Frequently Asked Questions - Cook 4 Me CZ700 KRUPS

How do I use the pressure cook function?
Select the Pressure Cook mode using the control panel. Add ingredients and liquid, close the lid securely, turn the pressure valve to the 'Seal' position, and set the time. The unit will build pressure and begin cooking. After cooking, release pressure naturally or manually using the quick-release button.
Can I use the saucepan for slow cooking?
Yes, the Slow Cook mode is available. Add your ingredients, select the mode, and set the desired cooking time (usually 4-8 hours). The lid can be left slightly ajar or closed with the vent open for slow cooking.
How do I clean the inner pot?
The inner pot has a non-stick coating and is dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal utensils to protect the coating.
What is the maximum capacity for rice?
For rice, do not fill the pot beyond the 1/2 level to allow for expansion. Typically, up to 6 cups of uncooked rice can be prepared, but always refer to the internal markings on the inner pot.
How do I release pressure after cooking?
There are two methods: Natural release (allow pressure to drop on its own, 10-20 minutes) or Quick release (turn the steam valve to 'Vent' to release steam rapidly). Always keep hands and face away from the steam vent.
Can I open the lid during cooking?
No, the lid is safety-locked while pressure is inside. The unit will only allow opening when all pressure has been released and the float valve has dropped down. Never force the lid open.
What are the safety features?
The Cook 4 Me CZ700 includes overheat protection, a pressure regulator, and a lid locking system. These ensure safe operation by preventing excess pressure, overheating, and accidental opening.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts such as the lid gasket, inner pot, and steam valve are available on the Krups website or through authorized service centers. Visit www.krups.com for more information.
Is the inner pot dishwasher safe?
Yes, the stainless steel inner pot with non-stick coating is dishwasher safe. For best results, place it on the top rack. Hand washing is also recommended to extend the non-stick lifespan.
How do I set the timer?
After selecting a cooking mode, use the + and - buttons to adjust the time shown on the digital display. Confirm by pressing the start button. The timer will count down once cooking begins.
