Before using the product, please carefully read this manual and save it properly.

- Connect the power cable. Excess cable is pulled into the housing trough.
Attention! Power cord hanging down on the floor can be entangled by the cleaner, or removed from the power outlet, which will cause power interruption.
- On a flat surface, set a charging base and connect it to the power supply.
Note: Make sure that both sides of the charging base have at least 0.5 m, and the front surface has at least 1.0 m of free space.
3. Turning on and charging the device.
Press and hold the O button, wait for the ring lamp to light up, and press the device to a charging base.
The color of the ring indicator lamp shows the amount of electric charge:
White - 50% or more;
Yellow - 50% to 20%;
Red - less than 20%.
Attention! At too low battery level, you cannot turn on the device. In this case, please press the device to a charging base.
Caution
Before you start cleaning, make sure that there are no wires or foreign objects on the floor, which are easily overturned, broken, or valuable items that may be damaged, or that may confuse the unit, because of which sticking, collision, or whatever may happen, causing harm to persons and property.
If the device is used in a space where there is a height difference, take care of reliable physical protection - an anti-fall device screen, to prevent damage to people and property.
Attention! During the first cleaning, please follow the device personally and help it with any issues that arise - after such cleaning, it will be hassle-free. If there are areas that do not require cleaning and the unit can get stuck in them, set up a virtual barrier to deter the unit from entering those areas.

5. Start Cleaning.

4. QR code
Find the "Mi Smart Home" app on the manufacturer's page or scan the QR code to download the mobile app. Open the device's lid and look for the Wi-Fi status indicator light. Follow the instructions in the app.

Usage
On/Off
Press and hold the O button to turn on the device; the indicator ring lights up and the cleaner listens for commands. When the appliance is in standby (idle), press and hold the O button to turn it off, and cleaning is finished.
Note: The device cannot be turned off while charging.
Cleaning.
After a short press of the O button, cleaning starts (cleaning algorithm, see the diagram on the right). Pressing any button during cleaning pauses the operation.
Caution!
If the charge is too low, cleaning cannot start. Please charge the device and try again.
If, during cleaning, the battery level falls below a critical threshold, the unit automatically returns to its base to recharge. After recharging to an acceptable level, it automatically returns to the location where cleaning was interrupted and resumes.
Before cleaning, ensure there are no wires on the floor (including the charging station's power cable) to prevent them from tangling the device, pulling it out of the network, or damaging wires and objects.
If cleaning finishes in less than 10 minutes, it is performed again by default.
Charging.
Auto: After cleaning, the unit automatically returns to its base to recharge.
Manual: During a pause, quickly press the "Home" button, and the unit will return to its base to recharge while the ring indicator lamp starts flashing slowly.

If the device cannot find the charging base, assist it manually.
Cleaning algorithm
After starting cleaning, the device follows an intelligent scanning scheme: it moves along walls, divides the space into zones, and builds cleaning routes in a zigzag pattern (like the letter Z).
When the cleaner finishes cleaning one area, it moves to the next without gaps. When the entire cleaning is complete, the device automatically returns to its base to recharge.

Partial cleaning
While the device is in standby or pause, long press the "Home" button, and a partial cleaning automatically begins; its algorithm is cleaning a 1.5 m x 1.5 m zone around the device, after which the vacuum cleaner automatically returns to the starting point of partial cleaning and goes into stop mode.
Attention! If during a partial cleaning pause mode is activated, cleaning will be completed.

