We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
Intended use
This consumer electronic is intended to receive analogue and digital radio stations (Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB)). The product can be powered with the included power supply or with batteries. Only use the product indoors. This product is only intended for private, non-commercial use. Only use the product for the intended purpose. Any use not specified above or product modification is prohibited and can result in injuries and / or damage. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage due to improper use.
Please note, different countries may have other national legislation regarding which frequency ranges may be received freely. Any information received outside the allowed frequency ranges must not be used for gain, nor the contents thereof or the fact they were received disclosed to third parties.

ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN!
Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material poses a suffocation hazard. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. The packaging material is not a toy.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Do not allow children to play with the product. Never allow children to clean or maintain this product unsupervised. This product is not a toy. If you notice anything unusual during use (e.g. unusual noise, strange odour or smoke), switch the product off immediately and unplug the power supply 19 from the mains socket and, if applicable, remove the batteries. Afterwards, do not use the product until it has been examined by a qualified person. ■ Product repairs must be performed by an authorised speciality company or customer service. Improper repairs may place the user in considerable danger. This will also void the warranty. ■ Never open the housing of the product or the power supply 19. It has no internal parts requiring maintenance.
■ Never cover the product and the power supply 19. Heat may otherwise build up. - Do not place burning candles or open fire on or next to the product. - Do not throw the product into fire or expose it to high temperatures. - Avoid very high volumes for prolonged periods. Hearing

damage may otherwise occur.

WARNING! AVOID DANGER TO LIFE DUE TO ELECTRIC SHOCK!
■ Always connect the product to a properly installed mains socket. Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that of the power supply 19 (see "Technical data"). The power supply 19 of the product must be plugged into an easily accessible mains socket so the product can easily be disconnected from power in the event of an emergency. ■ Never touch the power supply 19 or the product with damp or wet hands. Before using the product, make sure that both the product and the cable connection are undamaged! Never use a damaged product! ■ Always use the included power supply 19. ■ Never immerse the product and the power supply 19 in water or other liquids. - Do not use the product in very humid rooms, e.g. kitchen, bathroom or sauna. This product is only intended for use in dry locations and temperate climate. - Do not use the product near splashing water, baths or swimming pools. Do not make unauthorised changes or modifications to the product.
Do not place objects filled with water (e.g., vases or beverages) on or next to the product. If liquids have entered the product, immediately unplug the power supply 19 from the socket and, if applicable, remove the batteries. Afterwards, do not use the product until it has been examined by a qualified person. - When the power supply 19 is plugged into a mains socket, it uses a small amount of electricity even if the product is not connected to the power supply 19 or is switched off. To disconnect from the mains completely, unplug the power supply from the mains socket. ■ Always run the cable for the power supply 19 so it will not present a tripping hazard. ■ Always unplug the power supply 19 from the mains socket before cleaning. ■ Always unplug the power supply 19 by the actual plug. Never pull on the cable.

ATTENTION! RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE!
■ Always set the product on a sturdy, level surface. It could be damaged if it falls. - Do not place heavy objects on the product. - Do not place heavy objects, e.g., furniture, on the cable. - Keep the product away from moisture, dripping water, and splashing water! - Do not use the product near heat sources or other appliances emitting heat! ■ Unplug the power supply 19 from the mains socket during storms.
■ Unplug the power supply 19 of the product from the mains socket and, if applicable, remove the batteries from the battery compartment if the product will not be used for a prolonged period.

