How to correctly install my Cecotec Bolero Dresscode washing machine?

• Do not wash items that have been soiled with substances such as cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine, waxes, and wax removers.
• We do not recommend washing foam rubber products, shower caps, waterproof garments, items or garments lined with rubber, or pillows with foam rubber padding.

• Detergents, fabric softeners, and other additives should be used as specified by the product manufacturer.

• Do not wash articles that have been cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or stained with flammable or explosive substances, like wax, oil, paint, petrol, degreasers, dry-cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc., which may result in fire or explosion.

• When washing fabrics that contain vegetable or cooking oil or have been contaminated by haircare products, they should first be washed in hot water with extra detergent. This will reduce, but not eliminate, the hazard.
• The plug must be accessible after installation.
• The appliance must not be installed behind a lockable door, a sliding door, or a door with a hinge on the opposite side to that of the device.
• The appliance shall not be installed in a humid place.
• The product is designed for machine-washable laundry only.
• Do not stand or sit on the appliance.
• Do not lean against appliance door.
• Flammable and explosive or toxic solvents are forbidden. Do not use detergents containing petrol, alcohol, etc. Only use detergents suitable for machine washing, especially those which are dosed directly in the drum.
• Do not stop the device before ending the washing cycle. In any case, if this should happen, remove the garments with caution, as they may reach high temperatures.
• Once the washing cycle has finished, we recommend removing the laundry as soon as possible to prevent creases.

Cautions during the handling of the appliance

• If you wish to change the location of the washing machine, make sure you re-install the transport bolts, as they will prevent damage to the appliance during transport.

• Water accumulated inside the appliance must be drained out.

• Handle the machine carefully. Do not lift the appliance by its protruding parts. Do not use the door of the device as a handle during transport.

• The device is heavy. Transport it with care.
• Secure the drain and water-supply hose correctly.
• Do not close the door with excessive force. If it is found difficult to close the door, please check if the clothes are put in or distributed well.
• Do not use to wash carpets.
• Never pour water manually during washing.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. INSTALLATION

Washing machine transport

• At least two people are required to lift or transport the appliance. First, tilt the washing machine backwards. One person should stand behind the washing machine and hold the top part from behind, while the other person should hold the bottom part from the front.
• To avoid injury, always wear protective gloves when lifting or transporting the appliance.
• If you use a transport trolley to move the appliance, lean it against the rear to avoid damaging the door or control panel.

Unpacking

1. Remove the washing machine from its packaging.
2. To remove the polystyrene protection blocks, do not rest the appliance on its front part. Place a blanket on the floor and carefully lay the appliance on its side to remove the cardboard base. Never turn the appliance upside down or right side up.
3. Make sure that the appliance has not been damaged during transport. Check that all components supplied with the washing machine are included in the box. If the appliance has been damaged during transport or if any parts are missing, contact the retailer and do not proceed with the installation.

WARNING:

Packaging materials may be dangerous to children. Please keep all packaging material (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.) out of the reach of children.

Removing the transport bolts

- To ensure that the washing machine is not damaged during transport, 4 transport bolts are fitted. If these are not removed before installing the washing machine, the drum may be damaged during operation. In addition, the appliance will vibrate and be much noisier during spin cycles. Therefore, you must ensure that they are completely removed before the first use. We recommend that you keep the transport bolts so that you can reinstall them if necessary. To avoid damage if the appliance is transported in the future, be sure to reinstall the screws before transport.

- Follow the procedure below:

1. Loosen the 4 transport bolts (A) with the spanner (supplied) and remove them together with the 4 spacer tubes (B) as shown in figure 3.

Please note:

When removing the bolts, some plugs may fall into the drum. To remove them, tilt the washer forward so that they fall to the floor or take them out directly from inside the washer.

ENGLISH

1. Insert the 4 cover caps (C) into the screw holes. You will find them in the accessory kit.
2. Store all parts in a safe place. You will need them again if the washing machine needs to be moved to another location.
3. If you want to install the washing machine in another location, to avoid damage, transport the washing machine as follows:
4. Reinstall the transport bolts.
5. Attach the power cable to the back of the washing machine.

Suitable location for installation

Location requirements

• The washing machine must be installed on a solid, flat floor; do not place it on a carpet or wooden floor.
• Do not install the washing machine on a base if the location of the base cannot be changed. It must be possible to modify the base if necessary. For example, by enlarging its size or securing it with some kind of support. Never place the washing machine on separate racks. The washing machine may move a little due to some factors such as overloading or moisture in the base, so there is a risk that it may fall off the base during operation.
• Keep the room dry and well ventilated.
• The washing machine must be installed and operated in a room with a drain.
• Never place small appliances such as a microwave or a food processor on top of the washing machine.
• Keep the washing machine away from heat-producing or flammable objects such as candles, cookers, liquefied gas containers, etc.
• Never put pressurised containers on top of the washing machine.
• Never place the appliance over the opening of an uncovered drain.

