Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years old and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep this appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or appropriate instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- The appliance must not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its power cable out of the reach of children.
- This symbol means: caution, hot surface. The

accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself.
- WARNING: do not remove the cover while the water is boiling.
- CAUTION: place the cover in such a way as not to direct steam at the handle.
- The kettle must exclusively be used with the supplied base.
- CAUTION: make sure the appliance is switched off before removing it from the base.
- This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be spilled.
- Avoid touching the hot surfaces when in operation, and let it cool down for a few minutes after use. Grab it by the handle. The kettle surfaces are likely to be hot during use.
- To prevent possible injury caused by steam, do not face the spout when operating the kettle.
- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is earthed.
- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
- Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not touch the water!
- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be repaired by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any type of danger.
- Do not carry or pull the appliance from the power cable. Do not use the power cable as handle. Do not push the cable against corners or sharp edges. Do not crush the power cable with the full weight of the appliance. Keep the cable
away from hot surfaces.
- Do not operate the appliance if its cable, plug, or body show visible damage, do not operate properly, or have been dropped.
- Do not use the appliance in confined spaces with explosive or flammable vapours.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Unplug it from the power supply when you finish using it and before leaving the room.
- Avoid spillage on the conductor cable.
- The surface of the heating element is subject to residual heat after use.
- In case of misuse, personal injury and/or material damage may occur.
- Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
- Always turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use, before moving it to a new location, and before assembling or disassembling it. To avoid tripping hazards, wind the cable safely.
- To ensure the correct operation of the appliance, cleaning and maintenance tasks must be carried out according to this instruction manual. Always turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Boiling water may overflow from the kettle.
- Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
- Fill up the kettle with cold water only.
- The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks.
- Always ensure that the cover is tightly closed.
- The kettle body must fit correctly with the kettle base.
- Remove and refit the cover carefully when hot.
- Take extreme precaution when moving the kettle containing
hot water. Never lift the kettle by its cover. Always use the handle.
- Never switch on your kettle when empty.
- Do not use the base unit for other purposes.
- To avoid scalding, do not open the cover during the boiling process or immediately after.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION
Basic instructions for using the kettle
- The refilled water level must be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
- Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
- Close the cover and make sure it is securely closed.
- The base and exterior of the kettle must not get wet.
- The body of the appliance must fit the base.
- Do not open the cover when pouring.
- Be careful when opening the cover to avoid splashing the condensed water that is already on the cover.
Before using the kettle for the first time
Before using the kettle for the first time, rinse it thoroughly.
Then, proceed as follows:
- Fill the kettle halfway with water. Do not add any other products.
- Next, switch on the kettle using the power switch. The indicator light will light up indicating that the water is heating up.
- After boiling the water, the appliance will switch off automatically.
- Lift the kettle carefully and empty the water into the sink. Avoid splashing water, as it is hot, and it could burn you.
- The kettle is now ready for use.
Using the appliance
- Place the base on a flat surface.
- Fill the kettle with water (do not add any other product). Note: do not overfill. Please note the water level indicator on the viewing window.
- Lay the cover.
- Place the kettle on the base
- Only connect the kettle to a properly installed 230 V~ 50 Hz safety socket. Note: check if the voltage you are going to use is the same as that of the kettle.
- Press the power switch to start the kettle. Note: the indicator light on the switch will light up indicating that the water is heating up.
- After boiling the water, the indicator light will switch off automatically. Note: be careful, you could get burned.
- Do not open the cover when pouring.
Note: safe use: the appliance features a safety system that automatically switches the kettle off when water boils.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning the kettle, unplug it and allow it to cool down.
- Clean the housing of the appliance with a slightly damp sponge or cloth.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal brushes or any other object that may scratch the surface.
Cleaning the filter
If necessary, clean the anti-scale filter (Fig. 2) with a soft, damp brush.
Descaling
- Depending on the quality of the water in your area, limescale deposits may form inside the appliance, so it is advisable to remove them regularly.
- Any warranty claims will be void if the appliance malfunctions due to insufficient descaling.
To perform a correct descaling, follow the steps below:
- A mixture of 0.5 litres of water and 40 ml of vinegar is suitable for descaling.
- Pour in the descaling solution.
- Switch on the appliance until the solution reaches boiling temperature.
- Leave it on for a short period of time.
- To clean the main body after descaling, rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
NOTE:
- During descaling, make sure that there is sufficient ventilation and do not inhale vinegar fumes.
- Do not pour descaling products into enamelled sinks.
Storage
- Make sure the appliance is completely cool and dry before storing.
- Wrap the power cable around the base for storage.
- Store the kettle in a cool, dry place.