Pause
During movement of the device, press any button.
When you press the O button, cleaning continues. When you press the "Home" button, the unit returns to the base to recharge and cleaning will be completed.
Note: If, during a pause, you press the device to a charging base, cleaning will be completed.
State of accident
When, during the motion of the device, a fault occurs, the ring light indicator starts rapidly flashing red, accompanied by a voice indication. Ways to solve emergency problems, see "Solving problems upon detection of faults."
Note!
If an alarm condition occurs, and the device is not touched for more than 10 seconds, it automatically goes into sleep mode.
If in the event of an emergency condition, you press the device to the charging base, the cleaning will be completed.
Sleep mode
If the unit does not operate for more than 10 seconds, it automatically goes into sleep mode. The ring light indicator flashes red once per second. If, during sleep, you press any button, the device can be awakened.
Note!
During charging on a base, the device may not enter Sleep mode. After 12 minutes in Sleep mode, it automatically turns off.
Planning of cleaning
Using the mobile app, you can schedule cleaning for a specific time, and the unit will automatically start cleaning at the selected time, and after finishing, it will automatically return to the base to recharge.
Wi-Fi Reset
If, for hardware reasons, or if you have forgotten the Wi-Fi password, etc., you cannot connect and operate the device using a mobile phone, open the upper hinged cover, and then you will see a Wi-Fi status indicator. Simultaneously press and hold the buttons O and «Home». At this time, you will hear a voice command «Reset Wi-Fi». Wait until the indicator flashes slowly again; the reset was successful.
Cleaning algorithm
With the mobile app, you can choose a quiet, normal, or energetic cleaning mode. By default, the standard mode is selected.
DND mode
In «Do Not Disturb» mode, the instrument cannot continue cleaning and speech means informs about it. The frequency of the ring indicator flashing is reduced. «Do Not Disturb» mode is configured to 22:00 to 08:00 by default. With the mobile application, you can enable or reprogram its time.
Virtual barrier
This is a non-standard addition, can be purchased at www.mi.com. Virtual barriers can be used to limit the location of undesirable areas for the device, for example, dangerous changes in levels, steps, places where it is possible for the device to get jammed.
Attention! Very carefully and firmly attach barriers, so that they do not come unstuck, otherwise their application will be ineffective.

Charging base
The charging base should be placed on a flat surface, leaning against a wall, with at least 0.5 m of free space on each side and at least 1.0 m in front. It should be connected to a power outlet. To ensure satisfactory reception of the Wi-Fi mobile phone, position it in an area with a good signal.
Attention! Do not place the charging base in direct sunlight or in places where access is difficult, and where the device may have problems returning to the charging base.
Daily care
Main brush. Weekly cleaning recommended.
- Press the tab at the bottom of the device and remove the main brush.
- Pull out the main brush and clean the bearings of the main brush.
- Clean hair tangled on the main brush using the included cleaning tool.
- Replace the main brush and secure it with the cover latch.

It is recommended to change the main brush every 6-12 months for cleaning effectiveness.

- Open the front cover of the dust container.

It is recommended to clean weekly.
- Lift the top cover of the device, press the latch, and pull out the dust collector.

- Empty the trash from the dust collector.

Attention! To avoid clogging the filter mesh, tap the dust collector to empty the trash.
The filter mesh cannot be washed with water, otherwise it will become clogged with dust and affect cleaning efficiency.
Attention! It is recommended to replace the filter mesh every 3 months to ensure cleaning efficiency.

Remove and replace the filter mesh as illustrated.
Battery
The device uses a powerful high-performance lithium-ion battery pack; during daily use, please monitor the battery status.
Attention! If the device is not used for a long time, charge the battery at least once every 3 months during storage to prevent abnormal discharge.
The side brush should be cleaned monthly.
- Turn off the device and remove the side brush mounting screws.
- Pull out and clean the side brush.
- Place the side brush back and tighten the screws.
Attention! It is recommended to replace the side brush every 3-6 months to ensure cleaning efficiency.

- Turn off the device and remove turning wheel;
- Clean a wheel and its bearings from hair and sticky substances;
- Fit a wheel back.

Software update
Use a mobile app to update the device's software. Before updating, make sure the battery charge is at least 20%.
When you update the software, the ring indicator light flashes white quickly.
System reset
If there is no response when pressing buttons or if the device cannot be turned off, try rebooting the system by pressing the system reset button (see Section 2). The unit will automatically start again.
Attention! Rebooting the system will destroy the settings for scheduled cleanings and cleaning modes, and will also reboot the Wi-Fi connection.
Reset to factory settings
If, after rebooting, normal operation of the device is not restored, press and hold the «Home» button and simultaneously press the system reboot button once. You will hear a voice message «Return to initial factory settings» and the system will return to factory settings.