Space required for installation

• Install the washing machine in such a way that the plug and socket are easily accessible.
• When installing the appliance, make sure that there is sufficient space around it. The following table and figure 4 show the required dimensions:

Warning:

Prevent metal parts of the washing machine from coming into contact with metal sinks or other appliances.

Levelling the washing machine

During the spin process, the washing machine drum rotates at high speed to remove excess water from the laundry at the end of the wash cycle. It is therefore important that the washing machine is level and that all its feet support the same weight. This will help to ensure that the washing machine does not make noise or vibrate during operation. Follow the steps below to ensure that the washing machine is level:

1. Install the appliance on a solid, flat surface.
2. If the floor is irregular (or uneven), adjust the feet as necessary to level the appliance. Do not place any objects under the feet in an attempt to level it.
3. Do not extend the feet more than necessary. The more you lengthen the feet, the more the washing machine will vibrate when in operation. Start by positioning the feet fully rotated and adjust each foot as necessary.
4. Use a spirit level (not supplied) to check that the top part of the appliance is level from side to side and front to back.
5. Press down on each corner of the top of the appliance to ensure that it does not wobble. There must be no play or movement. All feet of the appliance must support the same weight. This is just as important as ensuring that the appliance is level to avoid vibrations.
6. When the appliance is level and does not wobble, lock the feet by tightening the locknuts against the bottom of the washing machine. Make sure to perform this step without changing the height of the feet (hold the feet while tightening the locknuts).

1. After determining which feet need to be adjusted, ask someone to help you lift the appliance slightly to relieve pressure on the foot that needs to be adjusted.
2. Turn the foot to extend it downwards as far as necessary to make the washing machine level.
3. When the height of the foot is correct, use the spanner (provided) to tighten the locknut against the bottom of the appliance to secure the foot in place.

Water supply hose connection

1. Connect one end of the water supply hose to a cold water tap and tighten by hand, as shown in Fig. 6. Before connecting the hose, let water run until it is completely clean.
2. Connect the other end of the hose to the water inlet valve at the rear of the appliance and hand tighten as shown in figure 7.

ENGLISH

1. Open the tap slowly and make sure there are no water leaks.

2. Do not kink, crush, modify or cut the hose.

3. Tighten the end of the hose firmly by hand.
4. The water pressure must be between 0.03 and 1 MPa. If the pressure exceeds this value, a pressure reducing valve (not included) must be installed.
5. If the hose is not long enough, contact a specialist workshop or an authorised technician.
6. Never use water supply hoses that are not new.
7. Use the water supply hose supplied with the appliance.

Types of drain connections

Standpipe

1. Connect the drain hose to the elbow (not provided) as shown in figure 9.
2. Place the elbow on the drain hose 10 cm from the end of the hose as shown in figure 9.
3. Insert the end of the drain hose into the pipe. If the hose is pushed too far into the pipe, the washing machine may self-siphon, i.e. continuously empty while filling. Secure the elbow and hose with a clamp (not included) to prevent the hose from slipping out of the pipe during use.

Sink siphon

Fix the drain hose to the sink siphon with a hose clamp ∅ 20-44 mm (not supplied) as shown in figure 10.

Warning: risk of burns

When washing at high temperatures, contact with the hot foam can cause burns when poured down the sink. Do not touch the hot foam.

Warning: damage to the appliance/damage to textiles

If the end of the drain hose touches the discharged water (water drained from the washing machine), it may be sucked back into the washing machine and damage the appliance or the laundry.

Make sure that:

• The drain in the sink is not plugged.
• The end of the drain hose does not touch the drained water.
• The sink drain is not clogged.

• The drain hose is correctly connected to the sink.

• Do not twist, pull or bend the drain hose.

• Secure the drain hose with the clamp to the pipe, sink, etc., so that it does not come off due to water pressure.
• The use of drain hose extensions is not recommended. If absolutely necessary, the extension should have the same diameter as the original hose and should not exceed 250 cm in length. Fig. 12

Electric connection

Before plugging the appliance into the mains, make sure that:

• The socket is earthed and complies with current legislation.
• The socket can withstand the maximum power of the washing machine, which is indicated on the rating plate on the appliance.
• The supply voltage is included within the values indicated on the rating plate on the appliance.
• When heating up, the maximum current of the washing machine is 10 A, so make sure that the power supply system (voltage, current and cable) corresponds to the power of the appliance.
• The plug of the appliance is compatible with the socket. If this is not the case, the plug or socket must be replaced by a qualified electrician.

