Hanging or placing the radio-controlled weather station securely
The radio-controlled weather station is not designed for use in rooms with high humidity (e.g., bathrooms). Before fixing it to the wall, make sure that there is no gas, water, or electricity line at the drilling location. Use suitable screws and dowels (not included in the scope of delivery). Note the condition of the wall. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper fastening.
Protect sensitive surfaces before setting up, as otherwise scratches can occur. Make sure that:
- adequate ventilation is always ensured (do not place the radio-controlled weather station on shelves or where curtains or furniture cover the ventilation slots (23) and leave at least 10 cm space on all sides);
- the radio-controlled weather station is not placed on a thick carpet or bed during operation and there are no direct sources of heat (e.g., heaters) acting on the radio-controlled weather station;
- no direct sunlight hits the radio-controlled weather station;
- contact with water spray and water drops is avoided;
- the radio-controlled weather station is not hanging or standing in the immediate vicinity of magnetic fields (e.g., loudspeakers);
- no foreign bodies and dust can enter;
- candles and other open flames must be kept away from this radio-controlled weather station at all times to prevent the spread of fire.
Set up the rain gauge securely
Place the rain gauge in such a way that it can detect direct weather influences and the water cannot damage the place where it is set up. Because the water is released again directly after the measurement through the drainage holes (28). The battery compartment in the rain gauge has protection class IPX4 and is therefore protected against splash water. The rain gauge can be attached to a horizontal surface with screws. Without attachment, the rain gauge may fly around in gusts of wind and a risk of injury cannot be ruled out. Use suitable screws (not included in the scope of delivery) for fastening. The 4 holes (32) for this are in the bottom of the rain gauge.
Make sure that:
- the rain gauge is level, use the built-in spirit level (27);
- adequate ventilation is always guaranteed (leave at least 10 cm space on all sides);
- the rain gauge is not hanging or standing in the immediate vicinity of magnetic fields (e.g. loudspeakers);
- no foreign bodies and coarse dirt can enter;
- sensitive surfaces must be protected from scratches and water before installation.
Setup

First insert the batteries into the battery compartment of the rain gauge (30) and only then into the battery compartment of the radio controlled weather station (24).
Remove the protective film from the display of the radio-controlled weather station.
Unscrew the housing of the rain gauge (a). Loosen the safety screw (31) on the battery compartment cover and open the battery compartment of the rain gauge (30).
Insert two 1.5 V AA R6 /LR6 batteries in the correct polarity.
