My PC cannot find a driver for the Kidizoom camera. What should I do?
No specific driver is needed. The Kidizoom uses a standard USB mass storage device driver, included in Windows 2000 SP3, XP, Vista and Mac OS 9.0 or higher. If your PC still asks for a driver, contact your computer manufacturer.
Why are my photos sometimes blurry or grainy?
In a low-light environment, the shutter speed decreases to let in more light, which can cause blur if there is movement. Try improving the lighting. Newer models have better low-light sensitivity.
Can I delete multiple photos at once on the device?
Yes, by connecting the device to a computer via USB, you can select and delete multiple files in the 'photo' folder of the removable disk 'VTech 1069'.
Does changing batteries erase internal memory?
No, normal battery replacement does not affect photos stored in internal memory. However, regularly back up your data to avoid any loss.
How can I improve close-up image quality?
For close-ups, use the 'Weak Flash On' mode to avoid overexposure. Refer to the optimal distance table in the manual (page 9).
The device turns on and then immediately off. What should I do?

No, the Kidizoom does not write a date in the photo file. Windows automatically adds a date during transfer, but it can only be modified with third-party software.

Use a paperclip to press the Reset button on the back of the device. Photos are not erased, but language and volume return to default settings.
Can I transfer photos from the computer to the device?
Yes, connect the device via USB, then drop JPEG files into the root folder (not in the 'photo' folder) to display them on the device.
What type of batteries should I use and how long do they last?
Use 4 new AA alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Battery life depends on usage (flash, games). Remove batteries if the device is not used for a long time.