Warning: this appliance must be connected to an earthed socket. The following operations must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Replacing the power cable

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with an identical one by the manufacturer or distributor to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Discarding the plug

Before disposing of the plug, be sure to disable the prongs so that it cannot be accidentally inserted into an outlet.

Discarding the appliance

When disposing of the washing machine, remove the plug by cutting the power cable as close as possible to the plug body and dispose of it as described above.

• The appliance is not designed to be operated by external switching devices such as timers or remote control systems.
• When installing the appliance, the plug must be accessible.
• Do not use extension leads, multiple sockets or adapters.
• To remove the plug from the socket, grasp the plug firmly and pull it out. Do not pull from the cable.
• Electrical components must not be accessible to the user after installation.
• Do not connect the appliance to the socket with wet or damp hands.
• Do not use the washing machine when wet or barefoot.
• Never use the appliance if the cable or plug are damaged, if it's not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.

Before the first wash

This washing machine has been subjected to various tests before leaving the factory. This process involves running several washing cycles. As a result, a small amount of water may remain in the drum and drainage system. Run a Drum clean cycle without laundry or detergent to clean the system before your first load of laundry.

4. PREPARATION AND CLASSIFICATION OF GARMENTS

Laundry preparation

WARNING: damage to the appliance/damage to textiles

Foreign objects (e.g. coins, paper clips, needles or nails) could damage the laundry or the components of the appliance. Therefore, please bear in mind the following recommendations when preparing the laundry:

• Read the label on the garments before washing them in the washing machine and follow the instructions.
• Remove any loose or metallic objects such as safety pins, paper clips, etc. from clothing.
• Remove sand, coins, etc. from pockets and cuffs.
• Close zips and button up cushion covers, duvet covers, etc.
• Remove the curtain guides or store the curtains in a washing bag.
• Particularly delicate items, such as stockings or lace curtains; or smaller items, such as

socks or handkerchiefs, should only be washed in a washing bag or pillowcase.

• Some garments are best washed inside out. Turn knitwear, trousers, T-shirts and sweatshirts inside out.
• Make sure to put underwire bras in a cover that can be securely closed with a zip or button. If the wire slips out of the cup, it can leak into the drum ducts and cause serious damage.

Classification of clothing according to colour and soiling degree

Sort the laundry according to colour, soiling degree and recommended washing temperature range.

• Garments may discolour if you do not select the right programme or temperature.
• Never wash new multicoloured garments together with other garments.
• Wash white garments separately from coloured garments. Otherwise, they may discolour or turn grey.

Degree of soiling

Light soiling

No visible dirt or stains but may have absorbed some odour. This could include light summer clothing, such as T-shirts, shirts or blouses that have been worn only once.

Normal soiling

Visible soiling and/or some light staining. This could include clothing such as T-shirts, shirts or blouses that have been sweated or worn several times. Kitchen towels, towels or bed linen used for a week or more. Stain-free curtains that have not been washed for up to half a year.

- Heavy soiling

Visible dirt and stains. This could include kitchen towels, cloth napkins, baby bibs, children's outerwear or football shirts, and grass or dirt stained T-shirts. It could also include work clothes, such as overalls and jeans, and other clothing used for work and outdoor activities.

Classification of clothing according to the specifications of its care label

The symbols on the garment labels will help you to choose the right washing programme, temperature, washing cycles and ironing methods. Do not forget to check the instructions to choose the most suitable programme for your garments.

Control panel

A Washing programmes. Press and hold the power icon ⏻ to switch on the appliance. Then select the desired programme. The indicator light of the selected programme will switch on and the display will show the preset cycle time (see Washing cycle table).

B1. Auto dose icon (detergent): press this icon to activate the smart detergent dosing function. For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the Programmes and functions section.
B2. ▶ Delay End icon: press this icon to set the end time of the washing cycle. For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the Programmes and functions section.
B3. Temperature selection icon: press this icon to change the water temperature of the selected cycle. The selected temperature will be shown on the display.
B4. Spin speed selection icon: press this icon to change the spin speed of the selected cycle. The selected speed will appear on the display.

