Read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and preserve this booklet for later reference. Pass the manual on to whomsoever might acquire the appliance at a later date.
Intended Use
- This appliance is not for commercial or outdoor use.
- The electric water kettle is exclusively suitable for heating water and may not be used for heating other liquids.

Safety instructions
- Use the electric water kettle only for the intended purpose and in accordance with this user manual.
⚠️ Danger of electrical shock
- Make sure that the base with the electrical connections does not come into contact with water! Let the base dry completely before using, should it ever accidentally become wet.
- Make sure that the power cord never becomes wet or damp during operation. Lay the cord such that it cannot be pinched or otherwise damaged.
- Read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and preserve this booklet for later reference. Pass the manual on to whomsoever might acquire the appliance at a later date.
- Always pull the plug out of the power socket after use. Switching off the device is not sufficient because the device receives power as long as the power plug is connected to the socket.
- Use the appliance only if the local mains voltage complies with the rated voltage of the appliance (230 V for 50 Hz).
⚠️ Fire hazard! / Risk of injury!
- Always heat the water with a closed lid, otherwise the automatic cut out may not work. Boiling water can then spray out over the edge.
- Hot vapours may leak out and the electric water kettle may be very hot while in operation. It is always best to wear oven mitts when handling the kettle.
- Make sure that the appliance is placed on a stable and vertical base, before you switch on the appliance. Boiling water can cause an unstabile kettle to fall over.
- Do not leave a heat generating appliance unsupervised!
- Do not allow individuals (including children) to use the appliance whose physical, sensorial or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge hinder their safe usage of it if they have not previously been supervised or instructed in its correct usage.
- Tell children about the appliance and its potential dangers so that they do not play with it.
- Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance.
You can thus prevent the appliance from being damaged
- Use the kettle ⑦ only in the base station provided for the same ⑥. Do not use the base station ⑥ for any other purposes.
- Do not expose the base station ⑥ to any liquids and protect it from splashes.
- Do not separate the kettle ⑦ from the base station ⑥ while the appliance is in operation. Always switch off the appliance first.
- An improper use or handling of the appliance may lead the appliance to malfunction and cause injuries to the user.
- No liabilities shall be accepted for damages caused by improper or wrong use.
Before the First Use

Remove all the packaging material!

Clean the kettle ⑦, by pouring water into it and bringing it to a boil (See "Boiling water"). Pour out the water and repeat the process.
Operation

Pull the power cord out only as much as is necessary. Pull it out by opening the base station ⑥ and connect the plugs with an appropriate power socket.

Open the lid and fill in with the desired quantity of water. Please note the level indicator ⑤ of the appliance.
Fill the kettle ⑦...
- atleast up to the MIN mark, so as not to overheat the electric water kettle.
- no higher than the MAX mark so that no boiling water spills out.

Close the lid and place the appliance on the base station ⑥. The appliance can only be switched on if it is fixed to the base station.

Keep the On/Off switch ④ on „☐”- position. The appliance begins to operate, the indicator lamp ③ begins to flash.

If the water is boiling the appliance switches off automatically. The On/Off switch ④ automatically moves to the "O" position, the indicator lamp ③ turns off.

If you want to stop or interrupt the boiling process, keep the On/Off switch ④ on the "O" position.
However, you can continue the boiling process by waiting for 20 seconds until the heating element has cooled off. You can then switch on the appliance once again.
During the cooling phase, do not press the on/off switch ④, as this can damage the appliance.
- While the appliance is not in use, unplug the power cord from the socket, so as to prevent the appliance from an inadvertent start.
Note: The appliance has a safety device. This switches off the heating element, if the appliance is switched on when empty or is cooking dry. In such a condition, allow the appliance to cool off completely, before pouring in water again.
For safety reasons and to avoid injuries do not open the lid when the water is boiling or very hot.
Cleaning
i Please follow the safety instructions as well.
Always unplug the power cord from the socket, before cleaning the appliance ⑥. Allow the kettle ⑦ to cool down completely.
- Clean the outer side of the kettle and the base station with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive materials.
- Decalcify the appliance at regular intervals. For this use a decalcifying agent available with specialised dealers.
Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European guideline 2002/96/EC.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
Warranty & Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. This appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase date. Should a claim need to be made under the warranty, please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
The warranty covers ONLY claims for material and manufacturing defects, not for wearing or consumable or for damage to fragile components. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
The warranty will become void in the event of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried or approved by our authorized service branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
