Frequently Asked Questions - TISLIM BRANDT

How to light the oven of the Brandt TISLIM cooker?
Turn the oven knob to the desired temperature. The ignition is electronic, you will hear a click. If the oven does not light, check that the power is connected and that the gas safety has not cut off.
What to do if a gas burner does not light?
Check that the gas is on and that the electrodes are clean. Clean the burners with a brush and soapy water. If the problem persists, contact Brandt after-sales service.
How to clean the induction hobs?
Use a specific induction cleaner and a soft cloth. Never use steel wool or abrasives that scratch the surface. Wipe up spills immediately.
The oven heats too much or not enough, what to do?
Check that the temperature sensor is correctly placed and that the door closes properly. Calibration may be needed. Consult the manual to adjust the thermostat or call a professional.
Can I use aluminium utensils on the hobs?
Yes, but avoid them touching the flames directly. On induction hobs, only use compatible utensils (magnetic base).
How to replace the oven bulb?
Unplug the appliance. Remove the glass cover (turn it) and unscrew the bulb. Replace it with a Brandt replacement bulb of the same type (230V, 15-25W). Refit the cover.
The gas safety often trips, why?
This may be due to an unstable flame (draft) or a dirty burner. Clean the burners and check that the heads are properly in place. If it continues, a sensor fault may be the cause.
How to remove the oven door for cleaning?
Open the door fully. Fold down the hinge latches (see manual). Close the door halfway then lift it to remove. Clean the glass with a mild product.
Where to find the serial number of my cooker?
It is on the rating plate located at the back of the appliance or on the side of the frame (depending on model). This number is needed for spare parts.
Is the TISLIM cooker compatible with a propane installation?
Yes, it can be adapted to propane by changing the burner injectors. Consult a qualified installer. The conversion must be carried out according to the instructions in the manual.