○ Adding clothes while the programme is in operation

Once the washing cycle has started, if you want to pause it, press and hold this icon. If the door lock indicator light is off, the door can be opened to add or remove laundry from the drum. To resume the washing cycle from the point where it was interrupted, close the door and press the icon again. For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the Programmes and functions section.

Note: if the water level or temperature in the drum is too high, the door lock indicator light will light up. The door cannot be opened, and laundry cannot be added or removed while the programme is operating

B10. ⏻ Power icon: press and hold this icon to switch on or off the appliance.

C Display: use it to programme the washing machine and see the settings.

C1. Child Lock indicator light: if this indicator light is on, it means that the Child Lock function is activated and therefore the control panel is locked (except for the power icon).
C2. Door lock indicator light: if it is on, it indicates that the door is locked. To avoid any damage, wait until the indicator light turns off before opening the door.
C3. Ⓧ Delay End function indicator light: if this indicator light is on, it means that the Delay End function is activated. During the washing cycle, the display will show the countdown with the remaining programme time.
C4. SteamMax function indicator light: if this indicator light is on, it means that the SteamMax function is activated.

C5. OnSmart indicator light: if this indicator light is on, it means that the OnSmart automatic washing cycle is activated.

It is recommended to use: powder detergent from 20 °C to 80 °C and wool detergent from 20 °C to 40 °C.

Wool	For machine washable wool and wool-blend garmentsBefore washing, make sure the garments are machine washable by looking at the label.When the washing cycle is finished, take out the laundry quickly, shake it and put it to dry to prevent it from being deformed by being in the drum for too long.To avoid damage to the laundry, the water temperature should not exceed 40 °C.For best results and to reduce damage to the laundry, use a special detergent for wool and do not fill the drum with more than 1 kg of laundry.
Down	Cycle for washing individual down items (weighing no more than 2 kg), cushions or goose down padded garments such as down jackets. It is recommended that the down items are inserted into the drum with the ends folded inwards (see figure) and that no more than 3/4 of the total volume of the drum is taken up. For best results, it is recommended to use a liquid detergent and add it in the detergent drawer.

Drum Clean Plus	Drum Clean Plus (Automatic drum cleaning)	Cleans the drum by removing dirt and bacteria. Make sure the drum is empty.Switch on the appliance and press the Drum Clean Plus icon to activate the Drum Clean Plus programme (Automatic drum cleaning).
	Drying Channel Cleaning	Special cycle which is only used to remove lint accumulated in the drying hose. Do not add laundry in the drum.After switching on the appliance, but before starting it, select any programme and press and hold the Drum Clean Plus programme icon for 3 seconds to activate the Drying Channel Cleaning programme. The digital display shall show the operating time of the programme (0:05). This programme automatically removes lint accumulated in the drying duct to improve drying efficiency. While the programme is in operation, press and hold the Drum Clean Plus icon for 3 seconds to cancel the programme and activate the Drum Clean Plus programme (automatic drum cleaning). The programme operating time will be shown on the display.Note:do not add laundry or detergent in the drum when either of these two programmes is in operation.
OnSmart (Smart wash)		The OnSmart washing cycle intelligently detects the laundry load and adjusts the washing time and temperature automatically.Once the washing cycle has started,Autowill appear on the display during the detection phase.You can activate the OnSmart programme manually when the appliance is switched off or when the appliance is switched on, but the programme has not started. To do this, press and hold the Start/Pause icon for at least 3 seconds, and the appliance will run the OnSmart washing cycle.

Functions

Delay End

Select the desired washing programme, and before pressing the Start/Pause icon, press and hold the Delay End icon for 3 seconds until the indicator light ⏻ lights up to set the end time of the washing cycle in one hour increments up to a maximum of 24 hours.

ATTENTION: the cycle time duration is included in the selected delay end time.

The following is an example of a cycle with a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes and a delay end time of 8 hours.

ENGLISH

"8 h" will appear on the display and the countdown will start. When 6.5 hours have elapsed, the washing cycle will start (with a duration of 1.5 hours). At this point, the display will show "1:30" and the washing cycle will start. The total time is approximately 8 hours.

To cancel the Delay End function, press any other icon to restart the washing cycle. The indicator light will turn off.

Note:

The Delay End function is not supported by all programmes.

The actual programme end time may vary from the selected delay end time depending on water supply pressure, drainage, type of fabric, water temperature and other factors.

Child Lock

Activating the Child Lock function prevents improper operation by children and external interference in the washing cycle.

