SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

This manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of installation, use and maintenance. Keep it with care.
- After taking off the packing make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA.
- Do not leave pieces of packing (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities, since these are potential sources of danger.
- The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured only if it is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damage caused by the lack of an earthing system.
- Before connecting the plug to the outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
- Use of adaptors, multiple outlets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of necessity use exclusively approved devices in conformity with the current safety regulations making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
- Any installation which does not comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires.
- The appliance was exclusively designed to cook mixture for crêpes.
- For safety reasons pay attention and:
- do not use the appliance when you are barefoot or having wet hands or feet
- do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment
- do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain...)
- never pull the power cord or the appliance itself in order to disconnect the plug from the outlet
- do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the
main power supply
- never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids
- The appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacities or without experience or knowledge, unless there is someone supervising them or unless they have the use instructions.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The power cord of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.
- In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.
- At the end of the life-cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the power cord after disconnecting the plug from the outlet. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.
- TERMOZETA cannot be considered responsible for any damage to persons, animals or things caused by the incorrect installation or as a result of an illegitimate, mistaken or unreasonable use.
IMPORTANT
- Never put the appliance on or near heating sources such as: radiators, cooking plates, gas cookers, etc.
- Never immerse the appliance in water; never put it in the dishwasher.
- During use, the plate become very hot. Dot not touch them to avoid scalds.
• Always disconnect the appliance plug from the power outlet at the end of use.
USE INSTRUCTIONS
• Take out power cord (6) from the proper housing in the lower part of base (5) and unroll it.
- Place base (5) on a flat, steady, heat-resistant worktop, away form flammable substances or materials (e.g. curtains, tablecloths...) and
sources of heat (e.g. gas cookers, stoves...).
- Plug into outlet leaving easy access for safety reasons.
- Place the appliance on base (5) by means of handle (1).
- Press switch (2) to turn the appliance on.
- Preheat the appliance for 3-5 minutes. When indicator light (3) turns off, the appliance is ready to be used. During operation, the indicator light will turn off and on to indicate that the hot plate temperature is being kept under control.
- Before using the appliance, lightly spread a veil of edible oil or butter on hot plate (4) using absorbent kitchen paper.
• Prepare the crêpes mixture given in the recipe and pour it into bowl (7). - Dip hot plate (4) into bowl (7) for a few seconds (fig.1), straighten it up (fig.2) and wait for it to turn golden brown as you want.
- Remove the crêpe by overturning the appliance onto a dish (fig.3) and by using the supplied spatula (8).

- Unplug the appliance from the outlet when finishing and leave it to cool down completely before cleaning it.
IMPORTANT!
- Never leave the appliance unattended while it is plugged into the outlet.
- Do not touch plate (4) when it is hot, since it it possible to get scalded
- Power cord (6) must not touch hot plate (4).
CLEANING

WARNING!
Before carrying out any cleaning operations, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and wait until the appliance has cooled off.
- Clean hot plate (4) with a soft, non abrasive, slightly damp sponge.
- Clean the appliance body only with a soft dry cloth.
- Wash bowl (7) and spatula (8) with water and a normal washing up detergent.
- Do not use chemical products.
- Do not use abrasive materials or utensils as the non-stick layer on hot plate (4) might be damaged.
- Never dip the appliance into water or other liquid substances.
- Wait until the appliance is completely dry before putting it away.
RECIPES
MIXTURE FOR CRÊPES - BASIC RECIPE
Ingredients
2 eggs
50 gr flour
2 tablespoons of melted butter
50 cl milk
sugar or salt to taste for sweet or savoury crêpes.
Preparation
Put the eggs into a bowl and whip with a whisk. Add flour, butter, sugar (or salt) and stir. Add milk little by little and mix everything together.
Leave to stand for about 45 minutes, then start cooking.
CRÊPES SUZETTE
Filling ingredients
3 oranges
1 lemon
2 tablespoons of sugar
Prepare sweet crêpes using the basic recipe, fold them into four and arrange on a plate.
Melt the butter with the sugar in a pan, then add orange and lemon juice.
Heat the Cognac up separately, then pour it in the pan and cook flambé for a few seconds. Pour the dressing onto the crêpes and serve hot.
JAM CRÊPES
Filling ingredients
Jam at choice
Prepare sweet crêpes using the basic recipe. Spread the jam on the crêpes and roll them up. Put them into a pan, pour in the liqueur and cook flambé for a few seconds. Serve hot.
BANANA CRÊPES
Filling ingredients
3 bananas
sugar to taste
a knob of butter
1 small glass of Cognac
Preparation
Prepare sweet crêpes using the basic recipe. Cut the bananas into thin
slices and brown in a saucepan with butter and sugar.
Leave to cool, then pour the liqueur on top. Fill the crêpes and cook flambé for a few seconds. Serve hot.
SAVOURY CRÊPES
HAM CRÊPES
Filling ingredients
Mustard to taste
8 slices of lean cooked ham
8 thin slices of cheese
35 gr butter
Preparation
Prepare savoury crêpes using the basic recipe.
Spread each crêpes with mustard on one side only, put a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on top. Roll up the crêpes, arrange in a buttered oven dish and cook in oven for about 10 minutes at 250°C. Serve hot.
CRÊPES FANTASIA
Filling ingredients
150 gr raw ham
150 gr button mushrooms
150 gr cream
50 gr butter
1 yellow pepper
1 onion
salt and paprika to taste
Preparation
Prepare savoury crêpes using the basic recipe.
Put the butter into a pan, add the thinly sliced onion and fry. Add the mushrooms and pepper cut into small pieces and cook for about 25 minutes. Cut the ham into strips and add to pan together with cream and a pinch of salt and paprika. Cook for another 2 minutes. Fill the crêpes and serve hot.
ASPARAGUS CRÊPES

24 asparagus tips
3 lemons
Herbal mayonnaise
Preparation
Prepare savoury crêpes using the basic recipe.
Meanwhile squeeze the lemons and marinate the asparagus tips in the juice. Arrange 3 asparagus in each crêpes, roll the crêpes up and leave to stand for 20 minutes. Garnish with herbal mayonnaise upon serving.

In accordance with European Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal.
- The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
- Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
