Frequently Asked Questions - PIUMA IMETEC

How do I assemble the PIUMA vacuum cleaner?
Insert the extension tube into the main body until it clicks. Attach the desired nozzle (floor brush or crevice tool) to the tube. Ensure all parts are securely locked.
How can I clean the washable filter?
Remove the filter from the dust container. Rinse it under lukewarm running water until the water runs clear. Let it air dry completely for 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use detergents or heat sources.
What should I do if the suction power decreases?
First, empty the dust container. Then check and clean the filter. Inspect the hose and nozzle for blockages. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Can I use the vacuum cleaner on hardwood floors?
Yes, the PIUMA is suitable for hard floors. Use the brush accessory to avoid scratches. Ensure the floor brush is clean and free of debris.
How often should I replace the filter?
The filter should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage. If you notice reduced suction or a musty smell, replace it sooner.
Is the vacuum cleaner corded or cordless?
The PIUMA is a corded vacuum cleaner with a power cord of approximately 5 meters. This ensures continuous suction without battery concerns.
What does the thermal protection feature do?
If the vacuum overheats due to a blocked hose or excessive dust, the thermal protection automatically shuts off the motor. After cooling for 30 minutes, you can restart it.
Can I use the vacuum to pick up liquids?
No, this vacuum is designed for dry pick-up only. Using it on liquids can damage the motor and void the warranty.
Where can I purchase spare parts or accessories?
Spare parts and accessories are available on the Imetec official website or through authorized dealers. Check the product manual for part numbers.
How do I store the vacuum cleaner?
Unplug the vacuum and wrap the cord around the cord hooks. Store it standing upright in a dry place. Keep the accessories in a safe place to avoid loss.

If suction does not increase after changing the dust bag (9B), replace the motor protection filter (9D).

CLEANING AND REPLACING THE MOTOR PROTECTION FILTER (9D)