1. During operation, press and hold the Spin speed selection icon for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the Child Lock function.
2. Once activated, the ⏻ indicator light will light up. The door cannot be opened, and all control panel functions will be locked (except the Power icon).
3. The appliance can only be switched off by pressing the Power icon. When switched off, the Child Lock function will be cancelled.

SteamMax (Steam washing)

This is a cycle designed to wash cotton garments that do not fade. Steam washing reduces creases in the laundry and provides the ideal degree of humidity, which makes ironing easier. In addition, it effectively penetrates each garment to sterilise it and eliminate any odours.

Auto dose function (detergent)

1. Press the Power icon to switch on the machine, select the desired washing programme and then press the Auto dose function icon. The corresponding detergent dosing level will be shown on the display.
2. Press the Auto dose function icon 📋 to adjust the amount of detergent dosed. Each press will increase by 1 level. There are 5 levels of adjustment available, which can be changed cyclically:

Au (automatic) → L1 (low) → L2 (medium) → L3 (high) → off (dosing deactivated)

1. Once the Auto dose function is activated and the setting level is selected, if it detects that the detergent level is insufficient, the indicator light will light up red and remain on.

Interior light

The light inside the machine will always be on while selecting a programme or a function. If you cancel the programme, the interior light will switch on again when you open the door. While the programme is in operation, the interior light will turn on automatically every time the washing phase changes.

Pressing any icon (except the Power icon) will also turn on the interior light.

Load Balancing System (Smooth Wash)

The washing machine has an automatic eccentric load detection system. During the spinning process, if the laundry is unevenly distributed, the appliance will level and adjust the laundry until it is evenly distributed before spinning. If the laundry cannot be evenly distributed within the specified time, the appliance will not spin to avoid excessive vibrations. If this happens, check if the laundry is tangled or snagged and select Spin programme.

When you wash less laundry, such as a pair of jeans, a jumper, a bath towel, etc., the machine may not complete the spin process due to balance protection. We recommend that you wash larger and smaller laundry together as much as possible so that the laundry is evenly distributed, and the spin process can be completed smoothly.

Note: due to the different types and materials of laundry, the automatic balancing system of the appliance can level and adjust the laundry several times to extend the spinning time. This is a normal phenomenon, not fault of the washing machine.

Using the washing machine

1. Load the laundry

Open the door and load the laundry. Load the items one at a time into the drum, without overfilling it. Please note the load sizes indicated in the "Washing cycle table". Overload may result in unsatisfactory washing and wrinkled clothes.

2. Close the door

Make sure that clothes do not get caught between the door glass and the rubber seal. Close the door properly, you will hear a click.

3. Open the tap

Make sure that the washing machine is connected to the water supply. Open the tap.

4. Select the desired programme

Press and hold the Power icon to switch on the appliance. Then select the desired programme. The indicator light of the selected programme will turn on and the display will show the preset duration of the washing cycle as well as the temperature and spin speed settings available for the selected programme. Adjust the temperature and/or spin speed settings, if necessary, with the corresponding icons

- Set the temperature

Press the temperature selection icon to progressively decrease the value until cold wash is set ("---" will be shown on the display). Pressing the icon again will set the highest setting available.

- Set the spin speed

Press the Spin speed selection icon to progressively decrease the spin speed until the spin cycle is switched off ("--" will be shown on the display). Pressing the icon again will set the highest setting available.

- Select options

Press the icon of the option you wish to select; the corresponding indicator light will light up. Press the icon again to cancel the selected option, the corresponding indicator light will switch off.

- If the selected option is not compatible with the set programme, the incompatibility will be signalled by a beep, and the indicator light of the corresponding option will flash.

- If the selected option is incompatible with a previously configured option, only the most recent selection shall remain active.

5. Add detergent

Slide open the detergent drawer and add detergent (and additives/fabric softener) into the appropriate compartments as shown below.

4. Add an appropriate amount of liquid or powder detergent. If you add too much, the foam will overflow. Refer to the instructions on the packaging of the detergent you use.

5. Do not add any detergent to the detergent compartment when using the Auto dose function.
6. Open the Auto dose compartment lid and fill it with liquid detergent. Do not exceed the MAX mark. The Auto dose compartment can hold a large amount of detergent, so you do not need to add it every time. Close the lid of this compartment once it has been filled.
7. When adding fabric softener, make sure not to exceed the "MAX" mark.
8. Do not open the detergent compartment after washing to avoid overflow of water or foam.
9. After switching on the appliance, press the Auto dose function icon to activate the smart dosing. The machine will automatically detect the amount of detergent remaining in the

corresponding compartment. If the amount is insufficient, the Auto dose indicator light will turn red and stay on. Add more liquid detergent.

