Frequently Asked Questions - FPS501 BLAUPUNKT

How do I assemble the food processor?
Place the bowl on the motor unit and turn clockwise until it locks. Insert the desired accessory (e.g., chopping blade) onto the drive shaft. Place the lid on the bowl and lock it by turning the lid handle until it clicks. Ensure the feed chute is aligned.
Can I process hot ingredients?
No, allow hot ingredients to cool to room temperature (max 60°C) before processing to avoid damaging the bowl or causing steam pressure buildup.
How do I clean the parts?
Disassemble all removable parts. Wash the bowl, lid, and accessories in warm soapy water or place them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth; never immerse it in water.
Why won't the motor start?
Ensure the bowl and lid are correctly locked in place. The safety interlock prevents operation if not fully assembled. Also check that the power cord is plugged in and the speed dial is not at 0.
Can I crush ice with this food processor?
It is not recommended. The blades are designed for soft to medium foods. Crushing ice may damage the blade or motor. Use a dedicated ice crusher instead.
How do I use the pulse function?
Turn the speed dial to the 'Pulse' setting (usually marked P). Press and hold the dial for short bursts to control chopping texture. Release to stop.
What is the maximum capacity for kneading dough?
Do not exceed 500g of flour when kneading dough. Overloading may strain the motor or cause leakage.
The bowl leaks during use, what should I do?
Check that the bowl seal is properly in place and not damaged. Ensure the bowl is not overfilled. If the issue persists, contact customer support for a replacement seal.
Can I replace the blades myself?
Yes, replacement blades are available. To replace, carefully remove the old blade by pulling it off the drive shaft. Align the new blade with the shaft and press down until it clicks. Always handle blades with care.
Is the food processor BPA-free?
Yes, all plastic parts that come into contact with food are made from BPA-free materials, ensuring safe food processing.
