- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years old and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep this appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or appropriate instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
- Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

- Instruction manual Before using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean it. To do this, fill it as full as possible with water and bring it to the boil. When the water is boiling, discard it. Repeat the process a second time. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the outer surface.
- Note: the kettle's maximum capacity is 1.7 l.

3. OPERATION
- Place the kettle on a flat surface.
- To fill it, first remove it from the base and open the lid. Then, add the desired amount of water and close the lid. The water level must be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks. If the water level does not exceed the "MIN" mark, the kettle will switch off before the water boils.
Note: do not fill the kettle above the "MAX" mark, as water may spill out of the spout while boiling. Make sure the cover is well placed before plugging the appliance into the mains.
- Place the kettle on the base.
- Connect the power cable to a plug socket. Next, switch on the kettle by operating the lever. It will start up and start boiling the water. The kettle and the indicator light will automatically switch off when the water has boiled. If you wish to boil the water again, wait at least 30 seconds before operating the lever again. You can turn the kettle off at any time by operating the lever or by removing it from the base.
Note: make sure that there is nothing obstructing the lever and that the lid is securely in place. Otherwise, the kettle will not start.
- Lift the kettle from the base and pour out the water.
Note: be careful when pouring water, as you may burn yourself. Do not open the kettle cover while the water is hot.
- The kettle will not start again until you press the lever again. You can leave the kettle on the base when not in use.
Note: remember to always unplug the appliance if you are not going to use it.
Dry boiling protection
If you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the dry boiling protection will automatically switch off the appliance. If this happens, allow the kettle to cool down before filling it with cold water for reuse.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NOTE: always unplug the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
- Never immerse the kettle, power cord or base in water or allow moisture to come into contact with these parts.
- Clean the body of the kettle with a damp cloth or sponge, never use abrasive products.
Warning: do not use chemicals, steel wool or abrasive detergents to clean the kettle body, as these may damage its finish.
- When the kettle is not in use, store the power cable in the compartment under the base.
Removal of limescale deposits
Descale the kettle regularly, as mineral deposits from tap water can form limescale on the bottom of the kettle, adversely affecting the kettle's lifespan and performance. To descale the kettle, you can use a commercial descaling agent and follow the manufacturer's instructions for use. Another option is to follow the instructions below using white vinegar:
- Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add water to the solution so that it completely covers the bottom of the kettle. Leave it to act overnight.
- Discard the mixture and then fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum level. Boil the water and then discard it. Repeat this procedure several times until the vinegar smell has disappeared.
Note: you can remove any remaining stains on the inside of the spout by rubbing with a damp cloth.