6. Start the programme

• Press the Start/Pause icon. The corresponding indicator light will light up, the door will lock, and the Door lock indicator light will light up too.
• To avoid overflows, do not open the detergent drawer while a programme is in operation.
• The remaining duration of the programme may vary. Factors such as imbalance in the wash load or foam formation may affect the programme duration.

7. Changing the settings of an ongoing programme

You can continue to change the settings while the programme is in operation. The changes shall be implemented as long as the respective programme phase has not been completed yet.

To change the settings of an ongoing programme:

1. Press the Start/Pause icon to pause the washing programme that is in operation.
2. Change the settings.
3. Press the Start/Pause icon again to resume the programme.
4. If you have changed the programme, do not add detergent again.
5. To prevent a running programme from being accidentally modified (e.g. by children), activate the Child Lock.

8. Pausing an ongoing programme and opening the door

• Press the Start/Pause icon to pause the washing programme that is in operation.
• If the water level or temperature in the drum is not too high, the Door Lock indicator light will switch off. You can open the door, for example, to add more laundry or to remove laundry that has been loaded by mistake. Press the Start/Pause icon again to resume the programme.

9. Cancelling an ongoing programme

• To switch off the appliance, press the Power icon.
• If the water level and/or temperature is not high, the door will unlock and can be opened.
• The door will remain locked if the water level in the drum is high. To unlock the door, switch on the appliance by pressing and holding the Power icon. Then, select the Spin programme and deactivate the Spin option by pressing the Spin speed selection icon repeatedly until “---” appears on the display.
• Press the Start/Pause icon to start the Spin programme. The door will unlock at the end of the programme.

10. Switching off the appliance when a programme ends

• At the end of the cycle, the word "END" is shown on the digital display.
• The door can only be opened when the door lock indicator light switches off.
• Check that the door lock indicator light is off. Then, open the door and take out the laundry.
• To switch off the appliance, press the Power icon.
• Close the tap.
• Leave the door ajar to allow the inside of the appliance to dry.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Read the following instructions to maintain and protect your washing machine and keep it in optimal working conditions.

Warning: risk of electric shock

• To avoid the risk of electric shock, always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning.
• Do not clean the appliance with a pressure washer.

Cutting off water and electricity supplies

• Close the water tap after each washing cycle. This will limit wear on the hydraulic system and help prevent leaks.
• Unplug the appliance when cleaning and during any maintenance work.

Cleaning the outside of the washing machine

Warning: risk of explosion

To avoid the risk of explosion, never clean the washing machine with flammable solvents.

Clean the exterior surface, when necessary, as follows:

• Use warm soapy water or a mild (non-abrasive) cleaning product.
• Use a soft cloth to dry it.
• Dispose of waste immediately.
• Do not use high-pressure sprayers.

Cleaning the drum

• Metal debris left in the drum can cause rust stains.
• Never use steel wool pads to try to remove them.
• Use a non-chlorine cleaning product and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Descaling the washing machine

• If you use the correct amounts of detergent, you do not need to descale the washing machine.
• If it is necessary to descale the drum of the appliance, follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the descaling product.
• Small amounts of descaling agent can be used to remove white stains on the washing machine drum caused by limescale or mineral deposits or small amounts of rust caused by metal objects left in the drum.

ATTENTION: descaling agents contain acids which can attack parts of the appliance and discolour the laundry.

Door and drum care

- Always leave the door ajar to prevent odours from forming.

Checking the water supply hose

- Check the water supply hose at least once a year. If there are any cracks, it must be replaced immediately. Water pressure is very strong, and a cracked water supply hose could easily burst open.

- Never use water supply hoses that are not new.

Cleaning the detergent drawer. Fig. 16

Clean the detergent drawer regularly to avoid clogging of the detergent powder and fabric softener compartments, which would affect the detergent output to the drum. To do so, follow the instructions below:

1. Slide open the detergent drawer fully. Press down the locking catch on the drawer and remove it from the washing machine housing.
2. Wash the detergent powder and fabric softener compartments with tap water and remove detergent residues.
3. Put the drawer back in place.

Note: during the cleaning process, do not open the liquid detergent compartment or tilt or turn the detergent drawer to prevent it from slipping out.

Tip: do not use the appliance without the detergent drawer in place. Always keep the drawer completely closed.

