  3. Check whether thenetwork cable length exceeds the allowed range (100m).

Handle the problem according to the procedures below:

  1. CheckwhethertheLANportindicatorLEDisON;ifnot,replacethenetwork cable.
  2. CheckwhetherthecomputerissetwithafixedIPaddressinthenetwork segmentof192.168.1.x.

4.6 FailingtoAccessInternetUsingtheLANPort

Handle the problem according to the procedures below:

  1. Check whether the computer is set with a fixed IP address. If yes, modify the configurations that the computer can obtain an IP address automatically. Then retry the connection.
  2. If the computer is obtaining IP addresses automatically, check whether the computer has obtained an IP address in thenetwork segment of 192.168.x.x.
  3. Contact the personnel in the network management center to check whether the WAN is connected correctly and bound with the LAN port.

4.7 Measured Internet Access Rate Lower or Higher Than The Standard Value

Contact the personnel in the network management center to check whether the bandwidth profile is configured correctly and bound to the ONT.

4.8ConnectiontolPTVFailed

Handle the problem according to the procedures below:

  1. Check whether the STB is connected to the ONT port correctly and configured with IPTV account number and password correctly.
  2. ContactthenetworkmanagementcentertocheckwhethertheIPTVservice workorderhasbeendelivered.
  3. CheckwhethertheONTconnectionportistheserviceportboundwiththeIPTVworkorder.

4.9IPTVPictureSuspended

Handle the problem according to the procedures below:

  1. Check whether the quality of thenetwork cable connecting the STB (SetTopBox) issatisfactory.
  2. ContactthenetworkmanagementcentertocheckwhethertheIPTVserviceis boundwiththeratelimitingprofilecorrectly.
  3. Replacethe STB.

4.10 TestofVoiceServiceFailed

Handle the problem according to the procedures below:

  1. Checkwhetheryoucanhearthecurrenttonewhenyougooff-hook;ifno, checkwhetherthephonecableisconnectedcorrectly.
  2. Checkwhetheryoucanhearthedialtonewhenyougooff-hook;ifno,contact thenetworkmanagementcentertocheckwhetherthevoiceserviceworkorder hasbeendeliveredcorrectlyandwhethertheuplinkdevicehasdeliveredthe configurationdatatothevoiceserviceportoftheONT.
  3. LogintotheONTtocheckwhetherithasobtainedanIPaddressforvoice service.
  4. Contact the soft switch platform to check whether the voice encoded data have been configured.