Safety instructions for batteries / rechargeable batteries
■ DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. ■ DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or open them. Overheating, fire, or bursting can be the result.
Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
Do not exert mechanical loads on batteries / rechargeable batteries.
Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries
Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures that could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g., radiators / direct sunlight. If batteries / rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged
batteries / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
In the event of a leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.
■ Only use the same type of batteries / rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries / rechargeable batteries. ■ Remove batteries / rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.
Risk of damage of the product
Only use the specified type of battery / rechargeable battery! Insert batteries / rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product. Clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting! Remove exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.
Before use
Note: Remove all packaging material from the product.
Connecting the power supply to power
Note: Before connecting the power supply 19 to the mains, compare the connection data on the type plate of the power supply 19 (voltage and frequency) with the data for your electric circuit. Make sure the data matches to prevent product damage.
Note: To prevent the clock and alarm settings from being lost in the event of a power failure, insert four batteries type 1.5 V LR6 AA (not included). The batteries keep the internal clock running during a power outage. In this case the colour LCD 1 will be off. Once power has returned, the colour LCD 1 automatically shows the correct time.
Connect the coaxial connector of the power supply to the mains connection ◇-⊗-⊗ 3 at the back of the product.
Plug the power supply into a properly installed mains socket to connect the product to the mains.
Inserting / replacing batteries
Remove the battery cover to open the battery compartment at the back of the product. If applicable, remove the used batteries.
Insert four batteries type 1.5 V LR6 AA (not included). Ensure correct polarity. Note the markings inside the battery compartment 6.
Reinstall the battery cover until you hear it lock into place to close the battery compartment 6.
Note: To see the battery status, press the Menu/Info button 10 on the colour LCD 1 several times (see chapter "Displaying information in the colour LCD 1"). The battery level is shown in percent.
Initial use
Switching the product on and off
The product will only display the clock, date and alarm times in standby mode when using the product with the power supply [19] . When battery powered, the colour LCD [1] will be blank until the product is switched on with the ⏻ button [8] .
Switching on / off on mains power:
Fully extend the antenna for good reception. Set the main switch at the back of the product to position „On“. The product is now in standby mode. The colour LCD 1 shows the current date and the time, as well as the alarm settings for alarm 1 and alarm 2.
Press the button to switch on the product. When using the product for the first time it will automatically scan for DAB+ stations after being switched on. The progress bar in the colour LCD 1
indicates the progress of the DAB+ station scan. The number above the progress bar indicates how many DAB+ stations have been found.
After the DAB+ station scan has completed, the product will select the first available DAB+ station and start playing it. By default, the DAB+ stations are listed in numerical and alphabetic order.
Press the button to set the product to standby mode. The colour LCD 1 shows the current date and time 1b, as well as the alarm settings for alarm 1 1g and alarm 2 1f.
Set the main switch at the back of the product to position "Off" to switch the product all the way off.
Note: When the power supply 19 is plugged into a mains socket it uses a small amount of electricity, even if the product is not connected to the power supply 19 or is switched off.
Switching on / off when battery powered:
Fully extend the antenna for good reception.
Set the main switch 5 at the back of the product to position "On".
Then press the ⏻ button 8 to switch the product on. When using the product for the first time it will automatically scan for DAB+ stations after being switched on. After the DAB+ station scan has completed, the product will select the first available DAB+ station and start playing it. By default, the DAB+ stations are listed in numerical and alphabetic order.
Press the button to switch the product off.
Set the main switch at the back of the product to position "Off" to switch the product all the way off.
Note: The station list is automatically saved so the product does not need to scan for DAB+ stations the next time it is switched on.
After being switched on, the product will automatically start playing the last DAB+ station selected.
Note: You can manually scan for DAB+ stations at any time or start an automatic station scan as described in chapter "DAB+ station scan".
- Changing radio modes
You can switch between DAB+ and FM mode.
With the product in DAB+ mode, press the Mode button to switch to FM mode. The colour LCD 1 will now show "FM".
Press the Mode button again to return to DAB+ mode. The colour LCD now shows "Digital Radio".
Note: After being switched on, the product is automatically in the last radio mode used and start playing the last station selected.
- Configuring the product
You can customise the product to your preferences. The various menu options can be found under system settings.
Note: The system settings can be changed in both DAB+ as well as FM mode.
Note: If no entry is made or button pressed, the product automatically returns to playback mode after approx. 30 seconds. Any settings which were not saved by pressing the Select button 16 will be lost.
- Menu options via Menu / Info button 10
You can use the Menu / Info button 10 to configure various basic product settings.
Press and hold the Menu / Info button to open the menu options.
Use the Next button and the Prev button from the menu options.
Confirm each entry by pressing the Select button.
Press the Menu / Info button again to return to the menu options for other settings. To return to playback mode, press the Menu / Info button until the product is in playback mode again. If no button is pressed after the last entry, the product automatically returns to playback mode after approx. 30 seconds.
In DAB+ mode the menu options are:

