommended to check at least once a year the connecting parts of the fan, such as the fastening screws and blades, to ensure that they are completely fixed.

• Clean the ceiling fan regularly. To remove dust from the surface, use a soft brush or cloth.
• If the fan has grease on it, wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth. Do not rinse the fan directly with water.
• The motor bearing is already greased, do not add lubricating oil.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

The fan does not switch on	1. Check whether the fuse in the external power supply line of the ceiling fan has blown, the automatic protection switch has tripped, or the circuit has been interrupted.2. Check if the voltage is much lower than the nominal voltage of the fan.3. Check the internal wiring of the fan for loose or faulty contacts.
Fan makes noise	1. Before mounting the fan, make sure that it is not damaged.2. Make sure that the mounting bracket is correctly positioned and that the screws are securely fastened.3. Some new ceiling fans make noise for the first 24 hours, after which they stop making noise.4. It is not recommended to install this fan on wooden ceilings, steel structures or prefabricated slabs, as they amplify the sound of the fan.
