Start-up guide

With Barbie Magic Ballroom Bag, you will be most beautiful princess ever. This bag will follow any of your movements producing magic effects, wonderful flashing lights, fairylike sound effects and dreamlike melodies.

Before you start playing with Barbie's magic ballroom bag, please read the following instructions to help you discover the fairyhood surrounding the life of a Barbie princess, and request the assistance of an adult in order to read and understand the safety warnings.

1- Open your magic ballroom bag by lifting the butterfly-shaped lock. Lift the Velcro-attached padding located at the bottom of the bag to reveal the plastic casing. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment, and install 3 x AAA batteries.

2- Inside your magic ballroom bag, towards the bottom, you will find two buttons. Move the button located foremost to the "LOW" or "HIGH" position in order to switch the magic ballroom bag on. If you move the button to the position "LOW", the volume will be low, whereas if you move it to "HIGH", the volume will be loud. When you finish playing, do not forget to return the button to the position "OFF" in order to switch your magic ballroom bag off and save batteries.

3- If you wish some wonderful magic effects to follow all your movements, move the button located rearmost to one of the following positions:

to activate the wonderful flashing lights
- to listen to fairylike sound effects
to dance to the rhythm of dreamlike melodies.

4- Once you stop moving, your magic ballroom bag goes automatically into standby mode.

Installing the batteries

Barbie Magic Ballroom Bag operates using 3 × 1.5V - - - LR03/AAA alkaline batteries.

1. Open the magic ballroom bag and lift the Velcro-attached padding located at the bottom of the bag in order to reveal the plastic casing. Use a screwdriver to open undo the screw and open the battery compartment.
2. Install the 3 × LR03/AAA batteries observing carefully the polarity indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment, and as per the diagram shown opposite.
3. Close back the battery compartment and retighten the screw.

Do not use rechargeable batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.

Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the game for a long period of time.

WARNING: If the unit malfunctions or receives an electrostatic shock, turn the unit off and on again. If this proves to be ineffective, remove the batteries and insert them again.

1. 3-way switch used to select the operating mode: Flashing lights, sound effects, or melodies.

2. OFF/LOW/HIGH button used to switch the bag OFF, turn it on at a low volume (LOW), and to turn it on at a high volume (HIGH).

3. Battery compartment opening.

Maintenance

Only use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the unit. Do not use detergent. Do not to expose the unit to direct sunlight or any other heat source. Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not dismantle or drop the unit. Do not try to twist or bend the unit. If the unit malfunctions, try to change the batteries first. If this proves to be ineffective, read the instruction manual again.

This product is covered by our 2-year warranty.

For any claim under the warranty or after sale service, please contact your distributor and present a valid proof of purchase. Our warranty covers any manufacturing material and workmanship defect, with the exception of any deterioration arising from the non-observation of the instruction manual or from any careless action implemented on this item (such as dismantling, exposition to heat and humidity, etc.). It is recommended to keep the packaging for any further reference. Not suitable for children under 36 months old, as it contains small detachable elements which could be swallowed.
