Frequently Asked Questions - AD781ZT ETNA
How to install the Etna AD781ZT hood?
Installation must be carried out by a professional. The hood can be fixed to the wall or under a cabinet. Maintain a minimum distance of 65 cm between the hood and an electric hob, 75 cm for a gas hob. Ensure the extraction duct is properly connected (diameter 150 mm) or that the charcoal filters are in place for recirculation mode.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminium grease filters are dishwasher safe (65°C program) or can be hand washed with warm soapy water. Let them dry completely before reinstalling. Monthly maintenance is recommended to ensure the hood's efficiency.
Why is my hood making noise?
Excessive noise can be due to a dirty grease filter, blocked duct, or rigid installation. Check that the filters are clean and the duct is not bent. Normal noise level is 45 to 65 dB depending on speed.
How to replace the LED bulbs?
Unplug the hood. Open the cover or remove the frame. The LED bulbs are clipped or screwed. Replace them with identical ones (2 W, GU10 base). Close carefully before plugging back.
How often to replace the charcoal filter?
The charcoal filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on usage. It is not washable. A saturation indicator may be present on some models; check the manual.
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
First check the electrical supply (circuit breaker, plug). If the hood is powered, the problem may be with the motor or switch. Contact an authorized repairer. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
Can the hood be used in recirculation mode without a duct?
Yes, the Etna AD781ZT hood can operate in recirculation mode. You must install a charcoal filter kit (sold separately). The air is filtered and then returned to the room.
What is the difference between extraction and recirculation?
In extraction mode, air is expelled outside via a duct. In recirculation mode, it passes through a charcoal filter before being reintroduced into the kitchen. Recirculation is suitable for kitchens without extraction possibility.
How to adjust the speeds?
Use the mechanical sliders on the front: position 1 for silent use, position 3 for strong odours. An intensive (boost) position is available for maximum extraction for 5 minutes.
Can I order spare parts for this hood?
Yes, grease filters, charcoal filters and bulbs are available from authorized Etna dealers or online. Use the reference AD781ZT to order.
