Assembly
- Unpack the 14" Electric Grill from the box.
- Please note the glass lid is packed upside down in the base. Remove before using.
- Wipe clean all of the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Attach the handle to the glass lid by placing the knob on the handle base on top of the glass lid. The screw with the bolt will reach under the glass lid. Turn the screw set clockwise while simultaneously turning the handle clockwise. This will ensure the handle is securely attached to the glass lid.

- Place the drip tray into the base of the grill. It may be easiest to line up the tabs on the pan with the tabs on the base at an upward angle, then follow the tabs and push the drip tray into place.
- Plug the probe into the grill with the power knob facing up.

DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE. DO NOT IMMERSE THE TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS.
General information
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Please read and save all instructions before using the 14" Electric Grill.
NOTE: During first use, the Grill may give off a slight odor. This is due to the newness of the product and will dissipate with use.
- DO NOT immerse the temperature probe in water or other liquids. Protect yourself from electrical hazards.
- Do not use outdoors or while standing in a damp area. For household use only.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children. This 14" Electric Grill is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- DO NOT operate the 14" Electric Grill with a damaged power cord or plug or after it has malfunctioned or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact the warranty center for instructions.
- When not in use (and before cleaning), the 14" Electric Grill should be turned OFF and unplugged from the outlet. Avoid all contact with moving parts.
- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch any hot surface.
- Do not use the 14" Electric Grill for other than intended use.
- Do not operate this unit with wet hands.
- Do not use this unit with an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
- Do not place the 14" Electric Grill on or near hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- A hazard may be caused by the use of accessory attachments NOT recommended by the manufacturer.
- A short cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

Safety instructions
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
Polarized plug
NOTE: This 14" Electric Grill has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
- If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
- If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Electric power
If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your 14" Electric Grill may not operate properly. The 14" Electric Grill should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

Safety warning
Although your 14" Electric Grill is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below must be followed:
- Do not place the grill near a heat source.
- Never leave the grill unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.
- Use the grill on a stable work surface away from water.
- Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
- The 14" Electric Grill must be unplugged:
A. After each use. B. If it appears to be faulty. C. Before cleaning or maintenance.

User instructions
Before first use
- Wash all pieces, except the temperature probe, in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before first use.
- Do NOT immerse temperature probe in water or any other liquid.
How to use
- Place base on heat resistant stable surface in a well ventilated area.
- Place the drip tray onto the base.
- Make sure the temperature probe is turned off. Insert temperature probe into the receptacle in the handle. Plug the power supply cord into a wall outlet.
- Adjust the temperature probe to the desired temperature. NOTE: The power indicator light is also the temperature indicator for the grill.
- Allow the unit to preheat 7–10 minutes. Place food directly on the grill. Place glass lid onto grill. Cook food to desired doneness.
- When cooking is finished, turn the temperature probe knob to OFF and remove the plug from the wall outlet.
- IMPORTANT: Wait until the grill has cooled down completely before removing the temperature probe, or attempting to clean the unit.
CAUTION
- Hot oil and liquid may splash as grease and juices hit the drip tray. BE CAREFUL WHILE GRILLING!
- DO NOT TOUCH any hot surfaces while cooking. The grill may become extremely hot while cooking and will remain hot while unit is cooling down.
- DO NOT overload the grill surface.
- DO NOT remove the temperature probe until the grill is turned OFF, unplugged and completely cooled.
- DO NOT move the grill while in use.
DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Always use handles.
ALWAYS make sure that the unit is set to the OFF position when not in use and when unplugging from power outlet.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BASE UNIT AFTER COOKING AS IT REMAINS HOT!
Cooking Tips
- If using bamboo or wooden skewers, soak skewers in water at least 30 minutes before use to prevent burning.
- Use only nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. Never cut food on the surface.
- Cut food into small and equal pieces to ensure more even cooking.
- Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
- If you grill vegetables, fish or lean meat, spray the grilling surface with a cooking spray. If you are grilling meat with any amount of fat, or if the food has been marinated, there is no need to treat the grill prior to cooking.
- If using a marinade with oil, place grill near an exhaust hood. Oil or fat may produce smoke.

Note: This chart is for your reference only. You may need to adjust cooking time and temperature according to the type, size, thickness of food and your own personal taste preference.
Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the 14" Electric Grill is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item.
- When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, turn the temperature probe to OFF and be sure to unplug from the power outlet first and allow item to cool completely before removing the temperature probe.
- Remove the temperature probe from the unit. NEVER IMMERSE THE TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
- Allow the base to cool completely before cleaning. Once cooled, clean the base with a soft cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. The base may be immersed in water. Do not place the base in the dishwasher. Make sure the base is completely dry before using.
- Remove stubborn stains or cooked on food with plastic scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid.