- Setting the language
In this menu option you can choose from the following four languages: English, French (Français), German (Deutsch), Italian (Italiano).
Press and hold the Menu / Info button 10 to open the menu options.
Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to switch to the System Settings in the menu.
Press the Select button to confirm.
Under System Settings use the button 15 or 11 to select "Language" and press the Select button 16 to confirm.
Use the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to select the desired language.
Press the Select button to confirm the setting. After confirming the entry you will automatically be returned to the menu options.
To return to playback mode, press the Menu / Info button until the product is in playback mode again. If no button is pressed after the last entry, the product automatically returns to playback mode after approx. 30 seconds.
Setting the clock
Press and hold the Menu / Info button to open the menu options.
Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to switch to the System Settings in the menu.
Press the Select button to confirm.
Under system settings, press the 15 or 11 button to select "Clock" and press the Select button 16 to confirm.
The following menu options will be displayed:

Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to switch between the various menu options. Use the Select button 16 to select the respective menu item.
Make your desired settings and confirm each entry by pressing the Select button 16.
Hint: Hold the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to scan through the date and time faster.
Press the Menu / Info button again to return to the menu options for other settings.
To return to playback mode, press the Menu / Info button until the product is in playback mode again. If no button is pressed after the last entry, the product automatically returns to playback mode after approx. 30 seconds.
- Setting the display light
Press and hold the Menu / Info button to open the menu options.
Press the Next button or the Prev button 11 to switch to the System Settings in the menu.
Press the Select button to confirm.
Under System Settings, use the 15 or 11 button to select "Light" and press the Select button 16 to confirm.
The following menu options will be displayed:

