Frequently Asked Questions - Forcesilence Puretech 6500 CECOTEC

How to install the Cecotec Forcesilence Puretech 6500 air conditioner?
Place the unit near a window or door to exhaust hot air. Attach the exhaust hose to the hot air outlet and direct it outside. Plug the unit into a 220-240V outlet. Ensure the filter is clean before first use.
How to clean the air filter?
Remove the filter located at the back of the unit. Wash it with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry completely before reinstalling. Clean it every two weeks to maintain efficiency.
What to do if the unit does not cool enough?
Check that the filter is not clogged. Ensure the room is not too large for the unit's capacity (6500 BTU/h suitable up to 25 m²). Check that the exhaust hose is not bent or blocked. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Does the air conditioner make noise?
The noise level is about 50 dB in normal mode, comparable to a quiet conversation. Silent mode reduces noise for comfortable sleep.
How to use the night mode?
Press the 'Mode' button on the remote control until 'Night' is selected. The unit automatically adjusts the temperature and fan speed for optimal comfort with reduced noise.
What is the power consumption of the unit?
In cooling mode, consumption is about 900 W. In ventilation only mode, it is lower. Use the timer to limit consumption.
Can I use the air conditioner without the exhaust hose?
No, the exhaust hose is essential to expel hot air. Without it, the unit cannot cool effectively.
How to empty the water tank?
The model has an auto-evaporation system, reducing the need to drain water. In high humidity, a collection tray fills; empty it by unscrewing the cap at the back.
What refrigerant gas is used and is it dangerous?
The gas used is R290 (propane), an eco-friendly but flammable refrigerant. The unit is designed to be safe. Do not puncture the refrigeration circuit and entrust repairs to a professional.
Where to find spare parts?
Spare parts are available on the official Cecotec website or from their customer service. Common parts like the filter and remote control are easily found.

How to fill the water tank