Cleaning the water supply hose mesh filter. Fig. 17

1. Close the water inlet tap and unscrew the water supply hose.
2. Carefully clean the mesh filter at the end of the hose with a fine brush.
3. Next, unscrew the water supply hose at the back of the washing machine by hand. Remove the mesh filter from the water inlet valve at the back of the washing machine with pliers and clean it carefully.
4. Replace the mesh filter. Reconnect the water supply hose to the tap and washing machine. Do not use any tools to connect the inlet hose. Open the water tap and check that all connections are tight.

Cleaning the drain pump

Warning: risk of burns

Risk of skin lesions from hot water.

You are responsible for ensuring that all safety precautions are followed when draining water from the machine and/or manually opening the door.

It may be necessary to clean the drain pump if the washing machine does not drain (no sound of water pumping from the appliance when it should be draining, but other nearby drains, such as a sink, drain properly).

The pump can become clogged with loose debris (a good reason to check the drum and remove any visible debris after each load). Fabrics that shed large amounts of lint can also cause blockages.

To access the drain pump, the maintenance cover must first be opened (see following steps). Once you have opened the maintenance cover, proceed as follows:

1. If the appliance has not drained, try draining it. Choose the Spin cycle. Next, press the Spin speed selection icon several times until "00:00" appears on the display. After that, press the Start/Pause icon. Wait a few moments for the cycle to empty the water from the drum. If the pump is totally blocked, the appliance will not be able to drain, and the cycle will end.
2. Turn off the tap so that no more water enters and needs to be drained. Switch off the appliance. Unplug the appliance from the mains.
3. Open the drain filter cover.
4. Use the removable drain hose located on the pump access opening to drain the remaining water into a suitable container (up to 20 litres of water can be drained). Remove the plug from the hose and place it over the side of a suitable container and allow the water to drain out of the drum. When finished, replace the plug on the end of the hose and put it back in place.
5. Turn the pump cover counterclockwise to remove it. A small amount of residual water

may flow out when the cover is removed. Clean the inside of the pump hose, removing any debris or foreign objects. Check that the impeller at the rear of the pump housing can rotate freely. Remove any lint, dirt or detergent residue from the pump cover. Reinstall the pump cover by screwing it firmly into position. The part that allows the cover to be opened must be vertical.

1. Close the drain filter cover. Clean up any spilled water.

8. TROUBLESHOOTING

The washing machine may occasionally stop working. Before contacting the official Cecotec Technical Support Service, please refer to the following section.

Problem	Cause/Possible solution
There are coloured stains and oil stains on the drum	Run a Drum Clean Plus washing cycle without detergent and laundry.
Bad smells	Due to the use of rubber parts, the machine will have a rubber smell at the beginning of use, but the rubber smell will gradually disappear during use.
The door cannot be opened	The safety protection function is in operation and the water temperature and/or water level are too high.
	The programme ended normally, but there was a power cut.
	If the Child lock function is activated, deactivate it.
	If the Delay End function is activated, deactivate it.
Water spillage in the detergent drawer	The drawer is blocked with detergent and requires cleaning.
	The water pressure is too high and needs to be lowered; close the tap on the water supply pipe slightly and try again.
	The appliance is tilted forward (it must be level).
Water leaks (other than from the detergent drawer)	Water supply hose is loose, check connections.
	Water supply hose is tight but still leaks; if so, replace the rubber washers, or the water supply hose does not have the rubber washer.
	The drain hose is not positioned correctly.
	In case of water leakage inside the machine, turn off the power supply and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
The washing machine does not switch on	Appliance is not fully plugged in or not plugged in enough to make contact.
	There is no power at the socket or there is a problem with the fuses.
Washing cycle does not start	The door is not properly closed.
	You did not press the Power icon.
	You have not pressed the Start/Pause icon.
	The water tap has not been turned on to allow water to flow into the appliance.
	The Delay End function has been activated.
No water or detergent enters the drum. Error “E02” appears on the display	Water supply hose is kinked or bent.
	The water supply hose is not connected to the water supply.
	The water pressure is too low.
	The water tap has not been opened to allow water to flow into the machine.
	There is no water supply in the dwelling.
	The mesh filter in the water supply hose and/or the water inlet valve is/are blocked.