Press the Next button or the Prev button 11 to switch between the various menu options. Make your desired settings and confirm each entry by pressing the Select button 16. Press the Menu / Info button 10 again to return to the menu options for other settings. To return to playback mode, press the Menu / Info button 10 until the product is in playback mode again. If no button is pressed after the last entry, the product automatically returns to playback mode after approx. 30 seconds.
Operation
Note: The reception range specified reflects the technical abilities of this appliance. Information received outside of this range must not be used for gain or disclosed. Observe the laws of the respective country.
- Adjusting the volume
Turn the volume control (Volume) 13 clockwise to increase the volume.
Turn the volume control (Volume) anti-clockwise to lower the volume.
DAB+ station scan
We recommend regularly repeating the DAB+ station scan to be able to save current DAB+ stations to the station list of the product. This particularly applies when changing locations, e.g. after moving or on holiday. You can scan for DAB+ stations automatically or manually.
Automatic DAB+ station scan:
Verify the product is in DAB+ mode (see chapter "Switching radio modes"). In this mode the colour LCD 1 will read "Digital Radio".
Press the Scan button for automatic DAB+ station scan. The product will automatically scan for all available DAB+ stations. The progress bar in the colour LCD 1 indicates the progress of the DAB+ station scan. The number above the progress bar indicates how many DAB+ stations have been found. After completing the DAB+ station scan the product will start to play a DAB+ station it found. Open the station list with the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to select a specific DAB+ station. Press the Select button 16 to confirm the selection. The station list shows the DAB+ stations found in numerical and alphabetic order. Use the Next button and the Prev button 11 to switch between available DAB+ stations from the station list.
Selecting a DAB+ station:
Verify the product is in DAB+ mode. In this mode the colour LCD 1 will read "Digital Radio".
Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to select a station from the station list.
Next button 15: Skip to the next station in the station list Prev button 11: Skip to the previous station in the station list
Press the Select button when the desired DAB+ station appears in the colour LCD 1. The product will start playing the selected DAB+ station.
- Seek / change FM station
Verify the product is in FM mode. In this mode the colour LCD will read "FM". Hold the Next button or the Prev button to scan the frequency band for stations. The product will stop scanning when a station has been found.
You can also manually select the frequency in 0.05 MHz increments. To do so, quickly press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 several times. The colour LCD 1 will show the respective frequency.
The product will immediately start playing the respective station.
Saving a DAB+ station / FM station
You can save your favourite DAB+ and FM stations. These can be saved to 20 presets (10 x DAB+, 10 x FM).
Note: The product must be in the respective mode to be able to save DAB+ or FM stations.
Play the radio station you wish to save. Hold the Preset button until the colour LCD 1 reads "Save". Now use the Next button or the Prev button 11 to select a free preset. Presets which have stations assigned will show the name of the saved station. Free presets will show "empty".
Press the Select button to save the station. The current station will be saved to memory.
- Selecting a saved DAB+ / FM station
To be able to access the respective memory of DAB+ or FM stations, the product must be in the respective radio mode (see chapter "Change radio mode").
Press the Preset button. The colour LCD 1 will now show the station memory as a numbered list of station names (DAB+ mode) or the respective station frequency (FM mode).
Press the Prev button or the Next button 15 to select the saved stations (1-10).
Press the Select button to confirm the selection. The product will start playing the selected DAB+ or FM station.
Note: If you press the Preset button and no stations have been saved, the colour LCD 1 will show that the location is "empty". The product will return to the previous station.
• Overwriting presets
You can reassign a preset both in DAB+ as well as in FM mode.
Play the radio station you wish to save.
Hold the Preset button until the colour LCD 1 shows "Save".
Use the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to select the station from the station list you wish to overwrite and press the Select button 16 to confirm. The preset will be set to the new station.
- Setting the Sleep Timer
You can set the product to automatically switch off after the specified number of minutes.
Press and hold the Menu / Info button to open the menu options.
Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to switch to the System Settings in the menu. Press the Select button 16 to confirm.
Under System Settings, select "Sleep" by pressing the Select button 16 to confirm.
Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to scroll through the available Sleep Timer options (Off, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes).
Press the Select button again to confirm.
Note: The Sleep Timer symbol which appears in the bottom left of the colour LCD 1 shows the number of minutes remaining until the product switches off.
To stop the Sleep Timer early, press and hold the Menu / Info button 10 to open the menu options. Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to switch to System Settings. Press the Select button 16 to confirm.
Under System Settings, select "Sleep" by pressing the Select button 16. Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to scroll through the available Sleep Timer options. Select the option "OFF" by pressing the Select button 16 to confirm.
- Setting the alarm / Snooze
The product has a dual alarm, i.e. you can set two different alarm times. First verify the clock is correct on the product as described in chapter "Setting the clock".
Note: The alarm can only be used on mains power.
Press the Alarm button and select one of the two alarm functions: Alarm 1 or Alarm 2. Press the Select button to confirm your selection.
The following menu options will be displayed:

Use the Next button 15 and the Prev button 11 to navigate through the settings and press the Select button 16 to confirm all entries. Press the Alarm button again to return to the menu options and make other changes. Repeat these steps for the second alarm to customise settings, e.g. different alarm times for specific days (weekend). Press the Alarm button to disable the alarm. The alarm will immediately turn off. Press the Snooze button when the alarm goes off to mute the alarm for 10 minutes.
Note: The colour LCD 1 uses alarm symbols 1f, 1g to show the alarm is on. After snoozing the alarm, the alarm symbol will blink in the colour LCD 1 and the 10 minute snooze will count down.
After snoozing the alarm, press the Alarm button to turn the alarm off.
- Connecting headphones
You can connect headphones (not included) to the headphones jack

