Frequently Asked Questions - KEV6140FBB ZANKER

How to use the ceramic hobs?
The hobs are turned on by turning the corresponding knobs. Use flat-bottomed pans for better conductivity. Do not use aluminum containers as they may scratch the surface.
How to easily clean the oven?
To clean the oven, use a damp cloth and white vinegar. Avoid abrasive products. The bottom of the oven can be lined with baking paper to limit dirt. Never use laundry spray.
What to do if a hob does not heat up?
First check that the fuse or circuit breaker has not tripped. If only one hob is faulty, it may be an internal connection problem. Contact an authorized technician to replace the heating element.
How to lock the controls for child safety?
Press simultaneously the keys or buttons indicated in the manual for 3 seconds. An audible signal confirms activation. To unlock, repeat the operation. Never leave a child unattended.
What is the oven capacity?
The oven has a capacity of 66 litres, suitable for dishes up to 35 cm wide. The shelves are sliding for easy access.
How to use the fan cooking mode?
Select the fan cooking mode and set the temperature. The ventilation distributes heat evenly, allowing cooking on multiple levels. Preheat for 10 minutes before placing food.
What to do in case of burning smell at first use?
It is normal to smell an odor due to the combustion of manufacturing residues. Heat the empty oven at 250°C for 30 minutes with windows open. The odor disappears after a few uses.
How to set the timer?
Turn the timer knob to the desired time. An audible beep sounds at the end of cooking. The timer does not stop cooking automatically, it only serves as an alarm. Always monitor cooking.
Where to buy spare parts?
Spare parts are available on the zanker.com website or through authorized dealers. Use the model number KEV6140FBB to identify compatible parts.
How to save energy with this cooker?
Use flat-bottomed pans of appropriate size for the hobs. For the oven, favor fan cooking which reduces cooking time. Turn off the hobs a few minutes before the end to benefit from residual heat.
