When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, and Rice Cooker, except lid and pan, in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This product is intended for household use.
NOTE
A. A short power-supply cord (or cord set) is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. B. Longer cord set or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. C. If a long cord set or extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. (2) if the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type three-wire cord, and (3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
This appliance has a polarized plug: (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Cautions
To prevent the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, observe the following instructions.
Before use, remove the paper located between the cast heater and the pan. Be sure to keep the rice cooker out of the reach of children especially when cooking rice.

Always keep the outside bottom of the pan and the cast heater clean and dry. Any foreign matter found should be removed immediately.

Avoid exposing the rice cooker to water or placing the rice cooker near water supply. The rice cooker should not be covered with cloth or any object while in use.

The rice cooker should not be placed on uneven surface. Do not use the pan directly on an open flame.

If the indicator light does not turn on while pressing the switch, do not place any object on the switch, as it may cause the rice cooker to malfunction. The problem should be corrected by a qualified electrician. Be careful of the steam when the rice cooker is being used.


Do not damage the power cord and do not attempt to repair it if it is damaged. Consult your nearest authorized service facility for repair of the cord or plug. Ensure that the plug fits all the way into the wall outlet.


Prevent ants or insects from getting into the rice cooker, as they may cause the rice cooker to malfunction.
Do not substitute the pan with other containers, as it will cause the rice cooker to malfunction. Only the pan included with the rice cooker should be used.
Do not leave the lid overturned in a place where it can reflect sunlight. This may cause damage to walls or furniture.

Do not apply force onto the center of the pan. It will be damaged.

Scoop. CAUTION: To prevent fire or electric shock, discontinue use immediately if the power cord is damaged. Take the appliance to a service center for cord replacement.
Steaming Basket (for Model SR-G10FG/SR-G18FG)
1. Measure rice with the measuring cup provided. Then rinse the rice thoroughly using another container.

2. Put the rinsed rice in the pan and add water according to the scales shown in the table below.

Adjust the quantity of water to your personal taste. Soak rice in water for at least 30 minutes.
3. Place the pan into the body. Make sure the pan is directly in contact with the cast heater by turning it slightly from right to left until it settles properly.

Wipe the surface of the pan before use. If it is wet, it may cause noise while cooking. Any foreign matter between the pan and cast heater may damage the unit.
4. Close the lid firmly.

If the lid is not securely closed, cooking will be affected. Do not open the lid when in use.
5. Plug in and press the switch. The light indicating "COOK" will turn on. Cooking will start immediately.

Do not plug in the unit until you are ready to cook. Otherwise, rice may be ruined. If the pan is not in the unit, cooking will not begin.
6. When the rice is cooked, the switch will move up to the keep warm position, and the light indicating "WARM" will turn on instead. This shows that the warming function is working. After the switch moves up, leave the lid closed for at least 15 minutes to fully steam the rice. Scoop and mix the rice well.

■ Only Model SR-G06FG does not have a warming function. The light indicating "COOK" will turn off when the rice is cooked.
■ The warming function continues until the unit is unplugged.

Add water into the pan and place the steaming basket on the pan. Slightly turn or adjust the steaming basket to the left and right until it fits onto the ribs at the edge of the pan.

■ If cooking rice at the same time, DO NOT cook beyond the following capacity.

Place the pan into the body and add foods (place in dish if required).

Plug in and press the switch. The light indicating "COOK" will be on. The steaming will start immediately.

- Do not plug in until you are ready to steam. - If the pan is not in the unit, steaming will not begin.

Time the steaming manually. The unit will automatically switch to "WARM" when water in the pan has completely evaporated.

■ When the food is cooked, the steaming can be canceled by unplugging the unit.

Unplug.

■ The warming function continues until the unit is unplugged.

Remove foods, then the steaming basket and finally pour out remaining water.
■ Be careful of the hot water in the pan.
How to clean
Unplug before cleaning. Check if there is any dirt sticking on the plug and cord. The dirt should be removed immediately. Do not use benzine or thinner in wiping and cleaning the rice cooker.

Cast Heater
Remove any foreign matter on the bottom of pan or cast heater should be removed immediately, as it may cause the rice cooker to malfunction.
