Frequently Asked Questions - OPC A01 070HP OPTIMEA

How to correctly install the Optimea OPC A01 070HP 1 portable air conditioner?
Place the unit near a window or door to exhaust hot air through the provided exhaust kit. Ensure the hose is not bent and that the air outlet is properly directed outside. Plug the unit into a 230 V outlet.
How to drain the condensation water?
The 1.5 L tank must be emptied regularly. In dehumidification mode, condensation accumulates faster. You can also connect a continuous drain hose (not supplied) for permanent drainage.
What is the noise level of the air conditioner?
The noise level is approximately 55 dB(A) at full power, which corresponds to the sound of a normal conversation. It can be reduced in night mode or low speed.
How to clean the air filter?
Turn off and unplug the unit. Open the rear grille, remove the filter and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse, dry completely before reinstalling. Clean every 2 weeks to maintain efficiency.
The remote control is not working, what should I do?
Check that the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge. Replace the batteries with new ones. Point the remote control towards the receiver on the unit. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
How to use the programmable timer?
Press the 'Timer' button to set a delay for turning on or off. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the time (from 1 to 24 h). The unit will automatically turn on or off at the scheduled time.
What is the power consumption of the air conditioner?
In cooling mode, the consumption is approximately 1000 W, i.e., 1 kWh per hour of operation. The energy class is A, ensuring good efficiency.
Can I use the air conditioner in dehumidifier-only mode?
Yes, select the 'Dry' mode on the remote or control panel. In this mode, the unit operates with low fan speed and removes humidity from the air without excessive cooling.
What to do if the unit displays an error code?
Consult the manual for the meaning of codes. Common errors indicate a full water tank, dirty filter, or overheating. Resolve the issue (drain the tank, clean the filter, wait for cooling) and restart the unit.
How to store the air conditioner in winter?
Completely empty the water tank and condensation circuit. Clean and dry the filter. Store the unit in a dry, dust-free place, preferably in its original packaging.

OPTIMEA OPC A01 070HP - Control Panel Operating Instructions - 1

① Power ON/OFF ② Mode ③ Sleep ④ “Down” ⑤ “Up” ⑥ Speed ⑦ Timer

When the unit is powered on for the first time, the buzzer sounds and the unit enters standby mode.

① Power ON/OFF :

Turn the air conditioner on or off. If the unit is off, press the button to switch it on. If it is on, press the button to switch it off.

② Mode Selection :

When the unit is powered on, press this button to switch between the modes: Cooling → Dehumidification → Fan → Heating → Cooling → ...

Sleep mode ensures continuous operation adapted to rest periods and environments where comfort and energy efficiency are a priority. In this mode, the fan operates at low speed and the compressor is activated only when the room temperature exceeds the set temperature, then stops as soon as the setpoint is reached. This automatic regulation maintains stable conditions while limiting energy consumption, thus ensuring optimal comfort with economical use of the unit.

④ ⑤ Down and Up Buttons :

Press these buttons to adjust the temperature or the timer setting:

  • For temperature adjustment, press UP or DOWN to set the desired temperature (not available in Fan or Dehumidification mode).
  • For timer adjustment, press UP or DOWN to set the desired number of hours.

⑥ Fan Speed Selection :

  • Cooling: when the unit is on, press this button to activate cooling mode.
  • Fan: when the unit is on, press this button to activate fan mode.
  • Heating: when the unit is on, press this button to activate heating mode.
  • Dehumidification: this button is not functional; the fan will automatically run at low speed.

⑦ Timer :

If the timer is off, press this button to activate it. If it is on, press again to deactivate it. When the timer indicator flashes, use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the desired time. The setting range is from 1 to 24 hours, adjustable in 1-hour increments.

2. remote control operating instructions

The remote control is as follows :
OPTIMEA OPC A01 070HP - remote control operating instructions - 1

  1. "Power On/Off"
  2. "Timer"
  3. "Down" to lower the temperature or set the timer

  5. "Up" to increase the temperature or set the timer
  6. "Speed" to select low or high fan speed
  7. "Sleep" to activate the sleep function

5. Safety devices

1. Anti-freeze protection

In cooling or energy-saving mode, if the exhaust pipe temperature becomes too low, the air conditioner will automatically switch to safety mode. Once the exhaust pipe temperature rises again, the unit will automatically resume operation.

2. Overflow protection

When the water level in the tank exceeds the alert threshold, the air conditioner will automatically emit an audible alarm, and the “FULL” indicator will flash. You must then move the drainage hose and connect the unit to a drain or another suitable drainage area to empty the water (for more details, refer to the Drainage Instructions section at the end of this chapter). Once the water has been drained, the air conditioner will automatically resume operation.

WARNING : When using the cooling mode under very high temperatures combined with particularly high humidity, we recommend using the continuous drainage function (see Chapter VI: Drainage Instructions, Section 2: Continuous Drainage) to prevent possible tank overflows.

3. Automatic Defrost

In heating mode, the unit features an automatic defrost function. After defrosting, the unit will automatically return to its previous state.

4. Overheating Protection

To extend the service life of the unit, it is equipped with overheating protection in heating mode. During the protection period, the compressor and lower motor stop operating and will automatically return to normal heating mode once the unit's temperature has stabilized.

6. Installation and adjustments

1. Installation

Caution : The air conditioner must remain in a vertical position for at least two hours before use. The unit can be easily moved to the desired location. During transportation, always keep it upright and place it on a flat surface. Do not install the unit in a bathroom or any other humid environment.
