Frequently Asked Questions - 5B36N0250AU BLAUPUNKT

How do I set the timer on my Blaupunkt oven?
Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time. The oven will automatically shut off when the time elapses. You can also use the touch panel to set a countdown timer.
What does the 'Fan' function do?
The fan circulates hot air evenly around the oven, allowing you to cook multiple dishes at once without flavor transfer. It also helps reduce cooking time.
How do I clean the oven interior?
After cooking, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive oven cleaner. The enamel coating makes cleaning easier.
Why is my oven not heating up?
Check the power supply and ensure the oven is properly plugged in. Verify that no fuse has blown. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.
Can I use aluminum foil in the oven?
Yes, but avoid covering the bottom or heating elements. Use foil only on shelves or to wrap food, and ensure it does not touch the elements.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the 'Child Lock' button for 3 seconds until a lock icon appears on the display. To deactivate, repeat the same step.
What is the maximum temperature?
The oven can reach up to 250°C in conventional mode. For safety, the thermostat prevents exceeding this limit.
Why does the oven light stay on?
The interior light may remain on during cooking if the function is selected. Check the light switch on the control panel; you can turn it off manually if desired.
How do I replace the oven bulb?
Disconnect power, unscrew the protective cover, and replace the bulb (typically G9, 25W) with a new one. Reattach the cover and restore power.
Is the oven self-cleaning?
No, this model requires manual cleaning. However, the enamel interior resists stains. For easier cleaning, wipe spills immediately after the oven cools.

FITTING THE OVEN INTO THE KITCHEN UNIT

Fit the oven into the space provided in the kitchen unit; it may be fitted underneath a worktop or into an upright cupboard. Fix the oven in position by screwing into place, using the two fixing holes in the frame. To locate the fixing holes, open the oven door and look inside. To allow adequate ventilation, adhere to the measurements and distances specified when fixing the oven.

IMPORTANT

If the oven is to work properly, the kitchen housing must be suitable. The panels of the kitchen unit that are next to the oven must be made of a heat-resistant material. Ensure that the glues of units made of veneered wood can withstand temperatures of at least 120 °C. Plastics or glues that cannot withstand such temperatures will melt and deform the unit. Once the oven has been lodged inside the units, electrical parts must be completely insulated. This is a legal safety requirement. All guards must be firmly fixed into place so that it is impossible to remove them without using special tools. Remove the back of the kitchen unit to ensure an adequate current of air circulates around the oven. The hob must have a rear gap of at least 35 mm.

DECLARATION OF COMPLIANCE

When you have unpacked the oven, make sure that it has not been damaged in any way. If you have any doubts at all, do not use it: contact a professionally qualified person. Keep packing materials such as plastic bags, polystyrene, or nails out of the reach of children because these are dangerous to children.
