GARDENA Electric Hedge Trimmer EHT 410 / EHT 480 Welcome to the Garden of GARDENA … Translation of the original instructions from German. Please read these operating instructions carefully and observe the notes given. Use the instructions to familiarise yourself with the equipment, the operating controls, their correct use, and the notes on safety. For safety reasons, children under 16 as well as persons not familiar with these operating instructions should not use this Hedge Trimmer. Persons with reduced physical or mental abilties may use the product only if they are supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place. Where to Use Your Hedge Trimmer Intended purpose Compliance with the operating instructions Attention The GARDENA Hedge Trimmers are designed for cutting hedges in domestic gardens and allotments. The operating instructions also include the conditions for opera- tion, repair and maintenance. For portable units which are used outdoors, we recommend to use a residual-current device having a residual-current rating < 30 mA. In Switzerland use of a residual-current device is obligatory. Never carry the Hedge Trimmer by its cable. Never use the cable to pull the connector plug out of the mains socket. Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges. Cable lock / Extension Cable Make part of the extension cable into a loop and clip into the cable lock: + prevents the cables being unplugged by accident.
