Frequently Asked Questions - POIM5000 Point

How do I start making ice for the first time?
Plug in the machine, fill the water tank with fresh water, select the ice cube size (small or large), and press the On/Off button. The first batch takes about 10-15 minutes.
How often should I clean the ice machine?
We recommend running a self-cleaning cycle every 3 months or as needed. Use a mixture of water and white vinegar or a descaling solution. Refer to the manual for step-by-step instructions.
What should I do if the ice machine stops producing ice?
Check if the water tank is empty, the ice basket is full, or the machine is in defrost mode. Also verify that the ambient temperature is between 10°C and 32°C. If the problem persists, contact support.
Can I use the machine outdoors?
No, this ice machine is designed for indoor use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
How do I change the ice cube size?
Press the Size button on the control panel. Small cycles produce smaller, softer ice, while large cycles produce bigger, harder ice. The setting stays until changed.
What does the 'Add Water' indicator mean?
The Add Water LED turns on when the water level is too low. Refill the tank with fresh water up to the MAX line. The machine will resume automatically.
How long does it take to make a batch of ice?
Typically, the first batch takes about 10-15 minutes. Subsequent cycles may be faster. Production time depends on ice size and room temperature.
Is it normal for the ice to have a slight odor?
A new machine may have a slight plastic smell for the first few runs. Discard the first 2-3 batches. If the odor persists, clean the machine with a vinegar solution.
How do I store the machine when not in use?
Unplug the machine and drain all water from the tank and hose. Clean and dry all surfaces. Store in a cool, dry place.
What does the 'Full' indicator mean?
The Ice Full indicator lights up when the ice basket is at capacity. The machine stops making ice until you remove some ice. This prevents overflow.
