Frequently Asked Questions - FCO 70 ON/G FRANKE

How to install the Franke FCO 70 ON/G hood?
Installation must be carried out by a professional. Attach the wall bracket to the wall using the supplied dowels, then hang the hood. Connect the exhaust duct (diameter 150 mm) or install the charcoal filter for recirculation mode. Plug in the power supply.
How to clean the grease filter?
The aluminum grease filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Clean it every month or more often if the hood is heavily used.
Is a charcoal filter needed for the FCO 70 ON/G hood?
The charcoal filter is only necessary in recirculation mode (without external evacuation). It is placed behind the grease filter and should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on use. Recommended model: Franke FC.
How to change the hood LED bulb?
The LED bulbs are integrated and must be replaced by a professional. Contact Franke after-sales service to get a replacement part.
The hood is noisy, is that normal?
A noise level of 52 dB at minimum speed is normal. If the noise becomes excessive, check that the grease filter is clean and that the ducts are not obstructed. If the problem persists, contact a technician.
What is the recommended mounting height?
For electric cooking, the hood should be installed 65-75 cm above the hob. For gas cooking, allow 75-85 cm to comply with safety standards.
How to use the hood controls?
The push buttons allow you to select the speed (3 levels) and turn on the lighting. Press the stop button to turn off. Refer to the manual for details.
Can I use the hood without external extraction?
Yes, in recirculation mode. You need to add a charcoal filter (sold separately) and follow the installation instructions. The hood recirculates filtered air back into the kitchen.
The hood does not turn on, what to do?
Check that the power supply is plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. If the lighting does not work, the LEDs may be defective. Contact Franke customer service.
Where to find spare parts for the FCO 70 ON/G?
Spare parts (filters, bulbs, etc.) are available from Franke customer service or on their website. Use the reference 'FCO 70 ON/G' to identify compatible parts.

When the cooker hood is used in conjunction with appliances supplied with energy other than electric, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0.04 mbar to prevent fumes being drawn back into the room by the cooker hood. - The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent. - Connect the plug to a socket complying with current regulations, located in an