Water discharge when the programme starts	This is not an issue. Do not open the door to pour water directly into the drum before the programme is run, otherwise the machine may discharge the water that was poured into the drum when the programme was started.
The water level is too low when the machine is washing	This is not an issue. The water consumption in the wash cycle of this appliance is relatively small, the water level in the wash cycle is lower than that of other types of washing machines.
Overfilling of water during operation of the washing cycle	If the water level drops, the machine will automatically recover the water.
	When the amount of laundry to be washed is too large, the appliance can automatically fill the water several times during the operation of the washing cycle.
Too much foam in the drum or foam overflows from the detergent drawer	The detergent is not suitable for machine washing (must show the text “for washing machines” or “hand and machine wash” or similar).
	Too much detergent was used; less detergent is required in soft water.
The spin phase is repeated several times	Due to different types and materials of laundry, the load balancing system of the appliance may wobble and scatter the laundry many times to extend the spin time. This is a normal phenomenon, not an incidence of the machine.
Machine does not spin	No spin speed has been selected. The display shows “—”.
The machine vibrates a lot during the spin cycle	The feet have not been adjusted, causing the machine to wobble.
	If you have just installed the appliance: the transport bolts, including the plastic spacer, or the polystyrene packaging have not been removed when installing the machine.
	The appliance is trapped between furniture and/or walls.
	The load is slightly unbalanced, and the device is rotating, but at a slower speed.
Spinning result is not optimal	When you wash less laundry, such as a pair of jeans, a jumper, a bath towel, etc., the machine may not complete the spin phase due to balance protection.
	If the load is slightly unbalanced, the appliance will spin, but at a lower speed, not at the cycle's default spin speed or the spin speed setting for the cycle.The top of the drain hose is too high. It should be installed at a height of 65-100 cm from the ground.
Machine does not drain, drains slowly or “E03” appears on the display
	The draining pump filter is blocked.
	Drain hose is kinked or bent.
	Drain hose is blocked or frozen.
The washing programme time stops counting before entering the high-speed spin process	This is not an issue. The load balancing system of the appliance wobbles and disperses the laundry in the drum for a long time to achieve balance and complete the spin at high speed. In the tumbling and spreading process, the programme time stops counting before the appliance reaches the high-speed spin process.
Washing programme lasts too long	Programme times will vary due to water pressure, incoming water temperature, and if the load is unbalanced. As a result, the programme times will increase (see “Spin cycle repeats several times”).
Excessive noise	There will always be some noise from the motor, pump and drum during spinning.
	The washing machine touches other objects.
	Foreign objects, such as hairpins or metal objects, fall into the drum.
The machine is continuously filled with water and continuously emptied	The top of the drain hose is too low. It should be installed at a height of 65-100 cm from the floor.
	The end of the drain hose has been pushed too far down into the standpipe; the hose elbow must be installed 100 mm from the end of the drain hose.
	The end of the drain hose is submerged in the discharged water.
The drained water returns to the apparatus	If the end of the drain hose touches the discharged water (water drained from the washing machine), it (the discharged water) may be sucked back into the appliance and damage the appliance or garments.
Control panel gets hot	This is a slight heating effect of the electronic components on the PCB board installed on the back of the control panel.
After drying, there are drops of water on the door and drum	During drying, water droplets may accumulate on the door. Clean them.
	Do not put too many clothes or heavy items.
General issues	Your appliance contains sensors that monitor progress during the washing cycle (e.g. water level, temperature, unbalanced loads, washing time/progress). Normally, if your appliance completes the cycle successfully, it is unlikely that there will be a problem.

In the event of any of the following faults occurring, they shall be detected by the microcomputer system. The washing machine will beep, and the following fault codes will be displayed:

E02	No water inlet	Is the tap open? Has the water supply been cut off? Are the water supply hose mesh filter and water inlet valve blocked? Is the water supply hose frozen? If the answer is yes, try to solve the problems yourself. If the error code is still displayed, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
E03	Abnormal drainage	Clean the pump filter.Check if the drain hose is bent, kinked or clogged. If the problem persists, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
U4	Door fault	The door may not be properly closed. Close the door again and then press the Power icon to switch off the washing machine. Next, turn it back on and press the Start/Pause icon to restart the programme. If the problem persists, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
H	Drum temperature is high	Press the Start/Pause icon to suspend operation of the appliance and wait a few minutes. When the drum temperature drops to a safe range and the fault code disappears from the display, press the Start/Pause icon to restart the programme. If the problem persists, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
FXXX	The concentration of negative ions in the drum is too high	Press the Start/Pause icon to suspend operation of the appliance and wait a few minutes. When the negative ion charge in the drum drops to a safe range and the fault code disappears from the display, press the Start/Pause icon to restart the programme. If the problem persists, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
EXX	Other faults	Switch off the appliance by pressing the Power icon. Then, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

Note: make sure to check the cause of the fault and solve it before pressing the Start/Pause icon again. If the fault code disappears, the washing machine will continue to operate. If the error code is still displayed, unplug the power cable and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