■ CAUTION! Please note, using headphones at high volume for a long time can damage your hearing.
Plug the headphones connector into the headphones jack 4 (3.5mm jack bush). The speaker 2 will automatically switch off.
- Displaying information in the colour LCD 1
You can have different types of information displayed in the colour LCD 1. Quickly press the Menu / Info button 10 several times to switch between the information displayed in the colour LCD 1. The information is provided by the stations. Some information may therefore not be available for all stations.

* With DAB+ stations, transmission uses a so-called "Ensemble". Meaning, DAB+ stations broadcast several audio data streams together on one frequency.
● Factory reset
You can reset the product at any time and restore the original factory settings.
Note: The factory reset will erase all settings, including the station presets and the station list.
Press and hold the Menu / Info button to open the menu options. Press the Next button or the Prev button 11 to open the System Settings from the menu.
Press the Select button to confirm.
Under System Settings, select "Factory Reset" and press the Select button 16 to confirm. The colour LCD 1 will read "Factory Reset Yes/No".
Press the Prev button to select "Yes" and press the Select button 16 again to confirm your selection.
- Cleaning and care
Unplug the power supply from the mains socket before cleaning the product.
Do not use solvents or other aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these may damage the surfaces and the markings.
Only clean the outside of the product, using a soft, dry cloth.
● Storage during non-use
If the product will not be used for a longer period of time, unplug the power supply 19 from the mains socket, remove the batteries and store the product in a dark, cool location.

O = Press the Next button 15 or the Prev button 11 to manually seek FM stations.

O = Fully extend the antenna 7. Move the antenna 7 to improve reception.

The adjacent symbol of a crossed out dustbin on wheels indicates this product is subject to directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states at the end of the life this product must not be disposed of through regular household refuse but must be returned to special collection sites, recycling depots or waste management companies.
This disposal is free of charge to you.
Protect the environment and dispose of properly. The product is recyclable, subject to extended manufacturer responsibility, and collected separately.
Batteries:
Think about the environment and your personal health. Dispose empty batteries in separate collecting boxes. These can be found in many public buildings or in shops where batteries are sold.

Improper disposal of batteries can harm the environment!
Never dispose of batteries in your household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste regulations. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Therefore dispose of used batteries through your local collection site.
- Warranty
Dear customer,
The warranty on this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. In the event of defects in this product, you have legal rights against the
product vendor. These legal rights are in no way limited by the warranty described below.
Conditions of warranty
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please take care to keep the original purchase receipt. This document will serve as a proof of purchase.
If, within three years of the date of purchase of this product, any defect in material or manufacture should become evident, the product will – as we choose – be repaired free of charge or replaced. This warranty is subject to presentation, within the three-year term, of the defective product and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a brief, written description of what constitutes the defect and when it became evident.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, you will receive back the repaired product or a new replacement. Repair or exchange of the product does not lead to a renewed warranty period.
- Warranty period and legal claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by the above fulfilment. This also applies for replaced and repaired parts. Any damage or defects present at the time of purchase must be notified immediately after unpacking.
Repairs that are carried out after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to a charge.
- Scope of warranty
The appliance has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before shipment.
The warranty applies for defects in materials or manufacture. This warranty does not extend to product parts that are subject to normal wear and can therefore be regarded as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, batteries or parts made of glass.
This warranty is void if the product has been damaged or not properly used or serviced. For proper use of the product, exact compliance with all instructions listed in the user manual is required. It is essential to avoid procedures and use for purposes against which the user manual advises or warns.
The product is intended for private use only and not for industrial/commercial use. Improper handling and usage not in accordance with the intended purpose, use of force and any interventions that are not carried out by our authorised service centre will render the warranty null and void.
